Prince Polaris Blueblood is an old stallion, but he hardly looks the part, at worst he can be described as 'stately' which hardly counts as an insult. Still he feels the wear, he feels the deaths of his friends and family, he feels the trauma that crashes is his skull. He decides to write it all down, his sins, his triumphs, his life, and his first death. He will have his ponies read it, and he will watch as they forget it over the centuries, he will watch as they forget all that was in favor of fantasizing of what will be.

TLDR: Alicorn Blueblood Writes a Memoir About His Life, It Sucks Hard, Like Just the Worst. Everyone is a Worse Version of Their Canon Selves.

I haven't read this yet as I am more amazed that someone is writing about Prince Blueblood of all ponies in this day and age. He really is one of those forgotten characters that you never see around here anymore.

Wow, Blueblood is really losing his mind...

Could you link the two inspirations please?

This was done in two hours?

It does not feel done in two hours. It feels like something that took way longer. You're off to an amazing start there. In a weird sense, I'm reminded of Ranking of Kings, with how the middle brother of three demigods inherited a brilliant mind and good looks but all flashy supernatural powers went to his older and younger sibling. Blueblood comes across this way as well, like he got arrested aging from his Alicorn lineage but little else. And oh dear, from the sounds of it, he's one of only two who actually do have it alongside his sister, Cadance...

I'm definitely following to see where this goes. Celestia and Luna are dead then, it seems? Blueblood blames it on the weight of their lies and their own guilt, but we'll see if that holds up or is him projecting his own problems onto them.

Well, lost his mind, its back now, mostly.

Great start, already placing us at the end of a very long very tiered life. Set in a pretty intense world I want to read more about.

Giving Blueblood some love is great, he’s always the perfect figure to experience things far more cynically then the wider cast.

Ooooh I’m liking his rambling, it really does feel like he’s writing down everything that comes to mind as it does. I’m really curious as to what actually did in Celestia and Luna, and what could have caused the rift between Blueblood and Cadence. Great work!
