Speed Racer is eager to get back to The School of Friendship after the winter holidays. It doesn't take him long to notice something is different with his friend Pistachio. The story of what actually happened does drag on however.

It seems the kirin village is more empty than usual, but none of them are talking about it. In fact, none of them are talking at all, save for one. Autumn Blaze has always felt the outsider for refusing to silence herself, but perhaps she can bring some life to this dreary and lonely day?

It doesn't take long for her to figure out that the problem goes much deeper than just a few kirins keeping quiet though.

After a long day of busting flanks at the Wonderbolt Academy, Captain Spitfire is looking forward to a nice calm evening of domestic bliss. A home cooked meal, an attentive girlfriend and their son having finished his homework, she finds none of those things but life is pretty good anyway.

This was my entry in the L contest of the Quills and Sofas' Pride Month series of speedwrites.

So some of the stories I have posted are the results of a speedwriting group I am in. However some of them are just not up to snuff that I feel them worth publishing in their own right. Sometimes they are too short, sometimes the ending is abrupt, sometimes they just require more expansion than I feel like giving them. I decided to post them here for now, I probably won't expand the majority of them, but occasionally you might see one of these drafts make it to a full story.

It started out as just another day at work for Babs Seed, mane stylist, when a very special customer walked through the door. While she suspected that this chance encounter could change her life, she was not prepared for just how much. Not only was the DJ incredibly rich, famous and more than a little eccentric, she also had some very strange demands.

Could Babs give a manecut without having to remove the customer's trademark headphones? Only one way to find out.

Tender Taps is living his dream. He's moved to Manehattan, gets to dance for a living and even managed to get a position in the cast of a Bridle-Way musical.

As he is getting ready to go on stage he catches the attention of a certain mare with connections to his past and maybe future.

During a school break, Rainbow Dash is out stretching her wings and enjoying herself. She fights imaginary monsters and reflects on what being a hero is like, she definitely want to be one when she grows up.

Fantasy meets reality however, as Rainbow comes across a group of bullies harassing another student. What will she do when faced with the choice of doing what she's been told is right, and what feels right?

An ageing mare with little left to live for enters a shop in search of a new dress. Little does she know she will be leaving without her soul.

This was my entry into the Spooktober contest ran by Nailah. I know it's a bit late for the month of spooky stories, but as they say: Good guys finish last minute... or am I getting my proverbs mixed up?

Cherry Berry is not going through a midlife crisis. She just feels that it might be time to change something in her life. The mare has always had a great love for travelling, and with a whole new nation opening up she is filled by a need to see it. Unfortunately her beloved hot air balloon won't make such a trip.
Still, trains can't be that bad right, not when so many ponies are using them.

If there's two things Rainbow Dash loves it's flying and her marefriend Applejack. Said marefriend has therefore come up with a way to combine the two. Hopefully it will turn out to be the perfect date, and if not, well they are two ponies who can handle themselves.
