Chapter 21 Villains United Part 2

"What did she just say?" Scar Flank said just as surprised as anypony else in the room with the exception of Dr. Arachnid. "She's your sister?!"

"Yes. My twin sister," Dr. Arachnid answered rather coldly.

"Huh, you know those 2 actually do look a lot alike," Prank Master said.

"I just kinda figured that you were an obsessive fan or somepony she used to date until she dumped you," Weather Warper said. "So this really begs the question why in Equestria do you want revenge on your own sister?"

"All right fine you want to know I'll let you. We were very young and around the same age-"

"Uh your twins so isn't it already implied that you're around the same age?" Pony Ivy asked.

"LET ME FINISH!" Dr. Arachnid yelled.

"He doesn't like to be interrupted," Emo Pony said.

"Or corrected," Sapphire Shores whispered to herself remembering that was a habit he had way back when she and him were very young.

"As I was saying when we were both young around the same age or rather time I guess is a better word when we got our cutie marks. Her talent became singing and music in general while I found my talent in inventing things."

"Makes sense," Weather Warper whispered to Gentleman Thief.

"I was one of the smartest ponies around but no matter what I did she always got the attention. No matter how hard I tried I could never get ponies to notice me, not when she was involved. She always had the spotlight. Even our parents always treated her like the golden child."

"That wasn't true," Sapphire said, trying to reason with her brother.

"Oh no, Ruby don't stay in your room all day go outside and play like Sapphire. Ruby, why can't you make friends at school like Sapphire. Ruby why can't you just be more like your sister SAPPHIRE!"

His name is Ruby, Super Stallion thought to himself.

"I devoted just about all I was to proving myself through scientific study. That's where I got the idea for these metallic spider legs, so I could work much faster as well as give it to the disabled. But 1 night, I was working insanely hard, pushing myself in a small lab that I managed to set up in an abandoned warehouse. I was working with a dangerously explosive chemical and I hadn’t slept in days and was getting sloppy. So I screwed up resulting in a big explosion, that's why this metal thing is stuck on my back. And despite my long hospital stay I never got any visitors because during that time a certain somepony started another musical tour. Coincidence, I think bot!"

"Ruby please-"

"Don't call me that!" Dr. Arachnid said as he approached his sister who was still struggling to get free in the corner. "Even before my accident you and I were never close. You barely talked to me after you discovered your talent. 1 time when we were teens you pulled a knife on me after you broke an invention in front of your friends. I was working on it for weeks." Dr. Arachnid then made a knife come out of one of his metallic legs. "You swung it around like it was a toy."

"I wasn't really going to use it," Sapphire said. "I broke your invention by mistake. I just wanted to move it off the table and it slipped out of my hooves. I tried to explain but you were screaming at me and embarrassing me in front of my friends. I pulled it out to get you to back off. I wasn't really going to use it. You were acting like such a brat I just wanted to scare you." Dr. Arachnid then lunged the knife at his sister, making her scream and shocking everypony in the room. But he stabbed next to her.

"It worked!" Dr. Arachnid then pulled back the knife very satisfied with giving her a taste of her own medicine and then
placed the gag back on. "This gag stays on, got it." Sapphire then nodded her head and Dr. Arachnid approached Super Stallion. "And now the moment we've all been waiting for, the true identity of Super Stallion." All the villains gathered but when Dr. Arachnid tried to pull off what he thought was his mask nothing happened.

"Ow! Ow! What are you trying to do? Pull my face off? Well I got news for you you can't it's on too tight."

"It's not coming off," Scar Flank said, shocked.

"It's not a mask?" Dr. Arachnid said as he backed up confused. "This can't be, it has to be a mask." The villains couldn't believe it.

Thank goodness they don't know how the sphere works, but I need to figure out how to get these roots off me and stop them before they really start making trouble.

"I know maybe there's a zipper on his back or something like it's a whole costume," Prank Master said.

"Oh yeah right like it's something he just puts on and suddenly it makes him a superhero how is that anyway realistic?" Dr. Arachnid asked.

"About as realistic as a flying earth pony." After Prank Master made her good point Gentleman Thief approached them.

"Now now my fellow comrades, it would be best not to battle among ourselves. We still have several matters to deal with at the moment."

