Nearly summer for me, just six more days and then no more school! However, in preparation for the exams, I may need to take more of my time away from here. 
But after exams... 
my plans for the summer include more reading, writing, and editing.

OMG IT'S SUMMER AAAAAAA
Well it's actually been summer for me for a few weeks now. I'm just now writing this blog post.
So since it's summer and I won't crushed by the weight of algebra homework and awful english projects, I can do something productive, like write mediocre fanfictions based off a little girl's cartoon! Might as well make the most of my time here before civilization collapses in the next decade.
Well I'm glad that after putting up with at least 10 months of hell, I get at least 3 months of paradise (I'm using my phone so spelling's crappy)
I keep having to remind myself that the main goal of one of my summer projects is to make a new LOGIC BOARD for a floppy drive, not make an entire freakin' Floppy Drive controller circuit. The difference is that one controls the drive, and the other... uh, controls the thing that controls the drive. Funky.
I scare myself once a week and look up MFM encoding techniques only to remember that that's not my problem™ lol.
So the next chapter of Merlin's story is a little long, so it's taking me some time to write. But I think you guys will enjoy it. It'll involve a little bit of history of Equestria, and maybe even the possibility that the two worlds have merged before. We'll have to wait and see ;).
On that note, the chapter has approached almost 4k words, so I guess we'll see where it goes eh? haha.

First, I hope your summer's are going good.
But now to the point, so as you can probably guess, I might be taking a break from Fimfiction, because of...my mom

You see, now that I'm on break (like from school) you would think I have more time to be on Fimfiction, but no. My mom is forcing me to do all sorts of school stuff to practice for next year, and I know some practice and revision isn't bad, but all the time is a little to much.

Birthday's come and gone, so how are things? Quick update.
First original story is done, in first draft, written over the course of June. I've learned that I can hit 2k words per day, easy, if I have a basic outline, so that's nice. A few types of scenes I struggle with and need more practice or at least figure out how to trick my mind into getting those out smoothly.

After ages of searching, I've finally landed myself an internship for the summer! It pays well, is reasonably close to home, and seems quite interesting. However, this means I won't be able to increase my writing productivity much during that time. I'll still be working on stuff, just without as much speed as I was when I first joined the site last year.
I've sat through a heatwave the past week, so have done absolutely no writing whatsoever... 
While it's going to get a tad colder again this weekend, the heat will return again next week. I'm not sure I'm going to be able to do much writing throughout it...

So yeah, as the title suggests, am I going on an extended break for a while.
The reason is is that I have so many things I need and want to do, that it is making it hard for me to focus on my writing.
But don't fear, as I will be posting the latest chapter of "The fast and the fluttershy" and the beginning of another story before I'll go on hiatus, so you got something to do.
Was running errands early today.
Passed by a Memorial service held for a poor family who had lost a loved one.
It got me thinking about someone in my life who I had lost, how life just moves forward without skipping a beat.
Oi, I tried my best to wear a smile today, but overall I really just felt drained.
It's nearing that time of year again, when I just felt the pressure of my loss the worst.
Each day feels like a Time Bomb.
Today is our 9th Summer Sun Celebration we've shared together as a fandom, and the last we'll have while the show is still active. Why is this important?
Hello Metalheads!
First of all: It's done!! The bunch of chapters I've wanted to write are done. They are now sent to my editor and I really hope that the story can finally be published soon. I really want to thank you for your patience in that regard.
It has been really hot for about two weeks now without so much as a drop of rain. Several records has been broken already and most shops are sold out of fans. The grass on our yard has turned yellow and crispy as a result of this heatwave. Hopefully, things will cool down soon enough...
