Meloetta's Moonlight Serenade

On clear starry nights when the moon is full and the air still, in the middle of the peaceful tranquility of the night, whenever you're along the coast or along a mountainside and no matter where you are in the world, you can hear the sounds of faraway ships, birds cawing and chirping, and distant laughter unmuffled by the non-present mountain and ocean winds. The laughter and the occasional singing echo over the hills and into the valleys, down calm canals, and across sleepy villages and inlets.

On one particular night, a full moon is shining brightly down upon a vast, luscious, and thriving forest with a large mountain that had a rock in the shape of the Meteorite Pokemon: Lunatone, called Lunatone Rock where a very special event among Pokemon was about to take place.

This is Pokemon Forest where many, many Pokemon live peacefully and happily

Moving closer to Lunatone Rock, we find several rock platforms (some with holes on them) scattered in front of the mountain, and standing amongst them were Sarah, her adoptive and blood families, Race, Asha, the Riders of Berk with their Pokemon and dragons, and all of the young couple's Pokemon, dragons, and mythicals. In particular, Sarah, her two families, Race, Sirius, Donna (Blitz's mother), Soro, Roxie, Axew, Blitz, Curly, Bella, Robbie, Ziracon, Proud, and Tyranitar were all either standing on or sitting in the front row closest to Lunatone Rock with her Pokemon's individual families also standing with certain Pokemon of hers on the other platforms.

But, they weren't the only ones here for the special event known only to Pokemon; joining them on a different platform were the Mane 5, their Pokemon, and Edge Blade along with the Fillies Three, Petunia, and Sparky (the two Equestrian baby dragons and the fillies babbling happily at the moonlight for they had never been able to stay up late into the night due to their young age, even if Edge, Sarah, and Hitch decided to make an exception given the occasion).

As far as we can tell, all of them are waiting anxiously with the wild Pokemon from Pokemon Forest that have also gathered for the event they had all been waiting for (all of which had occupied the other platforms and sat with Sarah and Race's family members so they can all have a taste of what was to come). Even Meowth and Wobbuffet came over as they crawled atop a Crustle and grinned eagerly at what was about to happen later on.

Oh! I wonder what Sarah and her entire family are up to now with the addition of her friends from Equestria?

"Phew! Made it, just in time!"

"Affirmative! So, lay it on me, man, when's the big event gonna start?"

"Won't be long now! I can't wait!" the Team Rocket Pokemon pair bantered happily.

It looks like everybody including Meowth and Wobbuffet is waiting for something.

Everybody then stared up at the full moon, seeing it exploded in a bright, blinding, pure white light that shimmered down and enveloped the entire area in a beautiful lunar moonlight glow.

"Wow! I can hardly wait!"

"This is it, it's finally happening!"

"I'm so excited!"

"This is gonna be great!" Toothless, Dratini, Roxie, and Blitz grinned excitedly as a series of shimmering sparkles appeared.

"Oh, joy!" Meowth added as he gained hearts for eyes and a pink stripe came across his face, signaling that he's blushing.

"This is the most amount of sparkles I've seen! Whoever has this much magic has a lot of buzz going on here!" grinned Izzy, unable to control herself and reign in her excitement.

The answer to everyone's excitement soon made itself clear as a small Pokemon circled the moon a few times before floating down to the audience below; the female Pokemon had musical bar-like streaks in her spring-green hair, quarter notes (crotchets) for arms and hands, pupil-less eyes that resembled whole notes, and a jewel on her forehead and a black headpiece shaped like a trebel clef that also doubled as an attached headpiece microphone.

It's the Melody Pokemon: Meloetta!

Right now, the Melody Pokemon is in her Aria Form as she floated past a blushing and lovestruck Meowth who followed her cute gaze with his eyes still in the shape of hearts (essentially going through a repeat of his crush with Gureisha, Rifia, Fleur, and Willow) as he gushed breathlessly, "It's her, the lovely Meloetta......"

"The best singer in the world!" Wobbuffet grinned brightly.

"Once a year, whenever the full moon shines down on Lunatone Rock, you can hear Meloetta singing her beautiful aria loud and clear....."

As Meowth continued to gush over her, Meloetta then flew around Sarah, her family, and her friends who all smiled at the Mythical Pokemon (the little Psychic Type feeling overjoyed to have the Alolan Royal Family over for her concert along with a few more exotic guests who are also in the know about Pokemon).

Mew was enjoying it most of all as she twirled around with overwhelming joy and squeaked excitedly, "This concert featuring Ms. Meloetta is going to be fun, fun, fun! WHEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!"

"One word that can make this moment with Meloetta all the more enjoyable: Gorgeous~!" Pipp grinned, already having her cell phone out and taking pictures of the area around the group and of Meloetta whenever she passed by along with the reactions of the wild Pokemon that are enthralled by her arrival and beauty.

Then, when she was ready and she saw that everybody was comfortable on their platforms, she flew over to the largest rock platform which had glowing crystals in the background which was a deep shade of violet that gave it the appearance of a beautifully set-up theatre stage and she floated down graciously like a prima ballerina and faced her gathered audience.

"Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls of all shapes, sizes, ages! I thank each of you for coming to Lunatone Rock, for tonight, I am proud to welcome you all here for my concert...….. The Moonlight Serenade!" Meloetta announced thankfully.

She then tapped the center of the stage and used her musical powers to create a tree made from musical barlines in a faint shaded mix of spring and lime green.

From three of the small branches, there came three green circular berries and from their right, two more soon sprouted as Meloetta then circled her tree as she left a trail of pink sparkles while twirling around and using her magic again to create five more berries from them: one of them being pink, a second yellow, a third purple, a fourth blue, and a fifth red.

Look, it's the Melody Tree! And, it sprouted what are called Melody Berries; their power is said to make Meloetta's song for her Moonlight Serenade tonight all the more exciting!

"Stuni-i-i-i-i-i-i-i-ing~!" Pipp vocalized in awe.

"Now, that's the coolest!" Zipp exclaimed in fascination.

"Hay Fever Happy Berries!"

"That is so amazing......." Izzy and Sunny breathed in awe and amazement as the former jumped up and down in place, still not controlling her excitement.

"Wow, what a sight....."

"That Melody Tree is the most beautiful thing I have ever seen in my life......"

"A true mark of a Pokemon that specializes in music which shows how much of a talented singer Meloetta is."

"I've never seen a Melody Tree before! Meloetta must be more powerful than many humans and Pokemon realize!" the Swords of Justice breathed, awestruck and fascinated by the Melody Tree that came from Meloetta's power.

"So, those little things hanging from that tree are the mythical berries that can only be grown by that little Pokemon?"

"Her power is a mystery even to me but it does show how passionate she is about music and the beauty of it," Zelda and Link mused, looking and sounding impressed by what they saw.

The five Melody Berries then circled around the Melody Tree on their own in reaction to their creator's power as it then vibrated in response and changed to a more vibrant shade of yellow before the music bars expanded around the crowd.

"It's, it's........" Asha began, further stunned into fascination as her eyes glistened.

"The musical eye of the beholder," added Race, grinning.

"Just spectacular!"

"What brilliance......."

"Amazing!"

"Absolutely wonderful!"

"Coo, what a sight," Donna (former queen), Doug, Delilah, David, and Tsukumaro gasped as Meloetta began to sing, capturing the hearts of everyone gathered as they listened to her song.

Meowth fell head over heels for her as he looked lovestruck at her, gushing uncontrollably, "Sweet Meloetta, you're so beautiful..... My heart's melting like an ice cube under your radiance, you're the one I dig the most!"

But, little did the Team Rocket Scratch Cat Pokemon know that while he gushed over Meloetta after falling in love with her, he subconsciously used his Fury Swipes attack to scratch the wild Crustle's shell which his best friend took notice of as he gasped in horror and shock.

