...but that poor draft has gone through so many revisions. Life loves to throw curveballs, and this year has been no exception. This summer alone has felt like a whole pile of them dropping on me at once.
I'm going to my first MLP convention: Ponyville Ciderfest 2017! I've been to conventions before, but never one for this fandom in particular. Ideally, I would have gone to Bronycon instead, but I still don't have a job, and plane tickets are expensive. In contrast, Milwaukee is within driving distance of where I live. Ponyville Ciderfest is also almost as large in scope, complete with multiple voice actors in attendance.
Only for one day, sadly, but I plan to be at Ponyville Ciderfest all day Saturday. I live just close enough to make the drive there and back. If I had thought ahead on how close it was, I probably would have tried to attend all the days, but I think it's better than nothing.
If anyone is going to be there, let me know and we can maybe meet up. I don't really know how big the writing presence is at non-Bronycon conventions.
Hi, folks,
Ciderfest is less than two weeks away. I hope you can all make it, and if you can't, you'll be able to find some of the panels up on the Ciderfest YouTube page after the convention.
I'm the Programming Director this year, so I'll have my hooves full. I'll try to post more info as we get closer, but realistically, I won't have much time between now and then.
I'm planning on attending my first CiderFest this year, and I'm applying for a panel, there. I have a lot to say about platonic affection's importance in humans and its wide prevalence in the fanfiction of our fandom, being sort of a specialist in it. Ideally though I'd like to have one or two other co-panelists to help guide and create discussion both among the panelists and with the audience. While I'm comfortable enough to do a solo panel, I think it'd be more engaging and smooth if it's not
Hello again!
It's Ciderfest 2022 and I'll be at the Writer's Meet-Up in the Apple Orchard from 12 - 1! Hope to see ya there.
Hope your fall is going well. Why not celebrate it ny reading my fall themed story and giving it a like? That'd be cool.
Hey folks.
I will be at Ponyville Ciderfest in Milwaukee from October 28th-30th.
There's apparently an EQG panel and a fanfic panel, so best bet if you want to run into me. Otherwise shoot me a PM or something.
(also i'm spooky now grr)
To put it bluntly, my first MLP convention was a blast. I sadly had to leave halfway through the charity auction, but I would have stayed until the end if I could. Over the course of the con, I was mistaken for Anon five times, met someone erroneously placed on a terrorist watch list, and turned somepony into a raging manticore. Details after the break.
Hello, all!
Hopefully you've heard the news, but in case you haven't, Ponyville Ciderfest 2023 will be an interactive celebration of writers, and we'd love for you to join us! We'll be back in Milwaukee in late October/early November (dates pending)!
a couple weeks ago, at the cosplay contest at Ponyville Ciderfest, i learned that the judges have a bias toward handmade cosplays (closet cosplays are valid too!) and it motivated me to actually make something that i've had an idea for ever since i watched "Spike At Your Service"
a functional timberwolf cosplay

Dear Readers (especially the demons of sound and darkness):
Everybody has a piece of music that reminds them of the Holidays. Here's mine:
So, if any of you follow Calm Wind or any of my friends in the Troll Squad, you'll know I attended Ciderfest this year in Milwaukee! It was a lot of fun, and quite honestly there was a lot of awesome stuff that happened! Sadly, I don't really have pictures of any of the stuff I got or that happened, because my phone is a pain in the ass.
Oh, wait, I do have one picture! Of which I am really proud of having!
I'm back home from Ciderfest 2023, and it was something. As always, the panels were great, I got to talk with and see some very cool people. It's what's expected, but I love it each and every time I come.
The big new thing was that I got to sell my book there. It was at the After Dark Vendor Hall and I even got to work and help run the AD Bookstore on my first night there. I went in, bringing twenty copies of Pinkamena: Beasts , and hoping I'd be able to even sell five.
Winter Dreams is on sale at Ciderfest! Get it if you can to support the Foundation for Women's Cancer, as well as getting some great stories! Tomorrow is the last day, so hurry!
So, I am not dead. I do live! My life has just been full of... well... bleh, really. being a shift lead can really kill ones creative muse for a time. But it is slowly returning! I have plans in store for my stories. Different breed and Embers story, for now, are on the back burner.
Hey there, folks!
In case you're going to Ciderfest, I'll have copies of the physical edition of "Sensation" available. As always, they'll be pay-what-you-want with a suggested price of $35, and I'll be happy to sign them.
If you want a good time to find me, I'm giving a panel called "Start to Finish: Starting and Ending Your Story" on Friday at 3:30 in the Caramel room. I hope to see you there!
