Though the battle was not long, that didn't mean that Celestia didn't still feel the wounds of her sister's betrayal. But as she walked from the ruins of the castle, fires spread from the torches knocked over and magic that had been expended, thoughts came to her about what happened that night. And her doubt started to shift inside her wondering if her sister was truly to blame...

Trixie has had a hard time living in Ponyville. She's tried her best to fit in, even getting a job at Bon Bon's sweet shop. However it hasn't been easy for the mare, but she has worked hard. But working hard to get ponies to like you is tiring, and in the end Trixie is still feeling lonely. So with Lyra Heartstrings moving out of Bon Bon's house, Trixie thinks that now would be the time to ask her crush and boss out for a date. If only working past the anxiety of simply asking the mare out so soon after Lyra's move out would go away.

Sticks and Stones may Break my Bones, but words may marry me? A careless promise by Celestia when she was teaching Twilight when the young princess was still a filly comes back to haunt her. Twilight has proposed marriage to her, and she can't outright refuse because of an ancient law that says royalty has the right to marry whomever they chose without question. Since Celestia is not above the law herself she has to come up with a solution, and she thinks she's found just that. Twilight has never been able to resist the Scientific process, so why not appeal to her sense of science? But having Twilight date other ponies in a social scientific experiment has not exempt Celestia, as there still needs to be a control group, which winds up being Celestia herself. Has she found the perfect way to get Twilight to see that there's somepony better suited for her than the Sun Princess? Or is Celestia really her one true love?

Celestia, princess of Equestria. She is the Diarch of the Sun, beloved by all especially her student Twilight Sparkle. However few know about Celestia's past. Even her faithful student knows little to nothing about her parents. Only two others really know about who Celestia was before. Her sister and the recently reformed Discord know, though the secrets are all contained within her private diaries.

Now Discord has decided to visit Celestia, having a small chat that only brings up bitter memories and old pains. For there is a secret that Celestia has kept for as long as she's been in Equestria. Something that she has tried to forget, but only managed to keep putting in the back of her mind. Now with the secret once again at the forefronts of her thoughts Celestia has to make a decision. Does she keep hiding the secret, or does she come clean with Equestria?

Memories, what is a memory? Is it merely the electrical sparks that happen in our brain to pull up a certain chain of thoughts that paint a picture of a past that may or may not have happened? Is it something that is irrefutable, will always be right at all times and if you recall it then it happened some how some way? Or is it something beyond that? When someone passes, do they move on, or are our memories all that remain of them? Or, perhaps, do they exist only within their own memories?

What does it mean to be alive? And does life mean something? What if that life is brief? Artificial? Does life mean more to the pony who lives it? Or to the lives touched by the pony? The Pony may not know why it is alive? But it does know that it wants to keep living, and it wants to be happy. And in the end, isn't that what we all just want? Just happiness and... peace?

A particular pony wakes to find herself in a strange metal enviorment. Cold, scared, she starts to try and figure out what's going on. Over time, she calms down, and learns the terrible truth.

A story written for the WTG, characters intentionally left off to keep an air of mystery.

Trixie returns to her home town of Hoofington at request of her brother. Her journey through town back towards her old home sparks memories of a time long past.