"WAH! Hey, partner! Stop! Don't do that!" Wobbuffet cried in alarm, only to be too late as the now-agitated Crustle growled at what Meowth was doing to his shell and unleashed a powerful Sandstorm which sent them flying into the air, screaming.

Oh, dear! That's Crustle Sandstorm!

"Hey!"

"Oh, no!"

"What's going on?!"

"That Crustle's using Sandstorm!"

"What?!"

"WHO'S THE WISE GUY WHO MADE THAT ROCK HEAD DO THAT?"

"Oh, that Meowth and his stupid Fury Swipes!" Loki, Dratini, Heiloseon, Mudsdale, Sarah's Altaria, Silvally, and Glaceon shouted while they winced.

However, that wasn't the only thing Crustle would do; whether he knew it or not, after getting everybody caught within his powerful attack as they all held their ground, the Stone Home Pokemon's Sandstorm attack also targeted the Melody Tree, destroying it in the process while also, to Meloetta's horror, scattered the five blossomed Melody Berries it had as the Ground Type attack went out into the forest.

"NOOOO!!!!!!"

"My Melody Berries!" Curly and Meloetta screamed.

Oh, no! Crustle's Sandstorm has destroyed the Melody Tree and scattered the Melody Berries!

And, scatter the Melody Berries Crustle's Sandstorm did; for while Meloetta saved the pink Melody Berry, the other four berries went off in two different directions with the purple and blue berries being flung far out west and the yellow and red berries being thrown to the east instead.

"Oh, no!" Sarah and her family shouted, shocked and horrified by what they saw.

"We're in trouble," Race blinked, stunned.

"That's not good!"

"The Melody Berries!"

"They're gone!"

"But, not all of them!" Fishlegs, Astrid, Zenna, and Hiccup remarked as Hiccup pointed everyone to the pink Melody Berry Meloetta had saved, the Melody Pokemon looking heartbroken by what had happened as she corseted the berry to her chest in sorrow and sadness.

Even if he was still rough around the edges, Eternatus couldn't help but feel sorry for her before he turned to Crustle as he realized his mistake and the ramifications of his retaliation to Meowth's accidental Fury Swipes attack on his shell, the Gigantic Pokemon beginning to stalk the Rock Type and growling with fury, "That, is the last, straw...... I'm going to make sure you regret ever coming here and ruining that musical pint's night out, you sand-loving, wretched, fat-clawed menace of a cra-!"

"Eternatus!" bellowed Sarah, stopping him before he could tear the now-terrified and apologetic Crustle apart. "Forget it, he's not the one responsible for ruining the concert; it's only the dress rehearsal as Meloetta told us but that Sandstorm he unleashed was an accident."

"Yeah, if you want to kick somebody's butt for ruining the whole thing, it's Meowth!"

"He and his stupid Fury Swipes made him a bad guy!"

"Well, I hope that idiot doesn't show us face around here again since we're now stuck between a rock and a hard place," Phanpy, Barf, and Hookfang snorted in anger and disgust.

"Hey, where is Meowth, anyway?" asked Meatlug.

They all heard a groaning noise from Meowth and Wobbuffet as they looked to one of the blue crystal rocks and saw them climbing up on it from the unexpected assault on them, "Ugh, I need a nap....."

"You can say that again, ugh......."

"Well, it's your fault for not being more careful with your claws in the first place, young man. And, don't get me started on how you didn't react in time to stop him when you did see what he did, Wobbuffet," Donna (Blitz's mother) chastized, causing both Meowth and Wobbuffet to wince under her motherly glare.

"Not only have you and that Crustle ruined the dress rehearsal for Meloetta's main performance tomorrow night but we are also now four Melody Berries short for her concert," added an unimpressed and disappointed Sirius as Blitz, Curly, and the Lake Guardians did their best to comfort the saddened Meloetta as she held the Melody Berry she saved.

The morning comes as the time of the main performance draws near as the female Melody Pokemon was on the ground on her knees, still saddened by how the dress rehearsal went wrong and knowing how much time she doesn't have until her main concert tonight. She knew above all, more than anybody else gathered, that without all five Melody Berries gathered together, her Moonlight Serenade will be called out and all of her hard work for her big performance would be for nothing. Not even a gentle nuzzle from Mew could make her smile again without knowing where the remaining Melody Berries had ended up after Crustle's Sandstorm via Meowth's Fury Swipes ruined everything.

"Poor Meloetta......"

"She looks so sad....." Fennekin and Cyndaquil sighed sadly for Meloetta.

"Meloetta's taking this really hard."

"That dress rehearsal was going well until Meowth scratched Crustle and that Sandstorm busted everything," Solar and Athena sighed.

"And, with not much time before her Moonlight Serenade begins and no knowledge of where the other Melody Berries are......" Sarah trailed off.

"Well, maybe we can help you regrow the Melody Tree today and hopefully, we'll patch up that little hiccup last night for your performance tonight," offered Flygon to Meloetta, only to get a sad headshake from Meloetta in response.

"It's too late; my Moonlight Serenade's tonight here at Lunatone Rock when the full moon comes out like it did yesterday during my dress rehearsal and unless I have my other Melody Berries back together with this one, there isn't going to be a serenade tonight," Meloetta replied sorrowfully, showing the Melody Berry she saved to emphasize her point while Sparky and Petunia did their best to comfort her as well.

"Well, I think it's time we do something about this mess like actually go out there and find those Melody Berries," Fishlegs decided, knowing what they should do to cheer Meloetta up.

"How are we gonna do that, Fishlegs?" Zenna quizzed.

"Yeah, you saw those berries flying off from that Sandstorm, right? We don't even know where they ended up," agreed Snotlout.

"But, we do know that two of the Melody Berries caught in the Sandstorm by Crustle sent two of the berries to the west and the other two to the east so we at least have a starting point," Magearna pointed out.

"Magearna's right; they're not gone forever but they couldn't have gone too far. We need to split up into two groups and bring them back to Meloetta before tonight or my name isn't.....Detective Zipp Storm," Zipp affirmed before she donned her Z-Goggles, detective pack, and mini-drone.

"Yes~! Let's get on this musical case!"

"Yepperoonie!" Pipp and Izzy grinned before they, Hitch, and Sunny brought their hooves together and vowed, "Hooves to heart!"

Everybody else agreed as, in separate groups, they brought their hands, hooves, paws, and claws together as they all looked at Meloetta and Sarah reassured her, "We'll find your Melody Berries, Meloetta!"

"Let's get jinkie with it!" Blitz added before they raised their hands.

"YEAH/YEAH/YEAH!"

Meloetta could only smile gratefully, immensely honored that she had the assistance of the royal family and their wayward friends to help her save her Moonlight Serenade before the worst happens. At the thought of being the one to find the lost Melody Berries and save her serenade from being canceled, Meowth began to gush over Meloetta again and fantasize being the hero behind the search-and-rescue operation and winning the heart of the Melody Pokemon but just as he snapped back into reality, he noticed that Sarah and her family and friends had split up to find the Melody Berries before he and Wobbuffet can.

The heroes' plan goes as follows; as there were two Melody Berries flung from the eastern and western end of the land, they decided to split into two groups to cover more ground and find them before the main performance which are as follows:

Team East:

The Mane 5 and their Pokemon, Edge Blade, the Fillies Three and Petunia, the Riders and their Pokemon and dragons, Sarah and her human family, Tepig, Oshawott, the Pikachu Couple and Blitz's parents, the Fidough Sisters, the Lycanroc Quartet, Roxie, Soro, Ziracon, Proud, Tyranitar, Piplup, Buneary, Dragonite, and the Tomoe Squad

Team West:

Togepi, Snivy, Snowflake and her family, the Meowstic Siblings, Rapidash and her family, Candy, Kaji, Star, Audino, Skitty, Eevee, Salamence, Houndoom, Latios and Latias, Braviary, Absol, Kion, Kiara, and their pride, the Totems Three, the Ancient Pokemon, Silvally and Tou-Tou, the Cyberchase Pokemon (including Sarahs Gift Eight), the Primal Pokemon, Hisuian Braviary, Nebby, Nebula, Reshiram, Bella, Robbie, Ella, Kit, Raksha, Rama, Falcon, Calculator, Cocoa, Blaze, Orpheus, Torch, and Thora

"DAH! No way! We're not getting beat to the berries like them, let's go!" Meowth barked indignantly before he and Wobbuffet dashed off after the heroes like the Roadrunner and Wild E. Coyote as the Patient Pokemon cried out, "Roger, Captain!"