"He's right, we need to make sure the royal guard can't break through before we get our ransom. Eyes on the bits everypony!"

"Are you sure the princesses won't be able to escape?" Emo Pony asked Prank Master who was the one that managed to capture both of them.

"Oh yeah don't worry I used the best equipment and magic to make sure those 2 stay put." Princess Celestia who was not too far away was on the next floor struggling to get free but it was no use. Prank Master snuck up on her and hit her with a strange black liquid twice. The 1st hit got her wings and forelegs while the 2nd got her back legs. Prank Master then jumped on the princess to put on a magic canceling collar and a gag then teleported her away.

"You're absolutely sure about it?" Pony Ivy asked.

"Trust me, Orchard Blossom. That magic canceling collar and my special rubber glue will make extra sure she stays put." Not too far away Princess Celestia was able to overhear.

Rubber? Of course, no wonder I can't get free when I try to break this black goo, it just stretches out. At least Luna isn't in an uncomfortable position as I am. Princess Celestia then looked over to her sister who was still sleeping. Prank Master made her way to Princess Luna first who was still taking a nap so she cast a spell on her to make sure she would stay asleep. For good measure she also put a sound proof bubble around her bed and teleported the whole thing to where the other villains were. With my sister and I as well as Super Stallion unable to help I can only hope that you are able to somehow learn about all this and help us, Twilight.

The large group Scar Flank had brought over were doing an excellent job making sure that no guards were able to slip by and try to rescue the princesses. Emo Pony was keeping an eye on Super Stallion while also making a couple more of his spheres in case he'd have to use them. "A couple more of these and I think we can put anypony that tries to come at us at bay. Though that would be a lot easier if my special sphere worked on you."

"Oh boo hoo for you," Super Stallion said, still unable to get free. "I feel so sorry for the stallion that tried to brainwash me."

"Well it's nice to know that you still have your sense of humor even in an utterly hopeless situation," Emo Pony said.

"Utterly hopeless? Now who's the one with the sense of humor? I've beaten you all before and I can do it again."

"As I recall you only stopped me with help from Princess Celestia and Captain Stone Wall, now the former is our prisoner and the latter is gone. You also needed help to stop Pony Ivy from what he told us as.”

“Plus you never actually stopped me,” Scar Flank said. “You just stopped my robbery at the bank.”

"You may have stopped us on our own, but together we’ve managed to stand our ground. Face the fact, you failed."

"If I can take down the spirit of chaos and disharmony I can stop little more than half a dozen ponies and 1 changeling."

"That's the queen of the changelings to you!" Chrysalis said as she flew right in Super Stallion's face. "And once my business here is done I shall be returning to my hive and I'll be getting back at the ponies that wronged me." Chrysalis then made her way to a nearby window to look for any guards getting too close.

"I guess I can understand Prank Master because she's a hoof full all on her own, but why did you get her involved?"

"She's a changeling, you can't see how that could help us out in a few scenarios?" Emo Pony asked.

"That's not what I mean. What do you think she's going to do when she's done helping you?"

"Well, I guess she's going to return to all the other changelings back wherever they live like she said she would."

"Yeah, where she'll probably plan another invasion on Equestria. What exactly is stopping her from doing that again when she returns?" Emo Pony said nothing but made his way over to the others.

"Hey uh Super Stallion just made a good point that I feel like I should share. When Queen Chrysalis returns to the other changelings, what if she leads another attack? It'll kind of be our fault since we were the ones that got her out of prison."

"So what?" Scar Flank asked. "Since when did you start caring about Equestria?"

"Well it's just that I mean, we kinda helped Discord get free and he almost made Equestria a land of utter randomness. So if the changelings succeed or almost succeed in taking over that's kinda going to be on us as well."

"Well if you ask me Equestria could learn to toughen up a little more," Scar Flank responded again. "Actually a lot more and if it has to deal with an invasion or a chaos makeover once in a while fine. It makes no difference to me."

"Though it would be quite the thrill to help fight off an entire invading army," Weather Warper said as she was relaxing on a small cloud she made while they were waiting for the guards to empty out the treasury.

