You know what I don't do? Read fanfiction from fandoms that are not pony. In fact, I think the last one that I was really into, seriously anyway, was a long-form, unfinished dark Zootopia fic by inimitable purveyor of hilarity theweaver, which I just kind of gave up on after a while for reasons, maybe.
It's been a bit, is what I'm saying. I'm all ponies, all the time.
Except now I'm kind of really obsessed with Deltarune, and so I've started reading Krickis's longfic Tension Points over on AO3. It's good! Krickis is a good writer, I had no fear it wouldn't be.
And of course, while that was happening, my dumb brain was like, "Hey, you know what would be really awesome and not a terrible idea at all? If you wrote a Deltarune fic and made it as stupid as you possibly could, you dumbo."
It's called Does Noelle Is Gay?, because of course it is.
And this is your warning that it exists. :B kbye
Writing fan fiction of a Toby Fox game? Ugh, what a loser...
Same, mostly. If I decide I want to read some other fandom’s stuff, I do one of two things:
1. Go to TvTropes, navigate to a particular work of media, and go to “fanfic recs.)
2. Go to ao3, find a particular fandom or media tag, click on it, and then sort by kudos with literally no filters on (would not recommend this method for particularly large fandoms, such as Marvel, Harry Potter, or [Insert Popular Anime]).
Both of these ways have their issues, but if you’re only looking to dip a toe in and not very worried about missing diamonds in the rough (since there’re enough MLP fics out there that are great but aren’t well known already and I’m not gonna go digging in other fandoms too) it’s really nice.

Man, having now posted on AO3, I realize how spoiled we are here at FIMFic. SO many useful features I just assumed were industry standard for fanfic websites. Blogs, easy searching, a feature/popular box, etc.
5604920 And bookmarks, darnit. Praise Be Unto Knightly and the Crew!
I don’t always read fanfic (complete lies), but when I do, I read pony (truth, for once).
That was adorable. Did miss a confession, but then it'd be longer. Both are totally useless lesbians though.
This is peak not-controlled-by-the-player Kris characterization. Magnificently done.

And ao3 is, IMHO, a major step up from Fanfiction.com. I’ve tried finding stories and otherwise use the site, and I don’t think its UI has been updated since 2002. Which pisses me off tbh, at least ao3 has the excuse that it’s an *archive* first and foremost, which heavily deincentivizes adding bells and whistles and many QoL features. Fanfiction’s just lazy as far as I can tell
In short, praise be to Knighty! We are unworthy of the fruits of their labor, and yet it is given to us all freely.

Now if we can just get him to look again at the Gen Fic sister site...

I've read exactly one (1) story on
Ao3fanfiction.net (The Metropolitan Man, a wonderful Superman story) and, while I'm sure there's a trove of good stuff there, the UI makes my soul hurt.Glory to Knighty et. al. forevermore.
Edit: Okay fanfiction.net not as bad as Ao3, but still a pale candle to Knighty's glorious sun.

They haven't actually gotten together in canon, let's let them figure things out. :)
Deltarune is incredible, no shade.

I still read Ranma fanfics, which are what got me started on fanfics in the first place.
Also, the “where the hell are we now?” Memes have been excellent

Noelle is very much gay.
Also im working on something Deltarune myself. An AU fic around a hypothetical chapter 3