Team East searched along the path through the forest that led up to Lunatone Rock, looking around at the vast expanse of thick trees and their canopies at the top and trying to see if any of the Melody Berries in their direction had ended up on any of them or with the Pokemon living in the treetops.

"Are you sure this is where the Melody Berries thrown by that Crustle's Sandstorm could be at?"

"Well, two of them landed around this area so it doesn't hurt to ask somebody about them and where they are right now," Race and Sarah bantered as everybody in their group searched for the berries or whoever could point them to their current location.

"If there are witnesses, I think we got two of them," Zipp directed, spotting a male Bulbasaur and a male Totodile playing Jump Rope with the former's vines.

Those are a Totodile and a Bulbasaur!

"Maybe one or both of them saw the Melody Berries pass by here."

"Let's ask them," Blitz and Curly suggested.

"Ah-b-b-b-b-bup! Stand back, you guys, I know how to pull this off. Watch the master do his work," bragged Oshawott with a confident grin as he got in front of his group before he fumbled on his first step with a yelp, tripping over his flippers and rolling past the surprised Totodile and Bulbasaur before he faceplanted at a nearby tree.

The Fillies Three and Petunia couldn't help but laugh as everybody else winced at how painful it felt for the Sea Otter Pokemon.

"That's my brother," Tepig grinned sheepishly as Blitz and Curly decided to ask them about the Melody Berries instead.

"Excuse us, if you don't mind us asking....."

"We're trying to find some berries called Melody Berries for our new friend, Meloetta. They look like this but one of them is purple, one of them is red, one of them is blue, and the last one is yellow. Have you seen them?" Curly and Blitz asked Bulbasaur and Totodile as the latter drew what the Melody Berries looked like via their shape to describe them to the pair.

Blitz and Curly are asking them whether or not they've seen the Melody Berries

"They're very important to our friend and we need to get them back before tonight."

"She's got a show coming later and if we don't get them back, she'll have to can it and there will be no music buzz tonight," Dusk and Luna implied, prompting the Plant and Sea Jaw Pokemon to think for a moment before they smiled broadly and nodded.

"Yes, we did see one of them!"

"Over this way, come on!" they replied before they led the group to where they saw one of the Melody Berries.

Looks like Bulbasaur and Totodile have a lead as to where one of the Melody Berries is

Eavesdropping on the conversation and looking at each other before they nodded, Meowth and Wobbuffet exchanged cheeky grins before they tailed the group, the Scratch Cat Pokemon still hoping for the chance to really impress Meloetta and win her heart should they find the Melody Berries first.

Returning to Lunatone Rock, the rest of Sarah's family that stayed behind were trying to figure out how to cheer Meloetta up as she continued to cradle the pink Melody Berry to her chest, still crestfallen about her dress rehearsal being ruined and the supposed loss of the other berries. She couldn't find it in herself to smile due to how glum she felt, knowing that if the other berries aren't found by tonight, her Moonlight Serenade would have to be canceled without question.

Amongst them were Sparky, Nikki's Lucario, Deerling, Hailstorm, Obsidian, Greta, Cookie, Absol, Bambi, Xatu, Whimsicott, Oliver, Mae Ling, Mercuur, the baby Jungle Pokemon, Skiddo, Appletun, Frosmoth, Eternatus, Cindy, Thunderailer, Infernohound, Aurequine, Permafrost, Elklace, and Ochotony (Fighting Form). In addition, Aqua, Mai, Panzeus, Zweice, Silvally, Mudsdale, Lolita, Goodra, Noctowl, Stufful, Cinderace, Cufant, Arcanine and his mate, most of the Legendaries, the Eevee Squad, and the Jungle Guard also stayed with the Melody Pokemon.

While the others are out looking for the missing Melody Berries, the rest of the royal family is trying to cheer up Meloetta

"No change in her?" quizzed Xatu.

"I'm afraid not, she hasn't made a single move ever since the other berries went missing and everybody else left to find them."

"What a time for us to lose something personal to Meloetta and crucial to her performing tonight's serenade," Aurequine and Frosmoth sighed.

"Boy, and I thought some of us were blue," remarked Panzeus worriedly.

"Indeed, there must be a way for us to cheer up the poor lass," agreed Totem Marowak.

"Those Melody Berries meant a lot to her and for her to lose them last night in an instant due to a mistake by Meowth really hit her hard," sighed Shadow.

"But, what can we do to lift her spirits after such a devastating setback with what happened during her dress rehearsal?" Winter pondered.

"Anybody got any bright ideas to make the impossible happen?" questioned Pyro.

"I got nothing," replied Wildfire in response while everybody else thought and went silent, having nothing on their minds.

"Anybody got any stupid ideas to work off from, then?" quizzed Flo but garnered the same silence from everybody as they still don't have anything on their minds.

"It's going to take us some time before tonight to find a way to cheer the poor darling up," Persian admitted with a sad frown.

"I don't know. But, since the little missy likes to sing herself until those stupid cows come home, why don't you pipsqueaks get her in La-La Land by that annoying singing?" Eternatus remarked sarcastically as he basked in the sun on one of the lower rock platforms but with his back turned on everybody.

"Gee, thanks for the vote of confidence, Mr. Grinch," Chomper rebutted sarcastically to the former Darkest Day.

But, Eternatus' remark sparked a light in Mai's head as she jumped up and down and squealed, "Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes.........!"

"Mai?" blinked a startled Leafeon as the little Mimikyu approached the downcast Meloetta while Eternatus watched in disbelief.

"'Oi, I was just kidding, Raggedy Ann," groaned Eternatus lowly as he continued to bask in the sun to tune out Mai as she began to sing to the Melody Pokemon.

What good is the day without the night~?

Everyone watched on in surprise as the little Mimikyu sang and bounced around Meloetta to cheer her up according to Eternatus' remark, making her look up at her new friend. Aqua realized what Mai was getting at and, getting a big grin on her face, she proceeded to join her friend in her newfound effort to make her happy again and maintain hope. Then, almost as if it reacted to her song, the Melody Berry she held resonated and it soon made the Melody Pokemon smile softly at them and the others look on with glee while Eternatus opened one eye and gave a tiny scoff before he continued his sun basking.

Mai and Aqua: What good is dark without the light~?

Just like a sunrise the best parts gonna be~

Somewhere in between~

Meloetta couldn't help but smile brighter as she wiped her tears away and felt that sense of hope brewing within her and floated up, making Mai look at her and jump up and down again gleefully.

"YAY! WE DID IT, YOU'RE SMILING AGAIN!" she cheered.

"Meloetta, don't lose hope. Mom and theothers will find the other berries and they'll be back in time for your serenade tonight," Aqua added reassuringly.

Sparky babbled innocently and, feeling happiy for Meloetta as well, he then toddled over to one of the crystals closest to the center stage before he breathed and blew out a puff of his Dragon Fire magic which soon made a large Pinap Berry appear in front of everyone (much to their surprise as they turned to Hitch's dragon).

"'Oi......" Eternatus groaned, opening one eye to see what happened again and looking on in disbelief.

"FOOOOOOOOD!!!!!!!!!!" the baby and younger Jungle Pokemon cheered.

"Remarkable magic from one so young!" Zelda admitted in awe.

"Incredible!" Zweice added.

