My only real issue here is your inconsistencies regarding their terminology for slip-space travel and Long Night of Solas. Is he an ancilla or a forerunner? Regardless, both are above showing sentimentality or externally noticeable emotion.
Other than those semi-minor issues this is quite interesting and very well written; I would love to see more.
