People...to keep it brief, I'm going to be offline for a few days (okay not "offline" but very limited activity.) The reason being that I'm going into surgery tomorrow. My eyes have been giving me problems for months and now I have to get it fixed.
No, not that. Not intentionally anyway.
Okay, here's the thing. When it all went to hell, one of the things that got me going again was getting regular, full-time work. I am, somewhat proud to say, a hard worker. I'm very much an equine in that regards. I was born in the Year of the Horse, as was my oldest child, as was my father, by strange coincidence. I am descended from a line of horse warriors, and in fact my last name is a bastardization of the name for them.
So, I talked to the doctor. He says the effusions are too small to aspirate. They aren't likely the cause of the pain. It's most likely a repetitive strain, one so severe it isn't going to go away anytime soon. In fact, at this point it may be permanent.
As the title says, I´m on new meds now. Away from simple SSRI anti-depressants, to something for depression, PTSD, sozial anxiety, anxiety attacks and OCD. They have 50mg and until the next appointment I gotta take a half. I am not going into detail as to why. Simply because it´s not something I want to post openly on the internet. (You´re probably gonna hear about it through stories anyways..)
So National Poetry day was 10/6 so here's one of mine I wrote about a year ago... maybe longer?
Our little one stay close to us dear
your parents said if you wander off you'll know the meaning of fear
but into that forest that is dreary not scary
an adventure awaits as your feeling so merry
but then you get lost on strange paths so deep
and then into a dungeon were dark things do creep
your foolishness brought you to a place were evil never does sleep

"A rare genetic condition afflicting unicorns (and, theoretically, alicorns) in which the tip of the horn comes to a sharp point, rather than the more typical rounded point. While not affecting a unicorn's ability to perform magic, cornu acutus tends to be problematic for the sufferer due to the risk it poses to those nearby, especially spouses, lovers, and pillows.
Hey, guys. It's late here, at least for me, but I figured that maybe I should mention this here. I finally got my primary ADHD medicine back, and took it this morning. I'm feeling... better. Definitely better. Still a little weird, but definitely more alert and I think a little more focused. I still have a slight problem with my insurance in regards to it, but for now, I've got the medicine, which is the most important thing.
But Priest is one of the best folks I've ever met on this site and his dog could use some financial help. Post here. Even if all you can do it comment and let him know you care, I think that'd go a long way.
Do you like pony snuggles? Do you like not dying of treatable illnesses?
Well come one come all, because today your boy CategoricalGrant got his first medical school acceptance to the University of Cincinnati.
Still plenty of interviews in the cycle- but what a relief!
Unusual amount of pain this weekend (past the level the medipot can handle) has kept me on the narcotics, so I'm very delayed in producing horse words. Stay tuned and this will eventually change.
I was off my meds for a couple of days, which completely sucked. But now going back on them is just making my brain somehow more scrambled than being without them! My ADHD meds are the only reasons I can focus enough to write or do... most things, but after not being on them going back on is just a lot? I don't have the words to describe the feeling it's just like... My body wants to go fast but my brain is slowing down and I just ugggghhhhhhhhh
Over the past week, I have been sick with a G-track virus. That wasn't so bad, except that shortly after, I also developed a horrible cough and congestion. This cough wasn't too bad at first, but as of yesterday, I coughed up blood that morning, and also this morning as well. I've gone to the doctor, and they've given me a cough syrup that is EXTREMELY potent, so I may need to take a lot of time off from writing, depending on how long this takes to heal up.
