Is anyone else trying for that pesky 50,000 words?

I've been working on the sequel to The Chaos Prophecy and I'm up to 87,000 but that was over the course of several months. I must admit that I haven't been writing all that much over summer for various reasons but now that it's gotten colder I'm indoors more than I've been outdoors so writing has become more of a priority.

Everything is going to be alright!

First take a deep breath, second I'll tell you right now the world is not going to end in fact it will probably be better than it has been in the last eight years.

Book is live and done! Press release finalized book signings....not so much.

Every week is the same thing. Get up turn on PC see what's going on in the world... not liking what I'm seeing. Check email, turn off PC go to kitchen eat breakfast, do dishes (think up ideas while I'm standing there) go walking around the park 5+ times think even more, come home get ready for work, go to work, vacuum second and fourth floors or first and third floors (depends on the day) walk

    A bit late but...

So National Poetry day was 10/6 so here's one of mine I wrote about a year ago... maybe longer?

Our little one stay close to us dear
your parents said if you wander off you'll know the meaning of fear
but into that forest that is dreary not scary
an adventure awaits as your feeling so merry
but then you get lost on strange paths so deep

    Hectic summer!

I've been really busy this past summer so I wasn't able to write like I usually do. Along with my job, I've been cleaning out a bunch of junk in my room/house, looking for a decent vehicle (that can pass inspection), arguing with my publisher, going to the range for IDPA and just general plinking.

So National Poetry day was 10/6 so here's one of mine I wrote about a year ago... maybe longer?

Our little one stay close to us dear
your parents said if you wander off you'll know the meaning of fear
but into that forest that is dreary not scary
an adventure awaits as your feeling so merry
but then you get lost on strange paths so deep
and then into a dungeon were dark things do creep
your foolishness brought you to a place were evil never does sleep
oh why had you not listened to your parents kind warning
for now your in the darkness no telling if it's even' or morning
the path you take now leads you to your own doom
because of a choice that you made back home in your room
then on a cool drafty breeze
you hear your masters voice begging you please
go back to your home for love is there
instead of on this path to no where
Mater I say I have lost may way
how do I get back to the light of day?
Just fallow my voice and let nothing sway
So to the master I listened and fallowed as I tripped and I fell bleeding
I swallowed
This path may be hard my master said
but if you have faith then you will be back home in your warm bed
so does our adventurer make it back safely home?
This story is yours to finish but it all depends on where you want to
roam.

In other news I am working on the next chapter in I think we're lost, but I have two real books I'm working on as well as the new update in Destiny Rise of Iron/ Iron Banner.
In short my PS4 has been getting more time than my PC. I'm hoping to change that. Time for more meds.... oh that's right I'm out of those well there's always my fall back plan. (No not telling and you don't want to know)
