The Final Battle Part 2

“Yeah you better run,” A white male pegasus guard said with gusto. “Well we really showed them who's boss.”

“Well it was mostly Super Stallion,” a female guard answered. “But yeah we still played a part in showing them who's boss.”

After Super Stallion and Grogar tried to hit the other with everything they got, Grogar managed to force Super Stallion back. But in doing so he barely had any energy left and was forced to retreat. Seeing that boosted the morale of the guards as they took on the enemy forces.

Discord also helped force them back after delivering a fatal blow to Cosmos and forcing her to retreat as well. They didn’t get far and took base at the foot of the mountain, but that meant the ponies would have time to form a plan.

Super Stallion was taken to the royal chambers of Princess Celestia where he could turn back into Squeaky Clean to rest and recover. “Nothing like a big comfy bed to help get your energy back,” Squeaky said as he was alone with his wife.

“And you’re sure you aren’t all that hurt?” Celestia asked.

“Yeah, just tired.”

“So can you explain what exactly your plan was?”

“Well Swift Sweep told me that my heart was filled with love and that I should let it guide me. So it told me to go all out with Grogar. In the long run it was actually brilliant. I went at him with everything I got and he returned the favor-”

“So even if he beat you he wouldn’t be able to keep fighting,” Celestia said once she put the pieces together.

“I love it when you finish my sentences for me,” Squeaky said as sat feeling a little better. “Still, I can’t believe even in hyper mode the best I could do against Grogar was force him to a draw. He’s strong.”

“We’ll find a way to beat him,” Celestia said as she put her hoof to her husband’s face. Just then Princess Luna knocked and opened the door.

“Squeaky,” Luna said. “I’m sorry to interrupt your recovery, but have you seen Swift Sweep? I can’t find him.”

“You can’t?” Squeaky asked. “I thought he would go straight to you, he was already making his way to the castle the last time I saw him.”

“I see,” Luna replied.

“Well,” Celestia replied. “Maybe I can help you-” she was cut off when Luna closed the door and would make her way down the hall. Celestia wanted to go after her but Squeaky grabbed her leg.

“Give Luna her space, we need to focus.”

“No, I need to focus,” Celestia replied. “You need to rest.”

Meanwhile in the castle Twilight was going over countermeasures with Stone Wall. “So should we look for Grogar and then take out that army?” Twilight asked.

“Might not be a bad idea,” Stone Wall said. “But to tell you the truth, I really want to take out that army. They lost their morale when Grogar ran off so now might be a good time to strike.”

“Not a bad idea, but there’s quite a few trouble makers in that army.”

“Most of which we recognize, so we know their weaknesses.”

“That’s a really good point,” Twilight said. “I think when all this is over, we’re going to make a really good team.”

“I think we already do,” Stone Wall said with a smile.

“Hey Twily,” Shining Armor called out. “Can I talk to you for a bit.”

“Sorry Shining Armor I really can’t talk right now,” Twilight answered before walking off with Stone Wall once again. Shining Armor simply stood there with his thoughts and before long Star Swirl the Bearded arrived.

“I came here to make a plan with Twilight but I take it Twilight has already made one?” Star Swirl asked.

“Yeah,” Shining Armor replied with a sad look in his eyes that Star Swirl couldn’t help but notice.

“Shining Armor.”

“Yes?”

“Is there something you need to talk about?”

“N-No,” Shining Armor answered, a little afraid which he tried to hide.

“I see, alright then.” Star Swirl then made his way elsewhere to put a few plans in place.

Cozy Glow, Shard Seeker, and Princess Amore after making their way to the Isle of the Ancients wasted no time in looking around for anything that can help fight the father of monsters.

“I don’t suppose you see some kind of glowing rock or crystal that looks like it could be Grogar’s weakness?” Cozy asked.

“I’m afraid not,” Princess Amore answered. “It’s not going to be that simple young one.”

“It’s a safe bet, either way Grogar will prove a formidable foe,” Shard said.

After a while they came across some stone pillars which they noticed had pictures of a certain ram. “Hey look at this,” Cozy said as she flew up and used her newly acquired horn for a light spell.

“That is something,” Princess Amore said as she approached the pillars.

“They are cravings of Grogar,” Shard said.

“Why would somepony want to tell a story about Grogar through these stone carvings?” Cozy asked.

“It’s not telling a story about Grogar, it’s telling how he was defeated,” Princess Amore answered as she noticed an alicorn figure was also carved into the pillars as well. “That must be Celestia and Luna’s mother. She seems to be using magic to attack him head on.”

