this story takes place 1000 years before episode 1 of MLP:FIM
Nomad has always been lucky. Him and his friend Night Walker have always pulled through victorious...
At the age of 8, Nomad Awoke in an alley with no memory. Growing up as an orphan, he had dreamt of sailing across Equestria aboard an Airship. Living his dream aboard the Signora Fortuna, him, his friend, and an experienced Zebra will Face Adventure, Danger, And Impossible Odds... Will they brave the Night Eternal, and live to tell the tale?

Anyways I thought that you could've provided more description.
For instance describe the interior of the ship the feeling of wind as the ship glided through the air or tell us how worried they felt when confronted by the captain. For instance:" shadow's heart was pumping so hard that he wondered if it could be heared by the captain"

unfortunately, my laptop charger broke, so i may not be able to update for a while (WHICH SUCKS SEEING AS HOW THE FIRST CHAPTER WAS CRAP), i was hoping to take what i learned from comments (along with the fact that i didnt have a plot for this story till it suddenly came to me while posting the first chapter (because i had to write the description), i thought i could finally get somewhere). but alas fate doth have other ideals in store for me... sorry.
... though i get the feeling that it doesnt really matter this early in the game. so i apologize and ask that anyone interested bare(is that the correct 'bare'?) with me, and thank you for reading.

yes, i find the idea of airships meets ponies very intriguing! i love your take on pinkie and rarity by the way.
any ways, i had been wracking my brain for something to give me a start on my story when i found your story. it gave me the foundation on what to write! (the NMM plotline just kind of popped in my head while i was trying to figure out the description of my story). thanks for the fave!
