this looks like it might be a good story so i'm gonna track it for now
nice I think I am the first like and comment I don't play DND but I like the Lore and watch some videos about it and from what I get Charters don't tend to reach level 20 and such that much so is the Max level or NOT OP because by the time your level 20, you would have so much gold and items you'd be able to pull off some crazy stuff.
also what Class is this guy Wizard? because if so I wanna see what kind of reactions the ponies are gonna have at DND magic

i tend to listen to Dnd stories so i got some idea of the power level and i know there are some pretty cool low-level spells like Absorb Elements and scorching ray that bring a cool fight scene to mind
I've always wanted to try doing a 'Human becomes a DnD Red Dragon' story, but never could due to how over complicated DnD is.

Nice to see a safe starting, I quite like the in-universe die rolling, allowing our new pal Ignis to have extra anticipation whenever he does anything.
I'm looking forward to when he does something entirely mundane, only to have the world stop and he starts seeing his bonuses appear before him, and he is thinking to himself "Oh no, oh no, what did I do?" only for nothing interesting to happen because it was a random Perception check that the DM he doesn't know about wanted him to roll just to mess with him.
Also, why does Ignis have 2 feats? At level 3? Is that a part of a home rule thing?
I’m getting a Baldur's Gate 3 dice roll mechanic vibe so far.

I'll be honest the feats are the one little cheat I gave him. Warcaster is basically required for his subclass and I needed him to have acrobatics proficiency.
I wouldn't worry about it too much, he's gunna need all the help he can get :P. Dnd is alot harder in a party of 1

Tbf about the "Apple Jack" thing, I thought it was just a "this is what Ignis thought she was saying, believing it to be 2 words" type of thing.
Nice to see his first ever attack is a crit, but unfortunately his first chosen enemy is literally a corrupted goddess of Dreams, The Moon and The Night Sky.
I've just thought, if he gets to have a musical number when he activates Bladesong, that would be pretty cool.
Are musical numbers a mechanic in this version of the universe?
Addition: Do any of the other characters count as PCs mechanically (in the same way as Ignis)? Are the Mane Six PCs?

As for the PC thing, nah. I had a few ideas of how I want to handle the dnd things in the story and I'm basically just going to constrain the reality warping to just him, no one else will have die rolls unless under very specific situations

I honestly didn't even feel like I was being fast. The longest part of this chapter for me was getting Ignis out of the barn. Also each one is only like a thousand words. To actually answer you tho, none of its pre-written :D

I'm fine with you taking what time you need, you have currently released N chapters in N-1 days, which is much faster than many other stories even if they are longer chapters.
I'm fine with you taking a bit longer if it is necessary.

No worries on being addicted to a game, it happens.
It's nice to see his reaction to the Honesty test's outcome of Applejack asking to just trust her, and now he's getting a bit of a tutorial on how to properly use his stuff.
Also, I've created a character to take a look at alongside Ignis' journey, to see how a different character would work out in the same situation.

I've taken another look at Ignis' character sheet, and just realised exactly how well you must have rolled for those stats.
I assume that you are using the Tasha's rules for racial bonuses (I expect +2 is to INT to get the 20 at level 3, and the +1 could be to DEX which works with the Skill Expert Feat to get it to 19)
That is some insane base rolls if so, as that would mean you got the following with no bonuses:
18, 17, 15, 15, 13, 13
That is a very powerful setup.

After/if we get thru NMM and the elder red dragon those stats are.... a bit much
Nice to see another chapter of this. Hopefully Ignis can stall NMM long enough for the Mane 6 to get there (hopefully the Harmony Tests are still panning out as they should, giving Twilight the experiences she needs to understand the Elements.

Yeah... Motivation is a bitch haha. I've actually mostly had the entire next chapter planned out in my head since chapter 1, but getting thru episode 1 & 2 was an unexpected slog, might be easier for me to just go off script and throw the canon events and timeline to the wayside to keep from being repetitive/boring
