Lunar audience pt 2

[Twilight V.O.: Last time on Alicorn King]

"Umbra!!!!!!!!" Was what Alex heard upon waking.

"Oh crap baskets mom saw that." Tempe said as Luna's voice could be heard from canterlot. "Whatever your dream was about to piss Mom off to the point where she broke pretty much every non-reinforced window in the city."

"Ow!" Alex said from his sensitive ears ringing from the shout.

Alex looked at Tempe and said, "I had a nightmare about the last time I saw my Father."

Tempe suddenly felt like her stomach was revolting on her. "Urp!!!" Was heard as she threw up a large scroll. "I forgot about that little feature." She groaned as the scroll with a black ribbon in a silver moon wax seal floated over to Alex on a blue aura.

Alex took the scroll from the aura and looked at the wax seal and his eyebrows rose in surprise. "Now why would Princess Luna send me mail?" He mused. Looking Outside, he noted it was still nighttime. Might as well get reset myself to nocturnal and get up and about" He mused. He carefully walked down to the kitchen and poured some breakfast cereal then added milk. "It's odd to find a refrigerator that doesn't use freon and electricity." He mused, before grabbing a spoon, he then said, "Tempe, Tomorrow night five hundred-twenty-five thestrals are coming out of the stasis Nightmare Moon put them in when they refused to join her in her little revolt. Could you ask your mother to take your Aunt & Cousin to be in the crystal mine under Canterlot to great them? I'm sure they would be grateful if their patronage co-sovereign was there to great them." He then took a couple more bites before breaking the seal and opened the scroll and read the missive.

"Alex, if you're reading this then you recognize the dream you had having been to your world. I understand the context of this man, your father, must have been the one stallion I saw fighting against Sombra during the battle to retake the Crystal empire." The note read. Luna being less formal than one would expect with this. "I saved him, the being controlling Sombra stabbed him through the gut with a corrupting Crystal. The only way I could save him though was to transform him. He now rests in the Crystal caves underneath Canterlot in stasis, the first bat pony I recruited, my greatest fighter, my closest friend. When they awake he will need your guidance. Let your father know that I am returned to my senses. I do not, I cannot be there to meet him not after what I did and now know. I'm sorry my son, I truly am sorry."

Alex sank to his knees in shock. "My father's alive and a Thestral." He quietly spoke. The joy filled his soul welled up until he shouted in joy, "HE'S ALIVE!!!!!" Alex's shout was just under the volume of the Royal Canterlot Voice but from the sounds of shattering you couldn't be sure. Alex grabbed Tempe and released tears that have been held back for years. Tears of sorrow and pain had been morphed to tears of relief, happiness and joy.