"Yeah! I was getting hungry, anyway!" Mai peeped.

"By the size of that berry, the little fella's random transfiguration has done us some good here."

"Yes, that berry's large enough for all of us to eat for lunch," remarked an impressed Rama and Rapidash.

"There's a definite 100% chance of that happening given we're coming into the afternoon," Nitro nodded as he looked at the sun's current position and those of the shadows being cast. "Nice going there, Sparks," admitted an impressed Inferhound, nodding in approval.

"Thank you, Brother Sparky!" chirped Stufful as a sweatdropping Panzeus cuts up the berry into smaller pieces, allowing Sparky to babble happily before he took a piece of his be and gave it to Meloetta.

"Thank you...... I'm alright now, little one," Meloetta reassured, taking the berry piece as she looked at the pink Melody Berry still in her hands while finally maintaining hope that Sarah and the others would be back in time with the other berries safely back where they belong.

Meanwhile, back in the forest, Team East was continuing to follow the wild Bulbasaur and Totodile to the location of one of the missing Melody Berries on their end and when they stopped, they came across what looked to be a giant tree which was the biggest tree they've seen in Pokemon Forest.

"Suffering sasssafras....."

"What a fascinating tree!"

"It's giant......" Doug, Nikki, and Asha gasped in shock at the tree and its height.

"That, is the biggest tree, I have ever seen," Race admitted, rubbing his eyes to see if he wasn't dreaming while looking at the tree.

"Is it really up there, guys?" Sarah quizzed Totodile and Bulbasaur, trying to see one of the Melody Berries among its branches.

"Yeah, this is the place! It's where we last saw that berry you mentioned!"

"Up there in the tree, look!" Bulbasaur and Totodile noted, pointing everybody (including an eavesdropping Meowth and Wobbuffet) towards what looked like one of the Melody Berries stuck within the tree's branches.

"Good heavens! One of the Melody Berries is trapped up there!"

"It must've gotten stuck on one of the branches after it was flung toward the tree," Tsukumaro and Absol realized, seeing the purple Melody Berry amongst the branches as Zipp sent her mini drone up to the berry's current location and confirmed the pair, Bulbasaur, and Totodile's words.

"Yep, there's the Melody Berry, all right. We found what we're looking for," she nodded.

"But, what happened to the other Melody Berry with it?" asked Roxie.

"We'll figure that out another time. Right now, we've got to think of a way to get it back down again," Blossom reminded as Meowth sniggered from behind the tree, eager to prove himself to Meloetta.

"As always, the one who grabs it first grabs the rest! HA!" he sneered as he jumped on the tree and began to scale it, catching Buneary's attention as she gasped in surprise and shock at him.

"Mommy!" she called to Sarah, getting her and everybody else's attention before she pointed at Meowth who was trying to reach the Melody Berry first before the royal family and the Riders cut him off. "Look up!"

"It's Meowth!"

"What's that sniveling feline doing up there?!" gasped Persian and Kurma.

"He's trying to cut us off by getting to that Melody Berry first, thinking it's a race or a contest!" Asha deducted.

"We gotta stop him!"

"How are we going to do that?" Tepig and Proud bantered.

But, seeing the Melody Berry on the treetops, Tempest Sparkle just giggled as the little Alicorn filly fluttered off of Edge Blade's head and up the trunk of the tree, coming up in front of Meowth just as he was about to grab it and giving him a good fright.

"Wah, you! You're one of the baby twerpettes!" he shrieked in bewilderment, causing Tempest to give him a cute giggle before she grabbed the berry in her hooves and went back to her family with Zipp's mini drone following behind her. "Did she just.....?"

"She pulled a fast one on Meowth."

"Amazing!"

"Well done, kid!"

"Very impressive."

"That little filly, full of surprises," Delilah, Persian, Blossom, Kurma, Sokka, and Doug remarked, impressed and amused. "I bet that little cat scratcher didn't see that one coming."

"Neither did we if you haven't already known," Asha and Race chuckled as Tempest floated to Sarah, Blitz, Curly, and Edge (with Zipp standing beside the former mute alicorn from her right).

"Bewwy," she peeped, holding out the Melody Berry she retrieved to them.

"Good job, Tempest!"

"Good on ya, kiddo," Blitz and Edge congratulated with Zipp rubbing her head as she rested herself in the crest of her caretaker's front left leg.

"One down, three to go," grinned Zorro.

"You snooze, you lose, Meowth!" Edge taunted Meowth as her entire group, Bulbasaur, and Totodile left to find the other Melody Berry in their area, leaving a flabbergasted Scratch Cat Pokemon behind.

"Oh, man! I was so close!" he moaned before he lost his grip and flailed as he fell down the tree, screaming.

"Hang on, buddy! I gotcha, I gotcha! Easy! Easy!" Wobbuffet shouted as he desperately tried to keep up with him so he can catch him only for both of them to crash into a Snorlax and be sent flying.

"WE'RE BLASTING OFF AGAIN/NEW RECORD BLAST-OFF!!!!!!!!!!"

Soon, the pair landed on the west end of the forest, picking themselves up from the numerous blast-offs they had with Jessie and James over the years.

"Man, there's nothing more humiliating than being the last ones in line."

"You can say that again," the pair huffed before they heard and found Team West talking with a Chikorita and a Torchic, the Johto Grass and Hoenn Fire Starters.

"Hello, my family and I are looking for some Melody Berries, one red and one blue. They're really important to our friend, Meloetta, and her Moonlight Serenade she's holding tonight, have you seen them?" Snivy inquired to the wild Starter Pokemon.

They wouldn't have to wonder what happened to both berries or one of them as at that moment, Togepi strolled happily out of the bushes with one of the Melody Berries in her hands (blue Melody Berry) while laughing.

"A Melody Berry!" Meowth cheered, his hopes soaring high.

"Yeah, baby sis!"

"You found one of the Melody Berries!" squealed Nebby and Nebula in delight.

"No way!"

"She found the blue Melody Berry!"

"Now, how did she do that?"

"Beats me, I'm just as stumped as you on how the kid did it."

"Child's innocence or beginner's luck?"

"Seems plausible but who are we to judge?" Ella, Audino, Orpheus, Torch, Kion, and Hydreigon bantered in stunned awe.

"Is it a coincidence?" Tou-Tou quizzed awkwardly to his brother as they looked on in bewilderment.

"No way, that can't be," Silvally replied doubtfully.

"YAY, TOGEPI!" Chomper and Frostbite cheered.

But, the celebrations were premature at best because without warning, Togepi accidentally tripped and dropped the berry before it rolled away, prompting a shocked Meowth, Snivy, Torchic, Chikorita, Wobbuffet, and Skitty to make a break after it before they could lose it. They all chased after the berry as fast as they could down a hill and through a large tunnel connecting to a series of Diglett tunnels with each of them popping their heads out from each tunnel and ducking back inside as they tried to keep up with the berry while it rolled past them.

"Huh?!"

"Where did it-?"

"Hmm?"

"Hey!"

"No!"

"Got i-not!"

"There, nya!"

The Melody Berry continued to roll on before Latios and Latias appeared and flew after it together, joining in the chase as they tried to cut it off.

"Almost, come on! Almost!"

"You're not gonna get away this time!" they shouted to the berry as they came closer and closer to it only for them to smack into a large boulder together with painted grunts (as a result of them not watching where they were going and keeping their full focus on the Melody Berry).

The berry rolled underneath the boulder and down another tunnel after it tilted forward, revealing Sarah's Eon Pokemon having swirls in their eyes and red faces as they groaned in pain.

"Funny! Funny! Funny family! He-he-he-he-he-he-he-he-he-he-he-he!" Togepi, despite losing the Melody Berry earlier, could only laugh hysterically as she enjoyed the show she was watching with the rest of her family and friends from atop the hill (the others wincing or watching awkwardly as they saw Snivy, Meowth, Wobbuffet, Latios, Latias, Skitty, Torchic, and Chikorita going after it but having no success in catching it).