"HEY CHRYSALIS DO CHANGELINGS EAT PLANTS!" Pony Ivy yelled out.

"No, we feed off the emotions of other creatures."

"An invasion is fine by me," Pony Ivy said as he walked off to spread a couple more giant roots.

"Ah my comrades, perhaps we are having trouble visualizing the full picture of a most likely circumstance to come."

"Oh please Gentleman Thief Equestria doesn't care about us so why should we care about it?" Dr. Arachnid asked.

"Uh what do you think Prank Master?" Emo Pony asked.

"Pudding," she quickly answered.

"I beg your pardon."

"I think about pudding. Like a lot I've got pudding on the head I'm like that one pony whose name I can't quite recall."

"Okay," Emo Pony awkwardly replied.

"Yeah I don't know what fried her brain but whatever it was it fried it real good," Super Stallion said. "Listen you all may have some issues with Equestria but it's still your home. Your country."

"For most of us anyway," Queen Chrysalis whispered to herself.

"Oh so you're saying that we should respect our surroundings," Pony Ivy jumped in. "That's coming from the Super Stallion that tried to burn down all the wonderful plants I made in the Badlands."

"It was just a little fire. I only wanted to distract you. I didn't want to burn them, I actually thought they looked nice."

"You did?" Pony Ivy asked, touched.

"Yes I can tell you worked really hard making all those."

"Ah geez thanks I do take pride in my work even before my…environmental makeover I cared a lot about the environment."

"Speaking of which I've been wondering what the whole deal with that is," Super Stallion said.

"Oh well actually it's kind of a funny story, I was experimenting with plants trying to help them grow faster and I made a formula that I thought could not only help plants but ponies as well and when I tried it on myself well, this happened."

"And the cape?" Super Stallion asked.

"When I transformed I became more plant-like and made that cape to help me absorb sunlight better. Have you ever felt like making something?"

"WILL YOU STOP HAVING A CASUAL CONVERSATION WITH THE ENEMY!" Dr. Arachnid yelled out.

"You know you've been getting really bossy ever since we all started working together," Weather Warper said after coming off her cloud.

"Somepony has to make sure you all don't screw up."

"And what makes you think you're the most qualified to lead us," Scar Flank said, getting in Dr. Arachnid's face. "This entire thing wasn't all your plan!"

"It wasn't all your idea either!" Dr. Arachnid retorted, pushing Scar Flank back a little.

"Yeah it was Gentleman Thief, he's the mastermind," Pony Ivy said, starting to get in the fight as well.

"Not exactly my plant loving comrade you all thought excellent plans with minor flaws. I simply suggested that we combined all of yours as a means of formulating a plan that would lead to defeating Super Stallion, and as you can all see it went swimmingly."

"I guess he's right in the end we won and that's all that matters," Weather Warper said. "That and deciding to put me in charge."

"You!" Dr. Arachnid said, almost laughing. "Just what makes you think that you can lead us!"

"He's right you're easily the most reckless out of all of us," Emo Pony joined in. "Except maybe Prank Master."

"Don't worry I found the pudding." Weather Warper then got in Emo Pony's face making him fall down from the surprise.

"How about I shove those spheres right down your throat!?"

"QUIET!" Chrysalis said, getting the attention of the others as she stomped down right in front of all of them. "If you all don't cease your worthless bickering so help me-"

"Um in all fairness not all of us were participating in such behavior so-"

"I said QUIET!" Chrysalis interrupted Gentleman Thief. "If you want to fight among yourselves, save it for later. Until then knock it off so I can hear myself think." Chrysalis then went back to the window as she rubbed her head a little bit.

These bad guys sure get distracted easily, Super Stallion thought to himself. That gives me an idea.

"We can't really just give all these bits to those criminals can we Captain Armor?" A guard asked as they were emptying the royal treasury.

"I don't think we have a choice.”

"I don't know captain," the 2nd guard there said. "I mean if Stone Wall was here-"

"Stone Wall isn't here!" Shining Armor interrupted angrily.

"I wish your hot sister was here she could think of something," the 3rd guard said

"What?"

"Your smart sister! She's so smart she could think up a plan because she's so smart!" The 3rd guard quickly responded rather embarrassedly.

