Dear Princess Cell in a Hell,
For some unknown reason, it took my genius ass until now to realize professional wrestling isn’t real.
People have been paying money for a lie. This can’t be allowed to continue. There should be a disclaimer on every advertisement, every ticket, and every piece of merchandise. The people have a right to know. Never mind the fact that they’re all fully aware already, I’m more concerned with making everything more boring and transparent for my own sake. I can’t waste precious brain cells thinking about what I’m seeing, I need to be explicitly told when things are exaggerated for entertainment purposes, otherwise I might get sucked into the magic of the moment and start enjoying myself.

Oh I remember when I , by mistake , made my best bud learn that Pro Wrestling wasn't real because I thought it was common knowledge and I brought it up casually in a conversation . Guy was so broken by the news he refused to talk to me for a WHOLE WEEK XD . But we still are best friends tho .
Just because Professional Wrestling is staged doesn't mean it's not real.

Honestly, I am really sick of people saying wrestling is "Real" I mean, sure, Storylines and all that is staged, and fiction, but the wrestlers are real athletes, injuring themselves for our amusement, so, wrestling is as real as it can get.
It's arguably more impressive that it's staged. Think about it. They're all actors who do their own stunts! Every pro wrestler is a double threat at minimum.
Wait, if wrestling is fake, is sex also fake? Sine sex is just lewd wrestling than it has to be fake as well.

I think there is a story about an American wrestler having his ass handed over by his Mexican counterpart, but I can't be bothered to remember when I heard such.
I think it's a bit demeaning to say wrestling is fake. Don't get me wrong, it's definitely staged but I wouldn't use the term fake. It's like calling Hamilton or Avenue Q fake, it's not faking its acting. Using the word fake just makes it sound malicious.
In my honest opinion it is real and fake at the same time.
The story is fake.
The actual matches are real.
The story changes depending on the match.
If wrestler 1 wins, we get story A.
If wrestler 2 wins, we get story B.

I don't believe you. If your friend watched wrestling actively and didn't know it was fake, either it was the seventies and Kayfabe was still strong, or your friend was an absolute idiot beyond measure. The last twenty+ years of wrestling have been extremely open about wrestling being fake. They call it sports entertainment, and fans explicitely complain about the scripting of matches and story arcs.
I get the impression that too many people put too much thought into the idea that wrestlers are, in essence, actors putting on a show. It's a performance, yes, but unless the fight is fixed (not rigged, but thoroughly fixed in that both combatants in any given fight are in on some kind of conspiracy where one is going to lose and they know it), the part that people pay money to see is entirely real. Honestly having a narrative woven around the fight ought to enrich the experience, since it takes the fight beyond what would otherwise be just another combat sport.

And since we both are French , it's way less developed here , meaning things like that are not common knowledge (something that I often forget , like a lot of other things English/American since I am bilingual).
