If you are intrigued by the premise, Lupine Tree has a similar one about awakening as a tree that feasts on life essence and going from there. Has some pretty decent world building and a neat in universe explanation for what actually happened which I'm always fond of. Unfortunately the author left the site years ago and I don't think he's coming back.

Interesting and curious as to what this guy actually eats. Is he just necrotised and the leaves are painful or does the tree hate positive energy. Does it feed off life or carcasses. Also when he takes over something does it rot away or keep up via the trees energies.

Quite a strange and fun setup friend. Would love to read more and already hooked.

Alrighty, so... I saw the title/description/tags and thought the premise sounded cool, but my experience with transformation isekais on this site have not been... stellar. However, then I saw the author and decided to give this one a chance. We'll see how it turns out...

Brushing off such considerations for the moment I decided to focus myself downward next, as I wasn't quite ready to look around. There I discovered many deep, thick roots that felt like they went down all the way to china. China I could sense that these veins were strong enough to shift the very earth they were confined within, though I didn't have the power to do so at the moment.

As this is the name of a specific place, it should be capitalized

Air currents were less easy to pick up then THAN the larger, heavier ground bound vibrations, though that might have been due to my wilted leaves. Half closed as they were, the things struggled to pick up the more subtle, fast moving waves which traveled above the ground. Either way it was enough that I could imagine my surroundings in a more complete manner, including the pond which wasn't as empty as I had first thought.

If I can find a lake or stream I could water myself. I thought rather triumphantly. I could even ensure no upstatart trees grow next to me and steal my sunlight.
