    Anniversary

I'd like to thank you all for following me as I celebrate my second anniversary on FIMFiction. It was eight years ago today, 29 February 2016, that I created my account (though for some reason my account now reads 1 March 2016). I've enjoyed my time writing on this site and look forward to putting out more work in the future. Thank you all and happy Leap Day!

    2023 Wrap-Up

    Happy New Year's Eve!

I've been reflecting on 2023, and to be honest, it's been exhausting! Over the past year, I:
    1) Completed 28 weeks of military training.
    2) Moved from the West Coast to the East Coast.
    3) Written 10 papers.
    4) Attended 4 conventions (BABSCon, TrotCon, Everfree Northwest, GalaxyCon Columbus)
    5) Published 3 stories.
    6) Drove over 9,000 miles.

    2023 Updates

Well, it's been a long time since I posted a blog. Three years, three months and nine days to be exact. Yeah, I'm not really for blogging. I don't feel the need to clutter up your notification box with details from my life. However, I do post when I have news to announce, such as today.

2019 Update · 11:34pm Feb 11th, 2020

Good Afternoon,

I've been meaning to write a new blog for some time. But things keep coming up....

2019 was an interesting year. I'm sure that you noticed my writing had slackened during that period. It is one of my greatest regrets from last year. However, I would like to put it into some context. As I mentioned, I moved up to Alaska for my new military assignment. Needless to say, organizing, packing (I had to do much of it myself as the DoD movers were less than helpful), and out-processing took up a lot of my time. Once I arrived, I had to resettle and in-process. Then there was the fact that my new position required training - 18 weeks of it lasting over several months. Finally, with use-or-lose leave and a short summer season, I tried to do as much as I could since my time in Alaska would always projected to be a short tour. So over last year, it was extremely busy. To give you some numbers, consider what I did in my spare time:

1) Traveled to 10 states
2) Spent time in 6 different time zones
3) Visited 19 state parks
4) Visited 17 units of the National Park Service, including 6 National Parks
5) Stopped by 3 state capitols and 3 governor mansions
6) Boarded 3 historic ships, including a German WWII submarine
7) Toured 12 historic homes
8) Hiked 4 battlefields
9) Inspected 18 military installations
10) Drove over 10,000 miles
11) Flew over 29,000 miles
12) Partied at 3 conventions (Everfree Northwest, BronyCon, Ponyville Ciderfest)

As you can see, it was a very busy year. At the moment, this year is a little more relaxed. I've started working 12 hour shifts, which eats up a lot of time. And drains me of energy. But I have been working on some new stories. I have one complete story which I'm really excited about, but I will only publish it once its sequel is complete. I've also got some good ideas I can't get out of my head. So expect some new material from me in the future.

V/R,

Dreadnought
