SCP-6

Object Class: Keter

Containment Procedures: unlike all other items in containment, SCP-6 is kept by the Foundation for its own protection. The entrance to SCP-6 is to be kept under guard at all times. The guards are not to be armed with lethal weapons. They are to be disguised as park rangers, and must have knowledge of all paths leading out of SCP-6 containment area. All paths leading to SCP-6 are to be kept blockaded off, and marked with signs indicating severe cave-in.

In the event of a Discord Event, Object is to be temporarily classed Keter until containment of SCP-6-04 is reestablished. Consultation with SCP-6-01 and SCP-6-02 is highly recommended. Only known method of containing SCP-6-04 is to transform it into a stone statue, using ambient energies of SCP-6. Guards at entrance to SCP-6 are to activate warning system placed within SCP-6. Should any alarms activate, Guards are to immediately set off dynamite placed to create a cave in burying the entrance to SCP-6.

Addendum: To test whether Earth is ready for the decommissioning of SCP-6, carefully controlled information is to be released in the form of a children's cartoon, and public reactions gauged. See Containment Log for further information on this procedure.

Object Description: SCP-6 is an alternate universe accessed through a cave in the [DATA EXPUNGED] park. SCP-6 is populated primarily by what are apparently fully sophont quadrupeds. These quadrupeds bear a passing resemblance to the ponies on earth, though they, and their entire universe have many cartoon-like qualities. The coats and manes of these “ponies” often express pigmentation not possible in terrestrial equines. There is rarely any correlation between the markings of parent and child, or between siblings. There seem to be three primary varieties of these so-called equestrians (With the exception of SCP-6-01 through -04:

1)Earth Ponies-these bear the most resemblance to our planet's horses, and have few, if any, abilities defying the laws of physics in our universe. There is some evidence, however, that they may be composed of dark matter or some other super-dense composite.
2) Pegasus Ponies- these bear a startling resemblance to the mythical Pegasus of our world, though it should be noted that their wings are strangely truncated, and it seems highly illogical that they are able to fly. Pegasus ponies also have the ability to walk on clouds, though this is not shared by any other ponies.
3) Unicorn Ponies- resemble the mythical unicorn, and have the ability to effect many psychokinetic changes in their environment, including but not limited to: levitation, teleportation, and fundamental transmutation of both living and inanimate matter.

There are many other species also present in this universe, though only perhaps 50% of these appear sophont. Most bear a distinct resemblance to mythical earth creatures, such as dragons, phoenix, and griffin, or are apparently puns on the names of actual earth animals, such as timberwolves entirely composed of wood.

Ponies are the only beings of this universe to have progressed past the hunter-gatherer stage of civilization, and have built a vibrant and peaceful culture around their various talents, music, and what they call "friendship magic". They believe that all ponies are born with a calling in life, a theory verified to an extent by the mysterious phenomenon of “cutie marks”: small and sometimes quite detailed pictograms on the flanks of all adult ponies. This pictogram always in some way represents the “special talent” of the pony bearing it, though occasionally this is in a highly abstract manner. Many ponies have shown a tendency to project the idea of “special talents” onto all researchers.

Due to the extreme power demonstrated by SCP-6-01 through -04, it is thought that uncontrolled contact between the Equestrian universe and ours could cause a CK-, LK-, SK, or XK- class end of the world scenario for either or both universes. All researchers involved with SCP-6 have insisted that this universe be kept as pure and peaceful as is possible, and that its denizens must be protected.

SCP-6-01 is potentially the most powerful being in the SCP-6 universe, with the possible exception of SCP-6-04. It is an apparently female “alicorn” of stature similar to a horse on earth with a pure white coat. Her wings and horn are considerably larger in proportion to her body than those of the more mundane unicorn and pegasus ponies. Her mane and tail are composed of a shimmering amorphous form of matter of indeterminate properties, and are striped in pink, green, and blue. She has a “cutie mark” depicting a stylized sun. She is known to the ponies of Equestria as the goddess of the sun, and ruler of the day. Most citizens of this universe believe that she raises and lowers the sun each day. Researchers have been unable to confirm or deny this. SCP-6-01 has expressed a desire to be addressed as “Princess Celestia”
SCP-6-02 is the younger sister of SCP-6-01. She is also an alicorn, of similar proportions, though slightly smaller stature than SCP-6-01. She is dark blue in color, with a mane and tail composed of the same mysterious material as those of SCP-6-01. Both have refused to allow researchers to study the properties of their manes and tails. She has a cutie mark depicting a white crescent moon set in a large ink-like spot covering most of her hindquarters. This is said to represent her work raising and lowering the moon and crafting the stars each night. It is also said that she spent 1000 years imprisoned on the moon of Equestria. SCP-6-02 has asked to be called Princess Luna.
SCP-6-03 is the third known alicorn. She is pale pink with a mane and tail striped pink, purple, and yellow. Her mane and tail are not composed of the amorphous matter, and share the same properties observed in all other manes in Equestria. Her wings are tipped in a pale purple. She has a cutie mark depicting an embellished and stylized heart. She has demonstrated a peculiar power over the emotions of other ponies, seemingly able to resolve their arguments or make them fall in love at will. Research is pending on the exact nature of her power. She has been referred to formally as “Princess Mi Amore Cadenza”, though she claims to prefer simply “Cadence”.
SCP-6-04 is a bizarre chimera-like entity known as a “draconequis”. It is mostly brown in color, with a distorted horse’s head and mismatched horns and limbs and a long serpent like body and tail much like the Oriental dragon of Earth legends. There has only been one confirmed occurrence of SCP-6-04. This was accompanied by highly disturbing warping of the fabric of the SCP-6 universe. The entity is normally kept in containment by the ponies of Equestria in the form of a statue kept in the palace gardens. SCP-6-04 willingly answers to the names “Discord”, “SCP-6-04”, “God of Chaos”, “Q”, and “Hey, you!”.

