Have to say, the story was a bit too rushed, but I DO like the imagination that went into it. And, yeah, the altered events that created something similar to, but still different from, the Sonic Rainboom were well shown. I especially liked Fluttershy saving Rainbow Dash with a little help from adult Twilight as well as the "Magical Mystery Cure" Mythology Gag concerning Rarity's Cutie Mark story. And, Twilight - err, Twinkle Dusk, basically became a much less jerkish, SLIGHTLY toned-down Discord for all intents and purposes (i.e. combining Pinkie's personality with her pre-existing magic). And, even considering Starlight's remorse (and her mocking herself in that remorse), Twilight is being a bit TOO forgiving, EVEN FOR HER.
Still, for as short as this one-shot is, the action, characterizations and possible-sequel set-up ARE well done in all the right places.
Well, that happened.
...I was liking this turn of events up until the end, there... I mean, Fluttershy? A BAMF? Talk about a wicked story! But then... That happened... What even is that?

Ok then. Here's what I think each of their cutie marks mean.
-Fluttershy is a good flyer
-Pinkie can use magic
-Applejack hasn't changed much
-Rarity is like a successful version of her role in 'Magical Mystery Cure'
-Twi is like a less jerky Discord
-Rainbow's an inventor/designer

-Twilight/Twinkle is meant to represent Pinkie Pie's original incarnation
-Pinkie Pie CAN use magic, but she's limited to levitation. She'll have magic confetti breath that mirrors Spike's magic
-Rainbow Dash becomes a fashion designer, and HER family now owns the Carousel Boutique, while Rarity's family lives next-door to the Golden Oak Library. I designed Rainbow Dash like her G3 counterpart, which is what lead to Rarity's new backstory
Other than that, you're pretty much on it!

I get what you're saying about Twilight becoming Starlight's adoptive mother, but I actually found that in a comic and I kind of liked the idea and wanted to use it. Her staying in the past to do that is actually what caused her original filly self to change into Twinkle Dusk. As the story progresses, I'll try and tone the pace down as much as possible. I just got the idea and was super excited to share it.

Ok, the first two make sense. But, Rainbow being a fashion designer? Really!? I just can't see it. I mean, she made a wing prosthetic essentially. Why that?

I can imagine it was a very fancy-looking pillow case. As I said, I wanted Rainbow Dash in this AU to mirror her G3 incarnation (she originally was going to have her wings amputated to further sell this idea). So, while she is more on a fashionista than in the show, she still retains most of her G4 personality.