As Eevee decided to join in and help, Meowth and Wobbuffet tried to catch the berry again but fell down another Diglett hole as they cried, "I got it, I got-WAAAAAHHHH!!!!!!!!"

"CRAAAAAAAAAP!!!!!!!!!!!"

"We got it, we g-D'OH!" Chikorita and Torchic boomed, only for them to bump into and knock each other back painfully as the Melody Berry bounced and skipped past them, leaving Togepi in hysterics still as she laughed even harder.

"If I don't get that berry for my lovely Meloetta, it'll all go downhill from there!" Meowth fretted as he and the rest of the Pokemon after the berry still (Eevee included) before they found themselves atop another hill (but a steep one) and they all rolled in a circle together.

The seven Pokemon yelped and screamed in surprise as they rolled down the hill which lead to a cliff. Seeing this, Snivy smartly grabbed a nearby rock spire from the ground as they rolled off the edge, leaving Meowth and Wobbuffet to let go and allowing Chikorita to grab the berry as she and the others landed safely back on the cliff.

"Got it!" she grinned, seeing the Melody Berry in her right vine while Meowth bounced along a long line of Diglett before they ended up on a Dugtrio that shot them up into the air.

"WE'RE BLASTING OFF TWICE!!!!!!!"

"THAT AIN'T VERY NICE!!!!!!!!" Meowth and Wobbuffet hollered as they twinkled out of sight, leaving all of the Pokemon to laugh at them.

Team East was continuing their search for the last Melody Berry on their and as they came across a river as well as a Psyduck, a Squirtle, and a wild male Piplup before they decided to inquire on where the third berry could be.

"Excuse me, have any of you seen a berry that looked like this?" Roxie asked the three wild Pokemon as she and Oliver drew it out for them on the ground.

"It's one of Meloetta's Melody Berries and we need to find it and get it back to her before tonight for her Moonlight Serenade," Oliver added with a hint.

"Hey, that's easy! I know what you're looking for, follow me!" the wild Piplup claimed, brimming with confidence before he led everybody a few feet up the river with Psyduck and Squirtle by his side.

Looks like Piplup knows where our heroes can find the Melody Berry they're looking for

The heroes looked all over the river while the wild Piplup led them to what he thought was the berry itself. However, when he showed them what he thought the Melody Berry was, it turned out to be nothing but a Clamperl, causing everybody to comically falter with a groan.

However, the wild Piplup was unaware that the Clamperl didn't look anything like one of Meloetta's Melody Berries as she unknowingly put his right flipper near the edge of the Water Pokemon's shell and it clamped shut on it. The wild Penguin Pokemon shrieked in pain as he ran around in circles before he smacked head-first into a nearby tree and fell back, his face red with swirls for eyes before Clamperl released his right flipper which was red and stung badly.

Realizing that the wild Piplup and his friends needed a better reference point, Oshawott took up the Melody Berry his group found and showed it to Psyduck and Squirtle as he said, "Like this one but in either blue, red, or purple. Have you seen it?"

"Like that one.....?" the Duck Pokemon echoed, tilting his head before he looked at him with intense worry and yet thinking strangely.

"Um...... Are, you okay?" Oshawott pondered awkwardly as Proud came forward and gently nudged him away from Psyduck.

"Kid, let him breathe. He's not comfortable with questions that require a lot of thinking," Proud chastised.

"He's got ya there, Oshawott," Sarah nodded.

The Sea Otter Pokemon blinked nervously as Psyduck continued to look at him without offering a simple answer as he relented, "Uh, well...... Never mind, forget it."

Blitz and Curly decided to look along the edge of the river and to their surprise, they saw a wild Corphish happily dancing and playing with the Melody Berry without a care in the world.

Oh! That Corphish is holding one of the remaining Melody Berries!

"There it is, Mom!"

"That Corphish over there found it before we did!" they called to the group.

"So, that's where the last Melody Berry here ended up!" Donna (Blitz's mother) cried in surprise.

"That Corphish is the one who found the Melody Berry we're looking for. Good work, you two," Doug congratulated the younger Pikachu couple. "

One problem, it looks like it doesn't want to give us the berry since it's playing with it right now," Asha reminded.

"How do you expect us to wrangle it back without that crab boy picking a fight over it?" James inquired to the Alola king.

"I'll get it!"

"Me, too! Watch this," Oshawott and Piplup volunteered as they went to ask Corphish for the Melody Berry.

"Hey, wait for me!" Squirtle called as he quickly joined his fellow Water Pokemon Starters to help them retrieve the berry.

"Excuse us, Mr. Corphish?" "

We need your help," Squirtle and Piplup piped up when the trio approached the Ruffian Pokemon.

"We've noticed you playing that berry and we can't help asking..... Can we have it, please?" Oshawott asked.

But, even thought Corphish are known for being extremely aggressive towards anything that was a nuisance to them, this male Corphish appeared to be happy-go-lucky as he twirled around while dancing with the Melody Berry in his pincers with a blissful smile on his face before he socked Piplup in his stomach with a right upper cut.

"THIS REALLY BIIIIIIIIIIITES!" he squealed as he breached the surface and splashed back down, shocking everybody watching.

"Oh, dear......"

"That bad, huh?"

"Sounds like that Corphish is having too much fun with that Melody Berry in his pincers." Donna (former queen), Astrid, and Stormfly winced.

"He doesn't want to give it up," Astrid's Axew remarked.

"Nah, that guy's got Izzy's happy buzz. I think we'll get a better vantage point via my mini drone and see how they're getting on," Zipp replied, sending her mini drone (which was thankfully waterproof so the river wouldn't short-circuit it) and found Oshawott, Piplup, and Squirtle trying and failing to convince Corphish to give them the Melody Berry as the Sea Otter Pokemon and wild Tiny Turtle Pokemon got the same treatment. "Ouch, now Oshawott and Squirtle got a left-hand hook and he's not giving it up so......"

"YAAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!!!!"

"NOT COOL, NOT COOL!!!!!!" Oshawott and Squirtle squealed in pain as they breached the surface and splashed back down as well, making everybody wince sympathetically again.

"Damn, he's about as happy-go-lucky as they get."

"Too happy-go-lucky but thankfully, not as much as Izzy, if you ask me," Nikki's Lucario and James' Dragonite bantered awkwardly.

"May I step in and help, Princess?" inquired Sokka to Sarah.

"Nah, let them try again," the little princess declined.

Recovering from the unexpected blows, Piplup, Squirtle, and Oshawott regrouped as they faced the happy-go-lucky Ruffian Pokemon as he laughed at them for their failure to snag the Melody Berry out of his grasp.

"Heh-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha! What's the matta', you young'uns bent out of shape against springy old me? Here's the berry, come and get it! It's right here, keep your eyes on the prize!" Corphish sniggered cheekily as he waved the Melody Berry in front of them, irking the three Water Type Starters.

"Okay, Mr. Corphish! We tried being nice, now we're going to get that berry for Mr. Oshawott and his family's friend no matter what! Count on it! You hear us?!" ranted Squirtle as Corphish continued to laugh.

"Come on! Oop, it's getttin' heavy!"

"We gotta get that berry!" Oshawott shouted.

"Spread out!" Piplup called, getting nods from his fellow Water Types before they surrounded Corphish with Squirtle banking left, Oshawott flanking right, and the wild Penguin Pokemon facing the Ruffian Pokemon up front with the former two firing Water Gun and throwing his Scalchop, only for Corphish to dodge and have their attack and prized object hit each other which caused them to breach the surface and splash back down again.

Corphish laughed at their misfortune but he'd reckon without Piplup as he fired Bubblebeam and sent the now-startled Hoenn Water Type flying out of the water, making him drop the Melody Berry from his right claw as it flew from him

"The Melody Berry!"