"Right, well sad to say but I doubt even Twily can think up what to do about all this."

"Don't count me out just yet," Twilight said, getting the attention of all the guards.

"Twily! What are you doing here?" Shining Armor asked surprised and concerned at the same time.

“I came to visit the princess and heard about everything.”

"You gotta get out of here, it's dangerous."

"Not just yet, I have an idea. And if you all help it'll be all the more guaranteed to work."

"Really!" The 3 guards behind Shining Armor said in unison but Shining Armor himself said nothing.

"Twily this is serious, this isn't just some test that you can retake if you fail."

"I did play a major part in saving the Crystal Empire and your almost wedding, give me some credit. Speaking of which, weren't you and Cadance put in charge there, why are you here?"

"Well Princess Celestia wants me to stay here until she can find another new captain of the royal guard."

"So what exactly is your plan, Twilight?" The 2nd guard.

"I'll explain on the way, follow me," Twilight answered and then ran off with her brother close behind.

"Twilight don't run off!" Shining Armor ordered as he quickly ran behind with the 3 guards right behind him.

His sister is so hot, the 2nd guard thought as he kept running.

Queen Chrysalis was still looking out the window when suddenly Prank Master approached her and tapped her shoulder. When she looked at Prank Master she was surprised to see that she had the tiny crown Chrysalis always wore. "When did you?" Chrysalis stopped when she felt her head and the crown was still there.

"When is a rather appropriate word, why don't you ask her?" Prank Master pointed to Prank Master which utterly shocked Chrysalis.

"Are you one of my changelings?"

"Nope, go on and ask me what I'm doing." Chrysalis then approached the other Prank Master who was tinkering with something.

"Um, what are you doing?"

"I'm working on a time portal, a portable time portal, a portable portal."

"Did you just say a time portal?"

"Yes, do you think you can help me with something?"

"I think I may have already done just that." By this time the other bad guys had noticed that there were 2 Prank Masters and greatly wondered how in Equestria they did not notice such a thing before.

"Did she duplicate herself?" Weather Warper asked.

"Uh, is that a thing unicorns can do?" Dr. Arachnid asked, turning towards Scar Flank.

"Not usually," he retorted. "I mean it's been done but not just every unicorn can do that."

"Though there is this legend I heard a while ago about a magic pool that can create copies of those that say this special chant," Emo Pony said.

"Can I borrow that cute little crown of yours? If this goes well you'll get it back before you even give it to me." Chrysalis then gave Prank Master the tiny crown and she backed up a bit to get ready to use her latest toy. "I really hope this works."

"Don't worry it will," Prank Master said to Prank Master.

"Oh that's good to know thanks," Prank Master said back to Prank Master.

"You're welcome now hurry up and quit talking to yourself." After both Prank Masters laughed, the past one prepared to leap through time but not too far.

"I can't wait to tell myself that one," Prank Master said as she suddenly disappeared and the villains as well as Super Stallion and Sapphire Shores were greatly surprised.

"Wait, where did she go?" Weather Warper asked.

"Right here! I made it through time. I was a little nervous but I was able to let myself know it would go great."

"You can go back in time! Unbelievable, can you bring others with you?" Scar Flank asked, already thinking about the possibilities he could do with something like that.

"How were you able to make something like that?" Dr. Arachnid asked and soon the others gathered around Prank Master who rather liked the attention wanting to know more and more about what recently happened.

All right time they’re distracted, time to get a move on, Super Stallion thought as he summoned up some energy to make a big blizzard spell.

"Did it get colder in here?" Prank Master asked. Suddenly the other villains noticed it was getting much colder as well and before they knew it it felt like they were in subzero temperature. "Yeah I'm pretty sure it got colder in here."

"It's Super Stallion!" Pony Ivy called out. "Weather Warper quick, do something he's trying to freeze my roots and get free!"

"More than that, hey Prank Master, how are you on riddles?"

"Uh, not very good but I'll try to solve it. What ya got?"

"I do, what happens when you freeze rubber?"

"Oh wait I know this one though that's not much of a riddle. When rubber is frozen, it loses…its flexibility…uh oh."

With the general temperature lowered the rubber glue that kept Princess Celestia trapped froze stiff and she was able to finally break free. After removing the magic canceling collar right off she flew straight at all the villains who conveniently gathered together while charging up her magic for a spell.

