Dawn Leaper

Did you know that humans are approximately 70% water... so, we're basically just cucumbers with more anxiety <3

This story is a sequel to Legacies

The fire and darkness and thunder seemed to whisper it will always get you, in the end, no matter how fast you fly, how strong you are- the storm is faster, the storm is stronger.

Dawn breathed back, caught in a strange moment cocooned from time, lit but the aureate glow of the fire-seized poles. "I am the storm."

Dawn Leaper has been terrified of thunder storms her whole life.

But now, it's finally time to confront her fear, in what could be a matter of life and death.

(Rated Teen for swearing.)

Life has its ups and downs. There will be good times, and bad times, successes and failures, obstacles and problems that needed solving. This collection of short stories follows the lives of three siblings, Prism Dart, Sun Sweeper and Dawn Leaper, as they navigate this strange, wonderful, hectic place called the life.

Or, in which Prism's the oldest and boldest, Sunny is your typical middle child- ie. self-proclaimedly 'mentally superior', and then there's Dawn, the most sane of them all.

A non-chronological account of Soarin and Dash's children as they grow up and learn the workings of the world. Not in any particular order, will sometimes focus of valuable life lessons, others will just be for fun, or completely pointless. And of course soarindash will make a cameo!

Rated teen for casual profanity.

PS: I drew the cover art myself, so that's why there isn't a link to the source!

Rarity had always assumed she would be the first to get married. Not in an egoistic way... just that, since she knew the most about stallions and flirting and... whatnot...

Who was she kidding. Everyone had their special somepony, everyone had someone to confide in, to trust, to love. Everyone- except her.

And she was so tired of exposing her heart to those who would smash it into a million pieces without giving a second thought. So goddamn tired of wondering if there was something wrong with her, if she was too intimidating or pushy or unlikeable.

And- and was it really so selfish to wonder when it would be her turn?

Rated T for some light swearing.

Twilight Sparkle had always regarded immortality as both a blessing and a curse. It was like chains of gold, gilded shackles. Seemingly enticing, but in reality, a grasp of which you cannot break free. Twilight missed her children. She missed her husband.

She missed her friends.

There were pictures of them, of course, countless photos and historical paintings and memorials and glass windows. A picture can speak a thousand words, but a memory priceless. She cherished their memories.

Sometimes she felt often like a star in the night sky. A soft, glowing glimmer of fiery aura burning valiantly against the unknown abyss above, a constant guiding light, leading her people through the darkness.

Bright, and lonely, in the way that only things that lived forever were.

'Unable are the loved to die, for love is immortality.' - Emily Dickinson

Nobody ever told Soarin that grief felt so much like fear.

Some leave our lives as quickly as they entered. Some were with us right from the dawning of our existence. Some leave footprints all over our heart, and change us for the better.

But some insinuate themselves into the very centre of our hearts, become our whole life, alter the very nature of our souls, and we are never, ever the same again.

They had been together for so long, the prospect of losing her had never really crossed his mind. He couldn't imagine a world without her, it was simply... unfathomable.

But he knew he couldn't stop it from happening.

And he hated that.

A thousand years is a long time to be alone in the darkness. But it wasn't the darkness that hurt Luna, no, the darkness was part of her. What hurt her was the fact that the pony whom she loved more than anyone else in the entire world... was the very one who banished her.

Darkness isn't an entity.

Darkness is merely an absence of light.

And if Celestia is the light, what does that make Luna?

Sometimes, you just need a little quiet. Soarin needed to think. He had already decided what he was going to do, heck, he had known it since the day he met her. It was so peaceful in the sky. No disturbances. Just endless, cool silence. He knew what he had to do.

Because he loved her.

Because he was never going to let her go.

Because if the sky was burning and the light was fading and the world was falling down, she would be the only thing on his mind.

And god be damned if he was about to let her go.