“But why is her back turned?” Cozy asked as she noticed the figure of Celestia and Luna’s mother was facing away from Grogar.

“Maybe that’s the secret. Don’t look at him,” Shard suggested.

“So…if we want to beat him we have to hit him head on but we can’t look at him?” Cozy asked, a little confused.

“Like I said, it’s not going to be simple. But we found something useful, so let’s head back.”

“Works for me,” Cozy answered. “Let’s make Grogar suffer,” she added with a sadistic smile that worried Princess Amore and Shard. “Sorry, force of habit.”

Grogar after escaping met up with Eris, Cosmos, and Clover to discuss things. “He hit you with a broom?! Are you kidding me?!”

“That is a pretty lame excuse for a creature that can bend reality,” Clover said. This made Cosmos growl at him which made Clover hide behind Grogar. “On the other hand she probably just got-”

“You got careless!” Grogar said. “You let your guard down and that’s how you were outwitted by a simpleton.”

“Yeah,” Clover cried out. Cosmos growled again as he duck and hid behind Grogar. “I’ll be quiet.”

“I miss Cozy Glow,” Grogar said as he recalled she would act in a similar way.

“Maybe we should try a different attack this time around,” Princess Eris said.

“Oh please,” Cosmos said. “I just need to make my way there and those ponies will be at my mercy.”

“Not with Discord there they won’t,” Eris said.

Cosmos growled and Eris hid behind Grogar with Clover.

“Will you 3 quit clowning around!” Grogar ordered. “And you 2 get out of there!” Clover and Eris then got up and moved to Grogar’s side.

“So what’s the plan exactly boss?” Clover asked.

“The plan is fear, wherever I find fear I get stronger. So get those “troops” of ours and attack.”

“Sounds good to me,” Cosmos said.

“Attack where though?” Eris asked.

“Everywhere,” Grogar answered.

“Also works for me,” Cosmos said.

Following Grogar’s orders the rogues from other realms spread across the land of Equestria. Doing this caused fear to spread across the land like a plague, making Grogar all the more stronger. Twilight was told about this and got everypony and Spike and Discord together to form a plan.

“Let’s get going!” Rainbow Dash said as she punched the air. “I don’t care what universe they’re from, no bad guy messes with Equestria!” Hearing that the others cheered in agreement.

“I like your moxie,” Stone Wall said. “But we need to be careful. If we send too much backup all around, we can’t hold down Canterlot.”

“So what should we do?” A guard asked.

“Maybe Super Stallion can help,” a female guard suggested.

“He’s still recovering from his fight with Grogar,” Stone Wall said. “He’s out of it now, but trust me, he’ll be back to fight soon enough.”

Twilight paused as she was concerned about what their next move might be. “Okay here’s what we’re gonna do, we’re going to split up our forces.” The others were quite surprised to hear that.

“Are you sure about that?” Princess Luna asked.

“No,” Twilight answered right away. “But we can stand around while other ponies are suffering.”

“I’m with Twilight on this one,” Spike said. “Besides, the more bad guys we take down, the less backup there will be for Grogar.” Twilight with Stone Wall’s help wasted no time in picking who to go where.

As she was doing that, Twilight’s friends got together to see if she was doing okay. “Okay might not be the right word to use her, but I’m managing.”

“I got to say you are handling this rather well,” Stone Wall said.

“Thank you, Stone Wall,” Twilight said. “I think a huge portion of that is because of your help. You’re quite organized.”

“Years of keeping guards in line,” Stone Wall answered. Hearing that Shining Armor couldn’t help but lower his head, but not for long as he had other things on his mind.

Twilight quickly made his way over to Star Swirl after passing Princess Luna who was still looking for Swift Sweep. “So were you able to get all the letters out?”

“No problem,” Star Swirl answered. “If worse comes to worse and it probably will, the countermeasures are in place.”

“Good,” Twilight replied. “Though why do you think worse is going to come to worse?” Star Swirl then whispered something into her and Twilight looked over at her brother who was approaching him.

“Twily I know this might be another bad time, but can Cadance and I talk to you alone for a bit?”

“Sure,” Twilight answered right away. “Let me just talk to Star Swirl in private for a minute and then I’ll meet you 2 in the royal chambers.”

“Okay…Thank you,” Shining Armor replied. Before long Twilight did just as she said and met with her brother and sister in law who hugged her right on the spot.