"It's gone airborne!" Sunny and Zipp shrieked in panic before the yellow Melody Berry fell in front of a sulking Meowth and Wobbuffet (who lamented about not finding one of the berries themselves).

"Eh?! What's this?" Meowth puzzled until he recognized the Melody Berry and grabbed it eagerly, "Yowzers! A Melody Berry, wow! It looks like my lousey little loser streak finally ran out of gas!"

"Finally, lucky break!" Wobbuffet agreed before they turned and crashed into Psyduck.

Psyduck, thinking that they were not minding their own business when they crashed into him, fired Water Gun at the pair and caused them to be sent flying again, making Meowth drop the blue Melody Berry and send it flying instead into Sarah's hands as she caught it.

"Hey, I got it!"

"Wow, Mom! Talk about luck of the Irish, huh?" Sarah and her Piplup balked in surprise.

"Thank you, Meowth!" Buneary giggled as she waved at Meowth and Wobbuffet.

"No! I was so close that time, that Melody Berry there was right at the palm of my paw!" Meowth wailed dramatically.

"Not fair! Hmm?" Wobbuffet pouted in agreement before he and his partner soon saw a Drifblim in their flight path and with the final Melody Berry, the red berry, on its head. "Hey, Bro! Look!"

"Ah! The last berry and it's all mine for my sweet Meloetta!" Meowth gasped, his eyes widening and a grin on his face as they grabbed the Blimp Pokemon and floated past Team West who immediately saw the berry on the Flying Type.

"Berry! Berry! Melody Berry!" Togepi giggled as her team gasped in surprise and shock at the red Melody Berry on the Drifblim and Meowth and Wobbuffet holding onto it while trying to reach the berry.

"Uh-oh!"

"Meowth and Wobbuffet!" Danielle and Snowflake gasped.

"They're trying to get the last berry atop that Drifblim!"

"We gotta stop them!"

"Get it!" Candy, Nebby, and Snivy screamed.

Quickly, Chikorita used her Vine Whip and wrapped her vines the Drifblim as well as Meowth and Wobbuffet with but the wild Blimp Pokemon was much stronger than it looked as it carried her up with ease and Snivy grabbed onto her paws, forcing a chain reaction out of some of the others in her party as Snoflake, Danny, Danielle, Yamper, Wooloo, Cranidos, Tyrunt, Amaura, Silvally, Tou-Tou, Hikari, Chomper, Frostbite, Orpheus, Torch, Bella, Robbie, and Torchic grabbed each other to pull the quintet down. But, it was no use as Drifblim carried them all into the air as they screamed.

The only ones left while watching from the ground were Topegi (who had the purple Berry in her paws), Draco, Hydgreion, Flygon, Rapidash, Scorch, Star, Kaji, Salamance, Braviary, Eevee, Skitty, Latios, Latias, Houndoom, Audino, Candy, Star, Absol, Kion and Kiara's Pride, Totem Trio, Tyrantrum, Aurorus, the Cyberchase Pokemon (including Sarah's Gift Eight), The Primal Pokemon and Hisuian Braviary, Nebby, Nebula, Reshiram, Kit, Ella, Rama, Raksha, Falcon, Calculator, Cocoa, Blaze and Thora as they all stared in shock and horror.

"Oh, no!"

"Guys! Come back!"

"Drifblim's getting away!"

"He's carrying them up into the sky along with those stooges and the last Melody Berry!" Tyrantrum, Falcon, Orpheus, and Torch boomed in bewilderment and shock.

"I cannot believe it! How are we going to get the Melody Berry back, now?" Scorch fretted.

"Let's tail them and hope we come up with a plan to get them back on good ol' terra-firma!"

"Right, we must not let Meowth lay his hands on Meloetta's last berry!" Salamence and Houndoom suggested, making the others agree as they all chased after Drifblim and the rest of their family (with Houndoom getting the giggling Togepi and the Melody Berry she was holding on his back as they flew and ran).

The chase was on as Meowth noticed his and Wobbuffet's tailgaters and he snapped at them while he tried to get to the Melody Berry, "Hey, get off! Let go! That's my Melody Berry!"

The shouting and screaming soon caught the attention of Totodile and Bulbasaur (whom had parted ways with Team East after their new friends thanked them for their help) as they turned and what was going on.

"Hey, it looks like those guys have found the last of the Melody Berries!"

"Let's give them a hand!"

"Yeah, let's help! Vine Whip!" the two bantered as Bulbasaur used his Vine Whip and caught onto Torchic only for him to be dragged up as well along with Totodile as he held him tight and they were lifted up into the air, too.

Hearing what was going on, Sarah and the rest of her family along with the wild Piplup, Squritle, and Corphish (after clearing up the misunderstanding about the blue Melody Berry he was playing with and getting his assistance to find the last berry) arrived and saw the commotion along with the red Melody Berry atop Drifblim's head with the first half of Team West, Bulbasaur, Chikorita, Totodile, and Torchic hanging onto it, Wobbuffet, and Meowth with the second half of Team West tailing them from behind.

"Oh, no!"

"What's going on?!" Sarah and Asha cried, flabbergasted.

"Oh, my goodness!"

"What are they doing?!" Delilah and David added in total bewilderment before the Fillies Three blinked and saw the red Melody Berry on Drifblim.

"Berry, berry, berry!" they squealed, pointing everybody in Team East to the red Melody Berry.

"Holy Arceus, it looks like the others have found the last Melody Berry!"

"On top of that Drifblim's head!"

"But, it's lifting them all up in the air along with Meowth and Wobbuffet!"

"And, it has no idea about the berry and why we want to back!" Tsukumaro, Hitch, Bounsweet, and Sugarcoat cried just as Zipp brought out her Z-Goggles and zoomed in on the berry on the Blimp Pokemon's head.

"It is! That's the last Melody Berry for Meloetta's serenade tonight!" she confirmed as Hitch's animal friends clicked, squeaked, and chirped worriedly.

"We have to get all of them down along with the berry!"

"How are we going to do that, Your Excellency?" Donna (former queen) and Sirius said.

"Let's see if we can weigh them down! Come on!" the wild Piplup suggested as he, Squirtle, Corphish, and Oshawott hurried over and held onto the line via Totodile and Bulbasaur, only for them to squeal in fright and bewilderment as they were dragged along for the ride and shouted, "Not cool, NOT COOOOOL!!!!!!!”

"Good job, guys, hold 'em there! Come on, Curly!"

"Okay!" Blitz and Curly bantered as they quickly ran up the line.

The Pikachu couple had made up the line and were standing on top of Meowth and Wobbuffet's heads but just as they were about to grab the red Melody Berry, the wind picked up and they were being carried away as well as everybody holding on screamed.

"HEEEEEEEEEEEELP/HEEEEEEEEEEEELP!!!!!!!!!!" they all wailed as they were blown away.

"MY BABY!"

"SOOOOON!" Blitz's parents cried in horror as everybody else watched on in horrified shock while Togepi just giggled and danced about happily (while she and a flabbergasted Race held onto the Melody Berries they found).

"Togepi, please! Be serious! This is no laughing matter!" Tsukumaro fretted admonishly as he held his Spike Ball Pokemon.

"We gotta get them back or they and the last berry will be blown far away from here and Lunatone Rock!" Fishlegs cried out.

"IF we can get them back!" reminded Meatlug.

"Hitch, we gotta do something! Can't you use your vines to pull them back down again?!" Sunny flustered to her old friend.

"I can't! They're too far up for my vines to reach, I can only do much with how high I can get to them!" Hitch rebutted, trying to keep his cool despite threatening to panic as well.

"Come on, guys! Let's go up there and help!" Hiccup suggested to his friends and their dragons and Pokemon before he turned to Loki and Toothless as he got on his best friend. "Loki, Toothless, let's ride!"

"Don't leave us hanging!" Zenna called to Hiccup as she mounted Stryka and Kaulu got on her right shoulder.

