Man, who'd ever ever guessed I'd get to fifty whole chapters of this! When I first had this idea, I thought I'd have finished it by chapter 30 at best, but here we are, over four years and fifty chapters in! I wrote like two other chapters tonight that I won't be posting until tomorrow and the next day. I promise I am not on crack this is a perfectly reasonable and natural pace to be writing at.

It's been... a hell of a year hasn't it? With an emphasis on one particular word in that sentence. But we pushed through it, even if events have caused updates to become more sporadic as time went along. Between work and the world falling apart eating away at my drive to write, I guess I've fallen behind a tad.

I wasn't very active last year. Normally I write blogs to let people know that I'm still roaming about on the site, but for some reason last year, I didn't. I'm sorry about that. It's not like I had anything going on either, I was just lazy, I suppose.
Can't wait to leave where I am now and go back home. As much as I don't get along with a certain someone, it's still better than going insane and stressed here.
I think I shall also make it better buy taking in another pet to make it more fluffy and homely. Life without a fuzzy companion is a life not worth thinking about. Should buy a degu or other rodent, maybe another guinea pig.
So, I've had a bit of a break, I'm feeling slightly better after the week I've had, and I've been rather productive. And to begin the new year off right, my first chapter of 2023 is a new chapter of Perception.
This time around, it is the "harsh" girl, Sugarcoat.

Hello there, my lovely readers! Mini episode 5, the first of four, is now up.
This one was a fun little exercise in alternate perspectives, as I did not one, not two, but three perspectives here for all the sirens. As for why the alternating cutie marks for them? Well apart from making it clearer whose perspective it was, they actually have symbols I can use.
If I ever start having multiple switches for the OCs though we’ll find some way to make that clear visually as well.
Finally got chapter 4 wrapped up. It's been a busy week and for the first time since all the virus stuff started I got to go to a few Halloween parties this week; which felt weird to be honest. But, aside from the update, I hope everyone has a safe and fun Halloween.

So, my job is changing my work hours. Downside: I go back to working five 8-hour shifts a week instead of four 10-hour shifts. Also I don't actually start until about 11:30 AM. I hate swing shift hours.

However, due to a private commission I was working on during the first week (which is currently on pause due to payment), I've been able to write out the first half of my first winning entry from Patreon: An official sequel to
