So today... · 1:07am Jun 25th, 2020
...I had minor surgery, which kept me nervous the last couple of days. I figured I'd be able to write a new chapter today and finish before midnight (on it!) but I'm a bit more spaced out than I anticipated, and I keep re-thinking what I'm writing, which is not a good thing.
I'm okay tho, so don't worry about me. I'm just saying I might not have it in me to finish the chapter by tonight, in which case, depending on how I do end up with the current chapter, I might or might not wait until next week to post it.
But! Not all is lost!
1) A Pony Named Nope has finally reached its conclusion, and it takes place at the Isekai! So you can go and read that story (or the ending if you have read the rest so far) and enjoy some inter-dimensional shenanigans with our favorite bartender making a couple of appearances (including the epilogue)!
2) Don't forget to get your pins! There's still a few, and while this whole surgery mess sort of slowed me down, I should have all prizes for shipping sorted out very soon!
Well, Surgery always makes folks nervous. But have a wonderful day.
Take care, WD!
I remember that I literally did not sleep the night before my surgery, that stuff is rough, I'll pray for your recovery.
Glad you're okay, Wandy.
No need to be rushing yourself to do anything anyways after a surgery, no matter how minor it may be.
I hope that they managed to put everything back in they took out. Well, unless it was a part they meant to remove.
I also hope that they didn’t leave anything extra in as a surprise for later.
Wow. :O Glad you're all right!
forget the pony words it is time to sleep and relax.
Feel better soon!
From personal experience: if they give you narcotic pills to take for the pain, you don't have to finish them all. It's not like antibiotics. After a few days you may want to talk to your doctor about seeing if you can manage your pain with over-the-counter pain pills, if you would feel comfortable trying. The doc will tell you what kinds to avoid (some promote bleeding) and what dosages would be safe. And if that doesn't work you still have the rest of the pills to fall back on.
If you think this sounds like I have a personal horror of opiods--you're right.
Get some rest, Wanderer. The chapter can wait.
glad to hear the surgery went well! :D
Good to hear you're doing well. Take care, D.
And, thanks for the shout-out
(for those interested in how these two stories interact, I wrote a timeline )
Food for thought:
In a surgery I had last year, I think the surgeons thought it would be nice not to catheterize me. My surgery was at 9AM, I hadn't drank a drop 12 hours prior, and I had pissed right before going into the OR.
At 9PM, I had regained sensitivity over my bladder, but had yet to regain voluntary control over the same. I could feel it, like a melon in my lower abdomen, and hurting worse than the handful of fractures I've had throughout my life. When they finally catheterized me, I almost filled the 2 litre bag. It hurt to piss for the following month, but it hurt worse to let my bladder get any full at all.
Yeah, surgery sucks. =(
As an aside, do we get confirmation if we've managed to get a pin or not? I sent a PM but didn't receive a reply and I'm a bit worried by the fact they seem to be nearly all gone already.
5293426 there are still plenty of pins around, don't worry.
Sorry for bugging you about the pins earlier. Did not realize that you had anything like this going on. So take you time, get better, and then let us know how those pins are looking. Stay healthy.
Glad you're doing okay.
Ah, glad the surgery went well!
I have to agree with harts fire. Take care of number 1 first, then worry about the story.