“Was this all you wanted to see me for?” Twilight asked.

“We’re so sorry Twily,” Shining Armor said.

“We’re so very sorry, Cadance added.

“For what?” Twilight asked when suddenly she was teleported far away from Canterlot and the ponies that needed her guidance. As she looked around she was shocked to see none other than Grogar. “Nevermind.”

“You 2 have done well,” Grogar said. “But it took you long enough.”

“We did what you wanted now-“

“Yes, yes,” Grogar interrupted Shining Armor. “I know.” Grogar then opened a tear in space and reached into it, pulling out Flurry Heart. The poor foal was locked in a cage and was pulling on the bars desperately trying to get free. “As promised.”

“He took Flurry Heart when he attacked on the Crystal Empire,” Cadance said. “He told us if we didn’t take you to him we’d never see her again.”

“I wanted to tell you,” Shining Armor added. “But he told us we’d never see Flurry again if we said anything.”

“I made certain to know if they did,” Grogar said as 2 copies of himself crawled out of Shining Armor’s and Candance’s shadows and walked over to him. “And now the Princess of Friendship will become 1 less threat to my revenge.” Grogar then used his bell to drain Twilight of her magic. But was shocked when Twilight reverted to Star Swirl the Bearded.

“WHAT THE!?” The 3 all yelled out at the same time. Even Flurry Heart was rather surprised.

“Quite the surprise huh?” Star Swirl said as he stood back up. “I learned of your plan Grogar and switched places with Twilight with a disguise spell right before I was taken here.”

“But how? Did they tell anypony?” Grogar asked his copies and they both shook their heads.

“They didn’t have to,” Star Swirl answered. “I saw the look in Shining Armor’s eyes that was all too familiar, because I’ve seen it on myself more times than I can count. The look of a father that will do anything for their child.”

“Oh how touching,” Grogar said as his copies looked like they were about to vomit. “But since you didn’t bring Twilight Sparkle as we agreed-”

“We never agreed,” Cadence interrupted. “You forced us to-”

“Our deal is null and void,” Grogar interrupted back. “So I’ll be taking your child-”

“I don’t think so,” Twilight said as she flew down and blasted the 2 copies with magic destroying them then grabbed Flurry Heart and joined the others.

“Twilight Sparkle?!” Grogar said shocked once again. “What are you doing here?”

“Saving my favorite niece,” Twilight said as she got Flurry Heart out of the cage. “When Star Swirl figured out your plan he placed a magic tracer on himself so I could find you.”

“Are you kidding me?!” Grogar said. “All this from a look, how could you have thought up a plan such as this?”

“Give me a break! I’m Star Swirl the flipping Bearded.”

“Doesn’t matter, with Twilight here I can take her magic anyway. You were foolish to back up the others all on your own.” Grogar then aimed his bell at Twilight but Shining Armor got in the way and his magic was taken instead.

Suddenly Super Stallion flew across the wasteland the group was in and decked Grogar right in the face. Thanks to Twilight’s bracelet, he knew exactly where to go. “Good thing she didn’t plan on coming alone.”

“Super Stallion too!” Grogar said as he got back up.

“Yeah, don’t you just love it when the hero shows up right in the nick of time?”

“More or less,” Shining Armor whispered.

“I have super hearing. I heard that.”

“Now you have Super Stallion and I to deal with,” Twilight said. “If you try to use the bell on one of us, the other will grab it. It’s checkmate.”

“Not quite,” Grogar said as he started to sink into his own shadow. “You only foiled part of my plan,” he finished as he fully sunk into the shadow and disappeared.

“What do you think he meant by that?” Cadance asked.

“I think I know,” Twilight said. “We need to get back as soon as possible.”

“I’m on it,” Super Stallion said as he flew off. A few seconds later he flew back. “Sorry, I woke up from a nap after using all my energy, I’m not quite at my A game.”

While Grogar failed to take Princess Twilight’s magic, having his interdimensional army attack various parts of Equestria resulted in Twilight sending help all over. But in doing so Canterlot was left with little to no defense when they regrouped back there. This time Canterlot’s forces weren’t able to force them back and the army took control.

“Now this is what I’m talking about,” Eris said after taking over. “I can practically feel all of the chaos we’ve brought to this world.” Eris then looked up at all the portals in the sky. “I can’t wait to spread all of it to all those worlds as well.”

“Don’t count your chickens before they hatch,” Clover said. “We haven’t taken over this world just yet. A few bits of resistance managed to run off and hide before we were able to catch them.”

“Where do you think they went?” Cosmos asked as she once again had a pony screaming it’s head off tangled in her tail.

“I don’t know,” Clover answered. “But I might know a way we can find out.”

While Clover got ready to put a plan in action, the few that managed to get away gathered together in the mines beneath Canterlot. Including Super Stallion and the few he managed to help get back, just not in time to help.

“So he stole your own daughter,” Stone Wall said after being told what had happened. “That’s low even for the father of monsters.”

“I’m so sorry Stone Wall,” Shining Armor said.

“For what?” Stone Wall asked. “Trying to figure out what the least horrible choice in an impossible situation was.”

“Well said,” Super Stallion said.

“For the record, I think you did the most right thing you could do,” Stone Wall said.

“Thank you captain,” Shining Armor said, who then turned his head to his sister. “I’m so sorry Twily. Can you ever forgive me?”

“Of course, it’s like Stone Wall said, you were in an impossible situation.”

“By the way,” Stone Wall said. “Where’s Flurry Heart?”

“She’s resting,” Cadance answered. On Stone Wall’s request Cadance took him to see the young alicorn resting in a little bed Discord was nice enough to make.

“Not to be that pony,” Stone Wall said. “But how do we know that this is the real Flurry Heart and not another fake?” Suddenly, Flurry Heart woke up and the moment she saw her uncle Stone Wall she flew over to him and hugged his face. “Nevermind.”

“So what do we do now?” A guard asked. “I’ve seen some hopeless situations before, but this one might be the most hopeless.”

“We haven’t lost yet,” Super Stallion said.

“No but we’re pretty close,” the same guard said. Stone Wall then shot him a hard stare. “Sorry, I’m not helping.”

“What about Discord?” Cadance asked. “He didn’t get captured.”

“No but he got into an intense fight with Cosmos and this time she was the one that got the upper hoof,” Twilight answered. “He’s going to need a little bit to recover, and when he does he’s going to be a major help in our counter attack. Stone Wall.”

“Yes, your highness?”

“Get everypony ready for our attack, Star Swirl, help him. Your magic may be gone but your mind isn’t.”

“With pleasure, your highness,” Star Swirl answered. With that Twilight left to go check on Discord while Stone Wall got ready to help the others get ready for a fight. As he was about to Flurry Heart flew right in front of her uncle Stone Wall and punched the air a bit.

“Oh my gosh that is so cute,” Stone Wall said. “You want to help in the fight don’t you Flurry Heart?”

Flurry Heart nodded her head. “Uh huh.”

“No way,” Cadance said as she approached her daughter. “It’s not happening, that’s completely out of the question.”

“If it were probably any other circumstance I would agree,” Stone Wall said. “But we’re going to need every chance we can get, literally everything is at stake.”

“Are you kidding me!?” Cadance asked. “She’s a literal baby!”

“A literal baby with fire in her eyes. You can help Flurry, but you have to stay with me the whole time.”

“Yah,” Flurry Heart cheered and then she placed herself right on top of Stone Wall’s head.

“...I guess that’s okay,” Cadance said.

“We may be down but we aren’t out,” Stone Wall said. “We just need to wait for the right moment to strike and when we find an opening we’ll crush that army of interdimensional rogues like maggots.”

“Huh?” Flurry asked.

“It’s like a baby insect.”

Discord was resting in a rather remote part of the mines as he was recovering from quite the intense battle with Cosmos.

“Intense is right Mr. Pioneer,” Discord said. “This is quite the intense end to your long story, but we’re still going to win right?”

Well that would be telling now wouldn’t it? No spoilers.

“But-”

NO SPOILERS!

“Okay sheesh,” Discord replied as he put his paw and claw up in the air. “But can you at least make something good happen for us right away? You’re the writer afterall, whatever you want to happen can happen.”

It doesn’t work that way.

“Of course it does,” Discord argued. “All you have to do is type something-”

And then a chaos proof anvil suddenly landed right on Discord’s head.

“(gasp)” Discord then looked straight up but was shocked to see that nothing was coming to land on him.

See?

“Alright, point made.”

“Are you doing okay Discord?” Twilight asked as she approached him.

“Yeah, just a little meta humor,” Discord answered.

“...Okay. From what I heard Cosmos did quite a number on you.”

“Not so much, I took an idea from Super Stallion and forced her to a draw. But the next time we meet I’m gonna pull another Super Stallion and settle the score once and for all.”

“Well that’s good to hear,” Twilight said. “Otherwise she’d be a real problem. What is exactly your history with her again?”

“When Grogar created me, he created Cosmos to be my mate. She and I made a real connection.”

“But?”

“But she took things too far. While I made a bad habit of making things miserable for ponies, she went out of the way to hurt ponies. Basically, as bad as I was back in the day she still made me look sweet.”

“Yikes, maybe if we both go at her we can take her down easily.”

“No Twilight, this is something I have to deal with alone. Besides, I don’t want you anywhere near her.”

“Why?”

“Because she’s dangerous, and besides, with her focused on me you can focus on others.”

“That’s a fair point. I just hope when all this is over we can just sit down and have a whole bunch of donuts.”

“With some cotton candy and chocolate milk?”

“Sure Discord,” Twilight said as she put her hoof on Discord’s paw. “I know a good dentist anyway.”

“Quick question, when we win do we have to rescue sun butt and moon pie right away?”

“Yes of course we do,” Twilight answered with a serious stare. “Seriously, what's your problem with them? With 90% Princess Celestia actually?”

“I don’t know,” Discord answered, for even he himself didn’t quite know the reason. “She and I are just kind of natural opposites. There’s just something about her that just makes me want to get under her coat.”

After getting captured and getting drained of their magic by Grogar the royal pony sisters were locked in the dungeon and were being interrogated by Clover.

“Now tell me where the rest of the allies ran off to,” Clover asked.

“Never,” Princess Celestia answered for the 5th time. Clover got madder and madder every time.

“You’ve already lost, you might as well tell me where the others are so we can end this whole thing already.”

“Enjoy this while you can,” Princess Luna said. “It’s only a matter of time before they figure out a way to defeat you.”

“Oh yeah?”

“As a matter of fact, yeah,” Princess Luna replied.

“Super Stallion and Twilight have accomplished truly amazing things,” Princess Celestia said. “And when they combine their forces there is no way you will be able to stop them.”

“My my,” Grogar said as he made his way into the dungeon. “You still have such high hopes. But that’s just going to make it hurt all the more when they’re finally crushed.”

“I only wished we could have softened you up a bit,” Luna said.

“Which we probably could have done if we worked together,” Celestia added.

“You seriously want to bring that up now?!”

“I’m just saying.”

“Oh poor Princess Celestia,” Grogar said. “Always hurting the ones closest to you.”

“That’s not true,” Celestia said.

“Tell a lie long enough and you start to believe it. And hope is the greatest lie of all.”

“Keep telling yourself that Grogar,” Luna said.

“Don’t you get it?” Clover asked. “It’s over, you lost.”

“We lost this battle but we won’t lose the war,” Celestia said.

“It’s only a matter of time before our husbands come to rescue us,” Luna added.

“Your husband's you say?” Grogar asked. “Tell me something Luna, you don’t know where he is do you?”

“No,” Luna answered. “But he probably just got lost on his way to the castle. It’s actually happened before, he gets hit on the head a lot.”

“The truth can be so hard to accept,” Grogar said with a smile.

“What are you talking about?” Luna asked with concern for her husband.

“He saw that you ponies had no chance of winning so he ran off with his tail between his legs while the getting was good.”

Hearing that Luna had to fight the urge to cry from the very idea. “NO!” She screamed with the royal Canterlot voice that echoed throughout the whole dungeon. “He would never do that, he’s coming to save me and until he does I have nothing to say to you.”

“Suit yourself,” Grogar said. “I have a few more things to take care of. In the meantime, get used to the dungeon.” Grogar then made his way out with Clover not too far behind.

“Well since those 2 are gone-”

“I’m not saying anything to you either-” Luna interrupted Celestia.

“Are you kidding me? Look I know you're mad at me Luna and you have every right to be, I acted like a jerk and a brat. But that’s not important right now, we need to focus and figure out what we’re going to do.”

“Regrettably there’s nothing we can do. Grogar took our magic and these chains are too strong. All we can do is wait to be rescued.”

“But that-”

Stinks? I know, but it’s the only card we can play.” Luna then looked down at the floor. The fear Grogar put in her head was growing stronger and she couldn’t help but cry. “Wherever you are Swift Sweep, please come save me soon.”

Little did Princess Luna know that Swift Sweep was on the verge of doing just that.

After a talk with Grogar Princess Eris was acting as a lookout, but mostly she was simply admiring all of the chaos that she helped bring right to the center of Equestria. “I never would have imagined that teaming up with that mad ram would work out this well.”