"Uh oh, again," Prank Master said before she and the other rogues were blasted by a powerful beam of magic that shattered them around the room.

"Wow you sent them flying in different directions, nice work."

"Ah whs gumma sm te ang." Princess Celestia then realized she forgot to remove her gag. "I was gonna say the same thing to you. That was clever thinking using that spell to free us both."

"Unfortunately that was all I could do to help me. I've been poisoned." Before Princess Celestia could respond the villains all got back up and some of the goons showed up as well thinking they should help. Suddenly Sapphire Shores, still bound and gagged and Princess Luna still asleep in her bed, were teleported right next to Princess Celestia. "Get them out of here while you can then they won't have any hostages."

"What about you?"

"Somepony has to make sure they don't cause any more trouble at the castle. I'll hold them off with what little energy I have left."

"I'm not leaving you behind," Princess Celestia responded sternly.

"Well isn't that noble," Scar Flank said in a mocking tone. "Just makes it easy for us to capture all of you before any of you are able to escape."

"Don't count me out just yet and don't count my sister out either." Princess Celestia then popped the sound proof magic bubble around Princess Luna's bed.

"Don't bother," Prank Master called out. "I used a special spell that makes sure she'll stay asleep."

"Oh really?" Princess Celestia asked as she quickly performed a spell that was able to make her sister wake up right away.

"What in Equestria but how? That spell is one of my best?" Princess Luna was quickly able to come to her senses when she felt how cold it was.

"What time is it? Why is it so cold? Why is there snow in the castle? Why is my bed not in my chambers? Celestia, did you ponynap a pop star again? What are they all doing here?"

"ATTACK!" Dr. Arachnid ordered and the villains charged. Super Stallion attacked quickly again using all the current energy he had to make a force field around him, Sapphire Shores, and the princesses. Scar Flank however was quickly able to break through the shield easily. After that, Weather Warper spun around to get rid of all the snow and ice that Super Stallion brought into the room.

With the snow and ice gone Pony Ivy summoned more roots that wrapped around the room but Princess Luna used her magic beams to cut the roots. Princess Celestia was keeping the villains at bay while also protecting Sapphire Shores and Super Stallion.

"Surround them and attack from all sides," Dr. Arachnid ordered. "Prank Master trap them again."

"Okay here's rubber glue in your everything." Prank Master then tried to recapture Princess Celestia but she countered with a barrier.

"You can't catch me again that easily. I'm not just a pretty princess that needs rescuing all the time."

"You could have fooled me," Chrysalis said.

"I'm actually glad these troublemakers went through the trouble of bringing you on board with their plan. You and I have a score to settle."

"Oh my, are you trying to be intimidating? Because it's not working." Queen Chrysalis then fired a magic beam at Princess Celestia who countered with one of her own. "That's not going to be enough to stop me."

"I was just going to say the exact same thing to you, stink bug." Chrysalis became enraged and quickly tried to push her beam forward. Meanwhile Weather Warper tried to outfly Princess Luna and blast her with her staff but she was surprisingly able to match Weather Warper's flying skills.

"Stand still already!"

"Oh right, I think I'll do just that. Sounds like a great strategy." Luna then used a flash spell blinding Weather Warper and made her crash into a wall. "I'd imagine that is quite embarrassing."

"It was," Weather Warper said as she got herself off the wall. Princess Luna then flew over to her sister who knew exactly what she was planning. The royal pony sisters placed their horns together for a combo spell that pushed back Chrysalis.

"NO!" Scar Flank yelled as he blasted spell after spell that the princesses effortlessly blocked with barriers. "Circle them and surround them!"

"No we should charge them all from the same spot," Dr. Arachnid said to Scar Flank's annoyance.

"Who cares where we attack, just keep at it and wear them down," Weather Warper said.

"Use a lot of different types of attacks to confuse them and catch them off guard," Queen Chrysalis said, who managed to get up.

"Does anypony want some of my pudding? I'm pretty full?" Prank Master asked but all she got in response was angry glares. "What?"

"Emo Pony, why don't you hit one of the princesses with those emotion balls?" Pony Ivy asked.

"What do you think I've been trying to do? They either block it with some kind of spell or they just dodge it. Why aren't you getting more giant roots to help us?"

"Most are being used to keep the guards at bay. I was only able to plant so many special seeds around the castle when we started this whole big combo plan of ours."

"Perhaps we eliminate this matter by tackling and restraining the targets 1 by 1," Gentleman Thief said.

"Ya mean just go at them one at a time? But who do we go after first?"

"Who do you think, Weather Warper!?" Scar Flank snapped. "The one that hardly has a leg to stand on."

"Try to separate the royal pony sisters too," Dr. Arachnid added. "Divine and conquer."

"Stop contradicting me!" Scar Flank snapped.

"I'm not contradicting you, I'm adding!" Dr. Arachnid snapped back. "And somepony grab Sapphire, the more hostages the better!"

"Since I'm right next to you I've been wondering why she is here exactly?" Princess Luna asked.

"She was another hostage and she's the sister of the pony with the metal spider legs," Super Stallion answered.

"Your own sister? Well I suppose in all fairness I shouldn't be too harsh on him for that."

"Uh yes sister, but no need to go into that." Suddenly the sisters were attacked on just about all sides but they were more than capable of defending themselves. However they found out too late that they were just being distracted while Pony Ivy used a plant root to grab Super Stallion and Sapphire Shores.

"2 hostages are better than 1!" Pony Ivy called out very happy.

"Put them down!" Princess Celestia ordered.

"We call the shots princess," Pony Ivy said. "Surrender now or they both get it."

"No, don't!" Super Stallion called out. "I'll get us free, I just need a minute." Super Stallion struggled to do what he said but it was no use, the poison was too strong. Princess Celestia and Princess Luna were just about to surrender when suddenly a large smoke cloud appeared in the room, shocking everpony.

"What's going on?" Emo Pony asked.

"Nothing I can't handle," Weather Warper said. But when she tried to clear the smoke she was hit by a stun spell. Weather Warper fell but managed to land safely. Afterwards a group of royal guards attacked from out of the cloud surprising the villains and raising the hopes of the princesses. Sapphires Shores and Super Stallion were cut free from the roots in the distraction by a purple beam and the unicorn that fired it ran straight towards them.

"Twilight?"

"Drink this." Twilight then inconspicuously gave Super Stallion a drink that she put within a vile and he drank it right away. But afterward Twilight was grabbed by a plant root.

"All right now we have 3 hostages," Pony Ivy said. When suddenly Twilight was freed when the plant root was hit by an ice spell and then shattered.

"I don't think so, Pony Ivy." Super Stallion grabbed Twilight mid fall and placed her next to Sapphire Shores who he quickly freed as well. "All right, good to finally be back at 100% at last."

"What? But that can't be, the poison couldn't have worn off yet."

"I guess my immune system is super as well." Super Stallion then charged at Pony Ivy who was nowhere near fast or strong enough to do something before he was slammed into the wall and knocked out.

"No no not this now," Scar Flank said, getting more and more frustrated. "Now we have to deal with this, do something!"

"Uh who exactly are you talking to?" Prank Master asked.

"Anypony!"

"Okay." Prank Master then used a series of spells and a gadget or 2 to stop most of the royal guards that managed to get in with Twilight. "How's that?"

"Very good," Scar Flank said, surprised. "Keep the good work."

"Not on my watch," Shining Armor said as he attacked Prank Master but Scar Flank decided to get in the way.

"I think the first thing we need to do is get rid of the guards."

"Don't think I'll go down as easy as the others. I'm the captain of the royal guard." Shining Armor then gave Scar Flank a mean left hook who gave Shining Armor a left hook of his own that knocked him down.

"The old captain hit much harder."

"Oa! It is so great to finally be able to talk and move again," Sapphire Shores said as she kicked her legs to stretch them a bit.

"Right now let's get you out of here," Super Stallion said after slamming Pony Ivy to the wall.

"No!" Sapphire Shores said to Super Stallion's major surprise. "Let me try to reason with Ruby."

"Uh, I think that ship may have sailed."

"Please Super Stallion! Please let me try!" Super Stallion saw the giant amount of determination in her eyes.

"All right but stay close to me."

"You got it super hunk." Super Stallion then picked up the pony of pop and flew over to where Dr. Arachnid was who had defeated several royal guards.

"Keep it up there's not that many guards left then we can deal with the major problems," Dr. Arachnid called out.

"Couldn't we just take the guards as hostages?" Emo Pony asked.

"There's still too many ponies not on our side running around that could rescue them, especially the literal superhero," Weather Warper answered. She then tried to summon a powerful storm cloud but Princess Luna got rid of it. Meanwhile Princess Celestia was fighting with Chrysalis. While she was doing that Twilight had made her way to Emo Pony who was trying to wake Pony Ivy but he was out like a light.

"This isn't good without him, the plant roots aren't going to keep more guards from getting here. Come on, come on, wake up." Emo Pony then noticed Twilight was about to attack and countered a spell of hers. "Wow, that was a close one."

"Not bad but try to counter these." Twilight then unleashed a series of powerful spells Emo Pony tried his best to counter and block but Twilight was clearly the more talented when it came to magic. Before long Twilight had him pinned into a corner and blasted Emo Pony right through a wall knocking him out cold. "Whoops went a little too far, guess I don't know my own power."

"Been there done that Twilight," Super Stallion said. Super Stallion made short work of a group of unicorns that tried to grab Sapphire and she was prepared to approach her brother. She was very nervous but this was something she had to do.

"Please, Ruby."

"I told you not to call me that! Don't act like you suddenly care about me, you never did."

"That's not true, I love you even after all the things that you've recently done. But you can't keep doing this, it's insanity you are going to get locked up for the rest of your life. Do you really want that? I know you don't."

"You don't know what I want! You barely know me at all and now you're just trying to make yourself look good by doing whatever this is."

"I was afraid of this," Super Stallion said.

"Ruby please just stop it, this has gotten far out of hoof."

"Well it wouldn't have happened if ponies just noticed me as much as they did you!" Dr. Arachnid then lunged at Sapphire Shores with weapons coming out of each of his metallic legs. Super Stallion was about to stop the doctor but surprisingly Princess Luna beat him to it. She grabbed Dr. Arachnid and flew him all the way towards the gardens and dropped him there so she could take a turn trying to reason with him. "What, I suppose you want to try and talk sense to me now?"

"I know a thing-"

"I DON'T WANT TO HEAR IT!" Dr. Arachnid interrupted Princess Luna and fired rather big metal chunks out of a leg that Princess Luna dodged by flying but he chased after her and kept up thanks to his metallic legs and kept firing. "I couldn't stand her always showing me up, the constant comparison from my parents. Do you have any idea what it's like to constantly live in some other pony's shadow!?" Princess Luna then dodged several metal chunks and fired a magic beam that hit a nearby statue of Princess Celestia causing it to fall on Dr. Arachnid. It wasn't all that big but it was enough to knock the doctor out.

Luna landed next to him and made sure he wasn't that injured. "Actually I can relate."

Princess Celestia was keeping Chrysalis busy and Shining Armor was fighting Scar Flank. Super Stallion made quick work of most of the backup Scar Flank brought as well as Gentleman Thief. Weather Warper tried to get some of the guards but Twilight stopped her from attacking them after dealing with the last of the backup.
"Suck on some lightning!" Weather Warper said as she was about to cast lightning straight at Twilight but she shot the staff out of her hooves before she could.

"Too slow," Twilight said, rather cocky. Weather Warper grabbed her staff before it even hit the ground and then charged at Twilight to use fire attacks but Twilight summoned a shield to block it.

"Too slow!" Weather Warper said, clearly angry. "My speed is number 1 in all of Equestria," Weather Warper said as she continued to use fire based attacks though none could break the shield.

"I know a pony that’s faster." Twilight then fired through her own shield and hit Weather Warper dead on and fell down unconscious.

"No! No! No!" Scar Flank called out, noticing that the ponies on his side were dropping like flies while he was fighting Shining Armor. "This was supposed to be our victory. How could this have gone wrong?"

