A trip, relaxing, was all that was planned,
Though once she awoke, she knew naught of the land,
Cold stone and darkness, and when she was lost,
To rescue her, what was the cost?

Tiger (H) is a very sad tank. Mediocre armor, a low-damage gun, and somewhat prone to fires, he is sick of the endless noobs who think he is an unstoppable killing machine from all of those History Channel episodes of World War II and then blame the tank for not owning everything.

He needs a vacation from the World of Tanks.

Preferably somewhere without a cap circle and spawn locations. Maybe a city not ravaged by war. But when an insane light tank decides to "help" Tiger, he ends up in a world much unlike his own, in a body he is also unfamiliar with.

He has no idea where here is, nor does he know a way to return.

Oh well. At least he doesn't have to worry about gas.

The key to power isn't immortality, nor is it strength. It is the simple spear and the will of the soldiers that wield it. Power to force peace, and war. Power to save, and kill. The standard-issue spear of the Royal, Lunar, and Solar guards are identical, and have been identical for hundreds of years, differing slightly only in style. They were passed down from their father, and his father, and his before him. Each has a story, and the oldest have a particularly interesting tale to tell...

A thousand years ago, we fought them with sharpened sticks. As you might've predicted, we lost. No, we didn't even put a dent in their numbers. But if there's one thing we humans were always good at, it's living in caves. No pony in their right mind would ever enter a cave. Too small, too dark, too dangerous.

But to us, it was a sanctuary.

Oh how we wished for a glorious final battle where our very species would be ingrained in myth, to be spoken of as mighty warriors that would rather face death than dishonor. Unfortunately, we faded away with barely an afterthought. The princesses returned to their thrones, and the ponies to their homes. Only the oldest of texts hints to our existence. Only the oldest of dragons have drawn human blood. Only a few beings clearly remember our faces.

Let us embrace the sunlight. Let us sleep under the moon. Let us smell the fresh scent of a spring forest. It is time my brother. Whether by eagle or by dove, we will return.

Let us march. The overworld is calling.

-The Key to Power.

The events recorded here are small snippets, from journals, transcripts, interviews, etc... All focusing on the history of humans. My name is Prof. R█████████ H██████, and we will be going on a little journey down memory lane.
They're a curious race, one filled with violence and love, honesty and greed. They're a chaotic species that managed to live in harmony. My personal journey started here, in the archives of the Manehattan University. I only have snippets, so if something appears in the middle, it's there because I organize my information in chronological order.

Are you ready?

Good. Let's go.

Nopony trusts anypony anymore.

One month ago, if Mayberry wanted to get a job, she would've gotten it within half an hour.

One month ago, if Mayberry wanted to leave, she would've simply waltzed out.

One month ago, if Mayberry wanted to have a quick chat in the streets, a friendly smile would answer her.

It is a normal day in Canterlot, but at the same time it isn't.

Adventure

Whether they fight battles of legend or quietly manipulate the world, there will always be adventure.

Whether their motivation be justice or greed, there will always be adventure.

Whether they end with a glorious victory or the most painful tragedy, there will always be adventure.

What you will read here is a collection of events. Each will be a part of a journey. None of the characters will ever meet. Not all of the adventures will be similar, some will take place in different worlds entirely. In fact, I cannot guarantee that the stories you read will even start at the beginning!

But once you do read, it is up to you to expand that adventure.

Be sure to bring some imagination.

You'll need it.

Wrapping up winter after an unusual month long blizzard is nothing less than a time consuming and laborious affair. But with a certain unicorn organizing, things are going well. That is, until a discovery shocks the entire town. A pale white cybernetic pegasus with golden wings frozen solid in the snow.

Neighbors are unsure, Twilight can't find any trace of her in the archives, not even Celestia has any clue as to the mysterious mare's identity. At least, no concrete evidence. But to the solar princess, she seems oddly familiar...

Paradise.

What does the word mean to you? A place with no hardships? Eden, Shangri-La? Equestria?

For years, people and pony alike dreamed of a crisp, pristine world in which they could live without the radioactive rain, the grey and brown washed out landscape, and the skeletons of a life long gone. But that was all they were. Dreams. Myths. Bedtime story promises to children that they would wake to a world of enchantment and wonder.

Ten years ago, an unicorn fiddled around with an unknown prewar experimental device. What happened next, no one knew. Some claimed she drank too much. Other say she hit her head. She herself says the land of harmony has been found. For the next few years, the unicorn went mad trying to find the promised land again.

She disappeared long ago. And Equestria was once more a story. But when the world turns and a new age dawns, the journey home may take a thousand steps, but nowhere does it say that you must step alone...

Losing a one-sided fight, Equestria has been invaded by their long time enemies, in hopes of breaking open the oyster to harvest the pearl within. The Elements are useless against an army. The Royal Guard are inferior in both numbers and equipment.

As a desperate last move, the princesses ask for help from a general who definitely has the power to turn the tide of this war. Thinking that this was all just a prank, he sends "help" in the form of wrecked enemy vehicles and a single construction dozer that got mixed in.

I was once a researcher's assistant on some big space research vessel. I admit, I made some mistakes, but my uptight bastard of a boss decided to promote me to Field Researcher. My first, and obviously last mission, was to indefinitely observe a newly discovered race just so I could be off his ship. Stuff like daily logs, observation for hours on end, all without contact.

And in the background, there's a war going on. That's actually why I accepted the job. It was either observation, or conscription.

Don't you just love my options?