This is rather interesting, I am a member of the SCP Foundation and was thinking of writing a ponified SCP entry.

very clever! I seek out more SCP entries :yay:

First off, SCP designation numbers are in trios or quads. I'm going to ignore that SCP-006 already has a designated item, but it should be that: SCP-006, not SCP-6.

This should be Safe class, not Keter class. The door to Equestria had no measurable means of harming Earth and neither do the ponies within. Granted, there are monsters, so you might be able to stretch a Euclid class, but not Keter.

Be flowery with your containment procedures. Create an air of allure and mystique. There is no sense that the Foundation truly considers the gateway a threat to society. Take every conceivable measure to protect it. What would they do if someone did discover it? What kind of signs do they use? Why only signs? How many guards?

Remember, the Foundation is nearly robotic in its methods. They are cold and efficient, analyzing all they see with clockwork efficiency. You're just stating exposition here, not actually telling a story. Look up SCP-507; he's a dimension hopper and he might give you some clues on how to blend these two mythos together.

Gah, Keter is not for "What this object is capable of", it is for the difficulty of containing it. A button that detonates the planet if pushed, but is in every other respect ordinary, is considered "Safe".

Merely being inimical to human life is not in itself cause for classification as a Keter-level object. A Keter classification indicates that not only is this subject capable of inflicting devastating harm to human life and civilization, but that containment protocols must be extensive, involved, and precisely followed in order to prevent it from doing so.

Basically, not only does it have massive power, but it will use that if anyone screws up anything even once, ever. And sometimes not even if there's a screw up(SCP-106 can't be completely stopped from escaping, but its "cage" does delay its escape by a huge margin, and they have a procedure for luring it back in). Not exactly a level of danger that has ever existed in the MLP universe.

Also, even if Celestia, Luna, Cadence, and Discord were running around in the Foundation world, that isn't cause for more concern than normal, especially considering the fact that reality warpers on Discords level more than just already exist, there is more than one of them running around.

I am impressed! This is a very creative story, and it seems almost like it should be on the regular SCP page. Anyways, continue writing, MOAR :flutterrage:!

Shouldn't the door be the SCP? Both can be I think but primarily this should be about the door and how they secure it in an almost robotic explanation. Are the guards dressed as civilians or park cleaners?

You also mentioned that it's shown as a tv show but you never explained how they got to that. Did the foundation and the princesses have some sort of agreement? Or are there invisible
camera men following them everywhere
they go?

Also this isn't Keter classed. it's more
Safe/Euclid if anything but definitely not Keter, unless the ponies were a warrior nation of xenophobic eldritch abominations and the door leading to their land was always open and unable to be shut. Only then can it be Keter. It's about how dangerous AND hard it is to contain.

Some minor nitpicks, namely the numbering and classification of "keter".

The numbering system for the SCP objects is done in either three or four numbers. So really this should be SCP-006. However, that one already exists as "The Fountain of Youth". Your best bet is to choose a number in the 1000 range, preferably under the "access denied". Or failing that, there's already an SCP number for a formerly winged horse under SCP-042. You could always link it to that saying that SCP-042 is one of these creatures that found it's way to Earth.

Secondly, it's not really a keter class object. Keter class is for those objects that while potentially dangerous, there's no real way of making sure it's 100% contained. Just like "safe" doesn't mean it can't kill you, but it's safely contained and in some cases can be used under the proper guidelines and supervision. At best, I'd say the portal should be classified as "Euclid".

As an SCP member with a successful article under my belt, I must uphold our glorious traditions.

and that it’s denizens must be protected.

It's/it's mixup. INSTANT DOWNBOAT.
Lots of other iffy stuff too, as pointed out by the other guys.

1627578 On this site or on The Foundations site?

1817474

of course on the foundation site!

1628282

what article did you write? I would love to see it

Awww, didn't you write any more? This is brilliant

SCP-6-04 willingly answers to the names “Discord”, “SCP-6-04”, “God of Chaos”, “Q”, and “Hey, you!”.
BWAHAHAHAHA!!!!!:rainbowlaugh:

Acording to the wiki, Keter stands for hard to contain and MUST BE DISTROYED

So...
Who's writing the adeniums???

Do the contamint log this is good keep it up :pinkiehappy:

"All researchers involved with SCP-6 have insisted that this universe be kept as pure and peaceful as is possible, and that its denizens must be protected."
The SCP is obviously affecting the opinions of the researchers working on it.
All researchers must be reassigned.

4429980

Reassignment denied by order of O5 command. Return to your station and continue observation and protection.

7660766
“There he is! An O-5 impersonation! Termination approved!”

Wait, what "Q"?