"Let's move!" Astrid shouted in agreement as she and her Axew mounted Stormfly and the three riders took off with the others and their Pokemon and dragons following suit.

"Race, can you have Rama use Psychic to hold them in place before the wind blows them off?" Sarah asked her boyfriend.

"I can try," Race nodded before he turned to his Slowking. "Hey, Rama!"

"Master?" the Slowking asked, turning to his human partner.

"Try and use Psychic to hold them before they're blown away!"

Nodding in agreement and knowing what he must do, Rama focused his psychic energies and his eyes glowed a bright blue before he managed to hold Drifblim in place with Psychic (hopefully, long enough to ensure that the berry can be retrieved and everybody can be saved).

"Nice work, Rama! Hawlucha, let's go!"

"Us, too, Swanna! Let's hurry!" Zipp and Pipp called to their Partner Pokemon as they took flight to help.

"Right!"

"As you wish!" the Wrestling and White Bird Pokemon agreed as they joined their pony partners.

Focusing her magical prowess, Sunny activated her alicorn form, regaining her wings and horn as she made her way to the others, following Pipp, Zipp, the Riders, their Pokemon, and the dragons from behind while Siren, Shortcake, and Sugarcoat looked on with their friends.

"Be careful, Sunny!" Shortcake shouted to her pony friend.

"Gorie, Falcon, Calculator, you guys go, too! See if you can give them a hand before the wind picks up again!" Race called to his Volcarona, Pidgeot, and Metagross who all agreed and took off.

"Nebby, Nebula, Elder, Alder, give them a hand! Quick!" screamed Sarah to her Ultra Beasts and the Titan Wing Mist Twister as they took to the air and flew over to lend a hand, too.

But, the wind was not making things easy for everybody; strong gusts were making things turbulent for the rescuers given how high up they are despite Rama using Psychic to hold Drifblim. What made things worse was that despite his best efforts, the wind was blowing the line of Pokemon holding onto it, Meowth, and Wobbuffet from side to side, threatening to make them let go as Meowth and Wobbuffet felt their grips on the Blimp Pokemon slowly coming loose which made it harder for the rescuers to try and grab them. This also added the challenge of Blitz and Curly having to maintain their balance so they don't end up falling and losing their only chance to grab the last Melody Berry before things would soon go belly-up for everybody involved.

"Come on! Come here, you!"

"Almost.....got it!" Blitz and Curly groaned, trying to reach out to the Melody Berry before they could lose it.

The screaming and shouting also caught the attention of Meloetta and the rest of Sarah's family as they left Lunatone Rock and walked a short distance to find them and figure out out what was going on only to gasp in shock and surprise at the sight they were seeing ahead of them in the distance atop a large hill they walking were on.

"Huh/Huh?!" Cookie, Bambi, Xatu, Oliver, the baby and younger Jungle Pokemon spluttered in shock.

"What's going on over there?!" Keldeo balked.

"Something's wrong!"

"It sounds like the others are in trouble!" Goodra and Mudsdale deducted.

"Hey, check out that red glint on top of that Drifblim and who's riding on it!" Skiddo cried, seeing the last Melody Berry on the Blimp Pokemon's head along with Blitz and Curly.

"It's the last Melody Berry and Blitz and Curly along with the rest of our family!" shouted Frosmoth.

"They must be in trouble," Zelda realized seeing the Riders, their Pokemon and dragons, Nebby, Nebula, Alder, Elder, Gorie, Calculator, Falcon, Sunny, Pipp, Zipp, Hawlucha, and Swanna coming over to help their rescue victims.

"And, they're all so far up in the sky!"

"While that Drifblim's carrying them!"

"Oh, for the love of Arceus! Now, I've seen everything!" Cyndaquil, Panzeus, and Zwiece remarked.

"Those pipsqueaks have really dug themselves deep this time," Eternatus snorted with a quiet snigger.

"Here, I've got to help them!" Meloetta replied, handing Mai the pink Melody Berry she was holding and floating off to help save the group in trouble before things go from bad to worse. "Hang on, guys! I'm coming!"

"Meloetta, wait!" Aqua shouted as the Melody Pokemon rushed off to the rescue but it was too late.

"Oh, brother," Eternatus groaned before he relented and soon followed after Meloetta to assist in the unorthodox rescue attempt.

With the flying group, they tried to hold on as best they could but the swinging they were making as the gusts of wind blasted at them from either direction didn't help matters much and it made it especially difficult for Curly and Blitz and grab the Melody Berry before they would lose it and their grip.

"I can't feel my arms anymore! Bummer!"

"Same, whoa!" whined Meowth and Wobbuffet, trying not to look down and hold their grip onto Drifblim but slowly failing with the extra weight on them from below.

"Hang on, everybody!"

"We'll save ya!" Hiccup and Snotlout called to the Pokemon as they and the rest of their rescue party arrived.

"Whoa.... Whoa! AH! I'm losing it! DAH! HEEEEEEEELP!" Bulbasaur wailed as he slowly lost his grip as they and a few others finally gave way and fell down, screaming.

"Zipp, Pipp, grab Bulbasaur and Totodile!" Sunny shouted to the Pegasi sisters.

"On it!" they nodded before they rushed over and grabbed the wild Bulbasaur and Totodile.

"Orpheus, can you still fly with Torch on you?" shouted Zipp to Race's Reliquine.

"No problem!" he replied before he turned to Torch. "Hang on, Torch!"

"Oh, I'm hanging! I'm hanging!" the Bustallion noted as Orpheus spread his wings and lets go of Frostbite before he flaps with all his might and Torch hangs on by his hindlegs.

"Land on me, Uncle Torch!" Nebby called out as he approached from underneath them, allowing Torch to let go and land on his back safely.

"Land on our body, everybody! Quick!"

"And, me!" Elder and Nebula called, getting the attention of the Pokemon that saw them and their rescue party coming.

"Abandon ship!" Yamper barked as he, Snowflake, Danny, Danielle, Wooloo, and Cranidos let each other go and landed on Elder and Alder's necks and body while Nebby and Nebula used Psychic to carry Tyrunt, Amaura, Silvally, Tou-Tou, Hikari, Chomper, and Frostbite onto their backs.

"Gotcha!" Gorie shouted to Robbie and Bella, catching them in the nick of time.

That just left Meowth, Wobbuffet, Blitz, Curly, Snivy, Chikorita, Torchic, the wild Piplup, Squirtle, Oshawott, and Corphish as the last ones waiting to be rescued while the Pikachu couple slowly inched their way to the red Melody Berry.

"Almost got it!" called Blitz, he and Curly straining as they got closer to the berry as it tilted to the right, threatening to fall.

"I'm losing my grip!" Meowth barked, his muscles screaming in pain as they threatened to give while Blitz stood on his head and stretched even further.

"Toughen up your arms next time, it's good for you!" Snotlout shouted in encouragement.

"Come on, Meowth! It's not as hard as it looks!" Fishlegs added.

"Almost there.......gotta beat the berry before it falls!" Curly grunted as she and Blitz continued to reach out for the berry until it finally rolled into their paws as they shouted, "GOT IT!"

Unfortunately, their success also proved to be their and the others' undoing as their final successful effort caused Meowth, Wobbuffet, and Chikorita to finally lose their grip on Drifblim and the Team Rocket duo and start free-falling, screaming in the process of making a crash landing.

"Oh, Thor!" Hiccup freaked.

"No!" Zenna shrieked as Toothless and Stryka warbled in horror.

"Stormfly!" Astrid called, having her Deadly Nadder bolt down to reach them with the help of the other dragons and Riders and their Pokemon.

They rushed over as fast as they could but they couldn't reach them in time before Meloetta and Eternatus appeared in time to save them all.

"Hang on! Psychic~!" the Melody Pokemon sang, activating Psychic and catching them all just in time and catching the attention of everybody else watching while Mai and her party rushed over to meet them with Meloetta.

