You can't change it so that it collides with an existing one. The idea of these systems is to prevent the problem of a user's desired name being "taken" without losing the whole point of usernames (unique ID.) So the combination of name + number has to be unique.

Unfortunately, there are many tricks to still have the username be unique while looking identical, like letters that are actually different characters but look like regular letters.
I appreciate the sentiment, but when you and the imposter are grappling in a life-and-death struggle and I have a gun and I don't know which one to shoot, how do you expect that to help me!

I count 72 separate homoglyph attacks on this particular username, so if you made 72 accounts you could set them all to the same number and control all combinations of that name & number.
It's unfortunate that discord allows homoglyphs, probably would be better to disable them.

well for example e and е are good homoglyphs. е is from the cyrillic character set but looks identical the the latin e. I'm not counting things like ｅ that look unnatural next to regular ANSI characters and won't fool anyone.

Username systems should really not allow them, even if they allow unicode. I haven't actually checked to see if discord allows collisions using them, it may just silently flatten them into the latin version.
