Unusual Circumstances

Welp, here I am, somehow stuck in Equestria and living with Fluttershy. I thought it was just going to be a normal day, but Fate said "NOPE" and sucked me here. Pretty nice either way, considering the world I came from really wasn't cooperating with everybody else. By and by, I might as well follow the format as the other stories here and say how the hell I got here and how I'm in this current situation.

Why is it that Earth is presented in such an incredibly dim light in all these HIE's? If it was like people say, we'd be in the middle of a neverending WWIII and you'd have a 50% chance of getting shot the minute you walk out your door. >.<
