I went to an anime con last weekend & cosplayed a character from a famous anime.
Do angled photos make me look like a 1960s Batman villain?
Not one person at the convention recognized the character. Do you? They called me "horse guy" all weekend.
But quite a few of them lost their shit when they were standing with their nose to the elevator door, and it opened with me standing right behind it. So it wasn't a total loss.
Wait, now I know who I want to cosplay at Bronycon: Stud Muffins.

5052004 Yes! And, no, not a robot, but a cyborg, or maybe just covered in armour. He (she?) falls off a cliff in Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust, and you can briefly see his internal organs when he hits the bottom and explodes.
So D has 2 horses in that movie. I found it interesting, comparing still frames of them, that the first horse has a lot of personality or emotional expression (more than D does!), while the second has none:
