The legends of old tell of a winged beast that ravaged Equestria for centuries, spreading chaos and terror wherever it went. Many believed them to be the things of myth, a story for parents to scare bad little foals, nothing more. They ignored the signs, trotting about oblivious to their eminent danger. Their apathy will surely be their undoing, but there is hope. The fate of Equestria rests on the shoulders of one mare, for she was chosen by the gods to bring light to Equestria's second dark age.

So this is almost like Skyrim, except with ponies and manticores? Because the description vaguely sounds like what happened in Skyrim (Nords ignored that the dragons were back, one man stops them).

997523 I can see where you would make that connection, but it was never intended to be associated with Skyrim. However, this story was inspired by it but will have next to nothing to do with the Elder Scrolls. Twilight's not manticore born, she won't be absorbing their souls or something silly like that. That may be why this is flopping so hard, everyone assumes by the description that I took Skyrim and said 'you're a pony and you're a pony". :facehoof:

Yeah, but still, good idea. I give it a thumb up and a track.

Nit picking powers activate! XD Just kidding.
"No problem Two, let me just put my bags in here." * I bet ya meant Twi
The punctuation's not that bad. There are places they could be but I don't think they're necessary. I could be wrong though. I'm probably wrong.

999585 Yep that my Kindle's magic sabotage powers rearing it's ugly head. :twilightblush: Note to self: add every pony related word to Kindle's dictionary right now.

I sure hope Twi can save them. Otherwise, I'm prepared to send Gandalf the White in to save the day. He says: "Look to my coming, at first light, on the fifth day. At dawn, look to the East."

Then Gandalf says this to Greynor:
You cannot pass! I am a servant of the Secret Fire, wielder of the Flame of Anor. The dark fire will not avail you, Flame of Udun! Go back to the shadow. You shall not pass!

997703 Though seriously, the description sounds similar to the Skyrim trailer. You know, when Esbern says, " You should have acted.
They're already here.
The Elder Scrolls told of their return.
Their defeat was merely a delay
Til the time after Oblivion opened*,
When the sons of Skyrim would spill their own blood.*
But no one wanted to believe.*
Believe they even existed.*
And when the truth finally dawns:
It dawns in fire.
But,
There's one they fear.
In their tongue, he is Dovahkiin:
Dragon Born!

*All have vague similarities to parts of your description.