All of the Pokemon let out happy cries of relief as they were brought back down to the ground and canceled Psychic but as for Meowth and Wobbuffet, they soon landed on the Crustle from before and, well, you know.......

"You again?! SANDSTORM!!!!!!!!!" the annoyed Crustle roared, feeling the two on his shell before he used Sandstorm to send them flying once more.

"WE'RE BLASTING OFF, THREE FOR THREE!!!!!!!!"

"THREE STRIKES, WE'RE OUT!!!!!!!!!!" they wailed as they twinkled out of the sky.

Meanwhile, back on the heroes' side, Meloetta saw that all of the Melody Berries are back together as she held out the pink berry, Togepi holds out the purple berry in her hands for her, Race gives her back the blue berry, Oshawott hands her the yellow berry, and Blitz returns the red berry to their new friend.

"Here they are, the other berries, safe and sound. You won't have to worry about canceling your serenade tonight," Blitz smiled kindly.

"Here you go!"

"All of them safely home with you!"

"Your serenade will still go on now that they're back," Togepi, Oshawott, and Race added.

"Thank you, everybody! You've saved my Moonlight Serenade and with all of my berries back, the show can go on!" Meloetta thanked as she raised the pink berry and all of them glowed, leaving everybody to cheer for Meloetta as her Moonlight Serenade was saved.

They've done it! All of the Melody Berries have been found and the Moonlight Serenade can go on without a hitch!

That night, it was time for Meloetta to begin her Moonlight Serenade as more Pokemon arrived to attend the main event; amongst all of the Pokemon attending were a Pignite, three Pichu, a wild Cyndaquil, Mudkip, a wild Charmander, a Pachirisu, a Turtwig, a Plusle and Minum having pom-poms in their hands, a Mime Jr (who mimicked them as they cheered), a wild Riolu, a wild Tepig, a Kecleon, a Wynaut, a Munchlax, a Larvitar, and, to the horror of Nikki and James, Jigglypuff.

Speaking of Asha's parents, they, their daughter, and the rest of their family took their places on the same platforms they were watching the dress rehearsal from during the previous night with their new friends joining them to watch the concert.

Amazingly, Misty, Hitch, and Edge Blade were invited on stage for a special number that'll serve as a musical prologue or appetizer before she begins her own main number. Surprisingly enough, Meowth and Wobbuffet returned to Lunatone Rock and were standing alongside Crustle on his platform (after the three of them exchanged apologies and got on friendlier terms with each other) to enjoy Meloetta's Moonlight Serenade.

"Free People, I thank you all for coming here tonight for my Moonlight Serenade! Tonight, you'll bear witness to what is my grand performance for you all, made possible by my new friends after a little accident last night. And, now" Meloetta grinned, her Melody Berries glowing one by one as they twirled around her and floated below her before a small blue pool of light appeared and the Melody Tree reappeared in its former glory but now at full power, the berries swirling around the vibrant yellow musical tree and its branches that slithered outward and looked more like a rose flower.

Everyone was in awe of the Melody Tree looking better than ever as Delilah, Asha, Race, Sarah, Pipp (whom took several pictures to post later on Clip Trot), Kurma, Sokka, Zelda, and Link summarized everybody's thoughts while the other Pokemon, the Riders, and their partners and dragons gasped, roared, warbled, and cheered in amazement, "How marvelous......!"

"Sick tree......."

"I cannot believe it......!"

"Hashtag: Stuni-i-i-i-i-i-ing~!"

"Well, now that's one musical marvel you can't find at home."

"Remarkable, isn't it?"

"I've never seen such a beautiful tree made out of music and psychic power before......"

"A true marvel only made possible by the Melody Pokemon herself."

Even Talon, Hikari, Frostbite, Chomper, Hailstorm, and Obsidian were left speechless at what could be the most beautiful sight in their lives as they smiled at Meloetta's creation as she floated near the tree's base before she and the three ponies began to sing their songs.

As she wanted, they went first with their song before she would perform her trademark attack and number.

As the three ponies started singing, the Melody Berries twirled around the Melody Tree's musical bars, soaring around the entirety of Lunatone Rock in perfect unison while everyone was left in speechless awe.

Misty: Eeeeeven when it feels so confusin'when you're alone~

All: You knoooooow~

We got each other to find our way home~

Cause I got you and you got me~

We're closer than close friends yeah, we're a family~

If you're feeling low or incomplete~

You'll always got me, yeah, we're a family~

The violet and blue Melody Berries flew into the lake where they created a fountain that spurted out light blue water as Meloetta swirled around the musical bars herself, truly in her element as she sang her heart out (consequently causing Meowth to crush on her again as he drooled over her performance and display while having hearts over his eyes).

At the same time, Sarah was having flashbacks over her time throughout the last two years since she first arrived at the Pokemon School and met her friends, fifteen years after being sent into the future for her own protection. From the moment when Blitz became her very first Pokemon to all of the adventures they had ever since they first met Ash and the Pokemon School Gang and the moments when she was slowly be surely reunited with her birth family up to when she finally met her mother and father in the underground chambers below the Altar of the Sunne on Poni Island.

She also couldn't help but notice how much she has changed through her family and friends but mostly from Race since they all first met him in the Kanto Region and their journey from strangers to friends and eventually, a young couple when their love for each other was made known and they sealed the deal following the revival of her and her family's old home (knowing that when they eventually marry, he'll be her husband and brother-in-law as well as her future king should he choose to ascend to the throne following their impending marriage).

Then, gently jumping down from the stage, she took her and Race's hands in her hooves before she brought them on the stage for them to sing with her, Edge, and Hitch which garnered cheers from their families and friends including Petunia, Sparky, and the Three Fillies as they all babbled and cooed with joy and happiness for them while they clapped. The young couple was surprised but they shrugged and decided to oblige to Misty's silent request as they joined in.

Everybody cheered loudly as Misty, Hitch, and Edge's performance with Sarah and Race as their guest singers was finished but the serenade was far from over as Meloetta then took center stage as she she flew high into the air and the Melody Berries then danced around her, the stage soon exploding with beautiful fountains of color and light with small violet and blue firework-like lights sprouting from the ground and into the air. Colorful water then danced into the air with the musical branches being seen around the forest as Meloetta then used her signature move, Relic Song, as she changed from her Aria Forme to her Pirouette Forme.

Evidently, everything that happened during Misty, Hitch, and Edge's song repeated as she flew around the forest and Lunatone Rock but with one major difference thanks to the trio's song; as she sang and following their number, their Cutie Marks glowed brightly in tune with her musical power as she sang and the friendship magic they've generated shot into the air and unleashed an array of fireworks in the shapes of their individual Cutie Marks (symbolizing their friendship and Hitch and Misty finally earning each other's trust after the events involving Opaline and her motives involving Sparky's Dragon Fire and what she planned to do after she obtained it and got rid of him).

Meloetta's singing is so beautiful and Hitch, Misty, and Edge along with Princess Sarah and Race are just as wonderful with their musical number

Bowing with an "'Ole!", after completing her aria with Relic Song, she underwent her change into her Pirouette Forme in which, compared to her Aria Forme (that allows her to sing beautiful songs), she can perform graceful dances (her looks also changing with her now having auburn hair in a stylized high bun with auburn eyes to match and her dress unfurled into a skirt to suit her more graceful and athletic dancing style).

"Let's party!"

Everybody cheered loudly for the encore as Meloetta soon began to invite everybody to a special dance she had in mind to close off her serenade and to have fun while doing so. For the royal family, their friends, and the wild Pokemon gathered along with Meowth and Wobbuffet, it was a night full of music and fun that none of them will be forgetting for the rest of their lives (especially for the royal family as they smiled at seeing how far the little princess had come in the last two years and after overcoming so many challenges and learning about the tragedy of her family's previous lives in stride).
