I'm not dead, I swear. I'm just meticulously planning this story. Might get it out next year, might get it out Mid-December. Hopes to the future!

It's been released, and it got me thinking. I know that I primarily do crossovers, but a Wild West story has been something of mine I've always wanted to develop. I've thought up of characters, a general plot, and a few things related to the story, but here's the kicker.

So... First I am really sorry that it has been 2 months with no updates to Spectral Eclipse, but college had picked up the pace and thus I hadn’t so much time.

However, now that I finished all my semester exams I've been writing again and I am currently 2.2k into the new chapter and I will try to update it on Sunday.

For much of the morning, things at the embassy had been calm. Lyra had left, taking Starlight with her. Diamond had gone into town, for what purpose he didn't know, but she'd been wearing saddlebags.

There wasn't any sign of impending doom from upstairs, not yet anyway.

So out of curiosity, I've had a lot of upvotes lately (a lot for me that is ) and out of curiosity, if you've upvoted it recently, how did you hear about the story?

I saw a dream last night that I was writing a blog post about the next chapter and how I yet again managed to take my time and post it late. Well, I'm sorry. I'll post it later tonight. Maybe I'll finally feel the pressure to start writing the rest of the story as well when I don't have more complete chapters in store. It's come to my attention that like four months have passed since the last The Equestrian Event, (TEE), update was released. Why? Because I'm slow and meticulous. Whatever that means. And besides, no one really seems to read it through except twenty people, (thank you twenty people!), so I'm not under a whole lot of pressure to rush chapters out.

As it currently stands, I will be updating Dead by Midnight twice a month. I have a relatively strong backlog of written chapters (that I still have to edit ) but frankly speaking I just don't have the kind of free time I did when I was writing Dead by Sunset and Featherfall. Back then I had a job that, while not the best paying, afforded me significantly more free time while still permitting me to pay my bills.

Obviously, things have changed.

While my volume of writing hasn't gone up yet, I find myself with this strange urge to put more details into my scenes. I feel like I've neglected to describe Raiden's surroundings in combat and it honestly really helps the mood i want to portray.

apparently it's my fimfic anniversary today? ten whole years.... a decade.......... wild stuff. here's to (hopefully) another ten more ^^
