Call it late teens (16+), since AB is in college, Scoots is in Cadets (Army cadets you can join from the age of 12), rather than the main force, and it's not unheard of to have child stars.
I'll be honest, I didn't put much thought into ages
. I was thinking more along the lines of 'stages of their lives'.
It's not a bad idea, but to be frank, you really don't do much of anything with it. The letters sound genuine, but they all say the same thing ("Haven't seen you in a while, thanks for everything, I got my Cutie Mark, bye!"), which makes for repetitive reading. You hint at the lives and achievements of the characters, but leave them almost entirely unexplored.

Ah, thank you for the feedback.
Yeah, it was a bit repetitive, but I wasn't really sure how to make them different (though in hindsight, the letters to Dash and the other two Crusaders could have been vastly different, given the nature of how they helped Scoots).
Chances are, I'll probably do a second draft of these too, to see if I can improve them.
