Season Two Mini Episode 5 Up! (July 30th) · 10:32pm Jul 30th, 2021
Hello there, my lovely readers! Mini episode 5, the first of four, is now up.
This one was a fun little exercise in alternate perspectives, as I did not one, not two, but three perspectives here for all the sirens. As for why the alternating cutie marks for them? Well apart from making it clearer whose perspective it was, they actually have symbols I can use.
If I ever start having multiple switches for the OCs though we’ll find some way to make that clear visually as well.
Getting into the details a little bit, There was actually a massive amount cut from this in the original draft. The original draft was entirely from Adagio’s point of view, and we saw the briefing in full. It was full of some tasty world building, lots of information on their past, gave us a bunch of answers…
And it was dull as all get out. Boring. Awful even.
So it was cut. The important information will be spread out between various minis and episodes where appropriate.
And thus I moved to doing the three perspectives, which was fun, if difficult. Writing the mindset of Adagio is one thing, but Sonata? Aria? Very different.
Different but fun!

Wait when is the next mini? Is it next Wednesday? And where are two after that? The next full episode chapter is August 16th right? So are the last two minis next Friday and the following Wednesday? It doesn't seem clear to me.

Mini 6 will be on Wednesday as usual. As for Minis 7 and 8, we're still contemplating, because it depends upon a couple of factors.