"I guess you messed with the wrong ponies," Shining Armor answered before he hit Scar Flank with several spells as well as hits to the face and stomach which made Scar Flank fall to the ground "Well that's takes care of him huh Twily?" Shining said to his sister, but he was too focused on his sister to see that Scar Flank was getting back up ready to attack him. Luckily Twilight noticed and hit him with a stun spell that made sure he stayed put.

"Now that takes care of him."

"You’ve to stop saving my rump like this, it's starting to get embarrassing."

"For who?" Twilight asked a little coldly. Chrysalis then saw that the only rouges left were her and Prank Master who was eating pudding. Chrysalis decided to cut her loses and blasted the floor causing it to collapse. In the distraction Chrysalis grabbed Prank Master and teleported away while Princess Celestia used her magic to catch all the ponies so they wouldn't get hurt.

After the battle, the villains were rounded up by the royal guard who would later take them all to a highly secure prison. "No this can't be all those bits! We were so close!" Scar Flank said as he tried to get free. "We were so close! My family, our glory, our honor!"

"Honor? What honor?" Sapphire Shores asked still at the castle. Suddenly Princess Celestia approached the pony of pop to see if she was alright.

"Are you alright Ms. Shores?"

"Oh, Princess Celestia, yes I'm all right and please call me Sapphire."

"That's good to know and I appreciate your casual nature. Luna is kind of like that."

"Let me ask you something. Do you and your sister get along?"

"Well she and I have our differences at times but overall our bond is very close. You wish you could have something like that with your brother don’t you? I couldn't help but overhear what Dr. A- what Ruby was talking about."

"I know it's not really fair for him to blame me for everything that happened in the past but, I just can't help but feel that if I was just nicer to him there'd be 1 less supervillain running around. That’s probably hard to understand." Princess Celestia then wrapped her wing in a comforting way to Sapphire Shores.

"Actually, I can relate." After the criminals were finally taken away, Shining Armor called in both Squeaky Clean and Swift Sweep to clean up the mess made from fighting the villains.

"Did I really have to come?" Swift Sweep asked. "Squeaky is pretty good on his own. Could this so-called giant mess be that giant that it needs OH MY GOSH!"

"No kidding," Squeaky added. "We should get straight to work."

"What the heck happened to the ceiling were some ponies playing with jack hammers?" Swift Sweep asked. Swift Sweep and Squeaky Clean quickly got to work cleaning the mess made from defeating the rogues and Shining Armor decided to help out with the cleaning as well.

"Thanks for helping us out, Shining Armor. I mean Captain Shining Armor."

"No problem Squeaky. Plus in all honesty I kind of feel like this was my fault."

"What do you mean?"

"Well Swift Sweep I'm captain of the guard now and I should be able to know what to do when stuff like this happens."

"Well don't be too hard on yourself, you're still new to the job, you just need time to adapt to the role so to speak." Trust me I know a thing or 2 about adapting to a difficult role.

"I guess you're right I mean I doubt even Stone Wall could have done better."

"Well, I wouldn't go quite that far."

"What do you mean Squeaky?"

"Well from what I saw, from the picture in my head that I made when I heard about everything. Stone Wall would never give up right at the start; he would look for a way to rescue the hostages and attack the castle invaders especially if Princess Celestia was involved. Plus if he beats somepony down he makes sure they stay down."

"What, you think you can do my job all of a sudden?" Shining Armor asked, suddenly angry to Squeaky's surprise.

"What? No, I was just answering your question."

"Well maybe next time I'll just keep my questions to myself!" Shining Armor then walked off in a huff.

"Yeah maybe you should!" Squeaky retorted, angry himself. "Stone Wall wouldn't have lost his temper so easily either!"

"What's his problem?" Swift Sweep asked as he flew over to Squeaky.

"Maybe it's just the stress of the job. He probably just needs a little space."

"If he talks to me like that I'll give him more than a little."

Far away from Canterlot, Chrysalis and Prank Master were resting in a small dank cave. "Wow that was a blast," Prank Master said. "But how come you only got me out of there?"

"By the time I realized our side couldn't win, you were the only one still active. Besides, you're the most capable of helping me get my revenge."

"Really?"

"Yes and it will be a revenge that most could only ever dream on." Chrysalis then showed Prank Master a very evil grin.

"Want the rest of my pudding?"