“So when do we move to invade all those other worlds out there?” Clover asked as he went to join Princess Eris.

“Just as soon as Grogar finishes all of the loose ends in this one,” Princess Eris answered.

“Well how long is that going to take?” Solar Flare asked who overheard and was talking to a Tirek from another dimension. “I have a certain realm to get back to controlling.”

“You control an entire realm?” The Tirek from another dimension asked. “How did you get to do that?”

“I took it from her,” Solar Flare answered as she pointed to Princess Eris who suddenly saw Swift Sweep approaching the army of rogues.

“What the heck is he doing?” Princess Eris asked.

“You’ve had your fun,” Swift Sweep said as the army of rogues got together after seeing him. “If you can call attaching others and destroying cities and towns fun.”

“Oh we can, trust me,” Eris said as she jumped down and approached Swift Sweep with the army of rogues to back her up. “So I take it you’re here to surrender?”

“Close. I’m here to take you all out.”

“How is that close?” A Starlight within the army of rogues asked. However nopony or creature answered her as most of the rogues roared with laughter from Swift Sweep’s comment.

“Oh you’re gonna take us all out are you?” Eris asked as she was holding down a few more laughs. “And just how do you think you are going to pull that off?”

“That was rather impressive of you to bring in all sorts of backup from alternate universes,” Swift Sweep replied. “But there was 1 thing you forgot.”

“Oh yeah,” Eris replied. “And what would that be?”

“Turnabout is fair play.” Swift Sweep then held up a crystal from around his neck, resulting in a giant portal opening right behind him. Suddenly an army walked out of the portal putting the army of rogues rather on edge when they saw all the backup.

Including but not limited to a Nightmare Moon but her cutie mark was a shield, the mane 6 and a human standing protectively in front of Applejack while holding a chair, the mane 6 who had Trixie with them and her own Element of Harmony, a small version of the mane 6 except for Fluttershy who had grow to the size of a house, 6 ponies nopony recognized that had cutie marks on just 1 side of their flanks for some reason, and 6 ponies that nopony recognized with clear different ages who also bared the Elements of Harmony.

“ATTACK!” Swift Sweep screamed at the top of his lungs and all the backup he was able to gather charged with him towards the army of rogues.

Twilight, thanks to her chaos magic, was able to see the whole thing from the caves. “Wow, if that's an opening to counter attack, I don’t know what is. Stone Wall, get everypony ready.”

“Yes your highness,” Stone Wall said and quickly did as he was ordered.

“Twilight,” Shining Armor said as he managed to crawl to his sister. “Take me with you, I may not have my magic, but I can still help guide and direct the ponies.”

“Alight,” Twilight answered. “It’s like Stone Wall said, anything that can give us an edge. I’m paraphrasing of course.”

“Of course.”

Swift Sweep’s army attacked the rogue army head on while Twilight’s band of resistance attacked from the sides. Twilight’s band was also aided from the backup that was set in place. The hippogriffs, the dragons, the changelings, and Sunset’s friends.

Clover saw Princess Twilight commanding attacks from above with Shining Armor right next to her and ran over to grab her. However Stone Wall cut him off before he got anywhere near her. “If you want her you’re going to have to go through me!”

“That’s fine with me,” Clover said as he got ready to attack. Clover jumped up ready to strike Stone Wall right on his head.

“Barrier,” Stone Wall said and suddenly a yellow bubble surrounded him completely, blocking Clover’s attack.

“What the?” Clover asked as he jumped back.

“Nice work Flurry.” Stone Wall then patted the young alicorn at a job well done. “Now dispel it.” Flurry then once again did as she was told.

“Is that a baby on your head?!” Clover asked.

“Yes, she wanted to help her uncle Stone Wall.”

“You actually need a baby’s help to fight? You’re pathetic.”

“I was just testing her magic. She’s quite capable for somepony so young. But I can tell from the get go, I can take you down all by myself.”

“Oh yeah!?”

“Yeah, but if you think you can prove me wrong. By all means.” Clover then jumped again to try to strike Stone Wall who in response simply turned around and kicked Clover in the stomach. Clover landed flat on his back. “Huh, I didn’t even need to use magic.”

“Don’t mock me!” Clover got back up and aimed his blaster at Stone Wall who this time used his own magic to summon a barrier to block it. Stone Wall then fired a beam from his horn and Clover fired again, causing the beams to clash.

“If this is the best you can do I’m not impressed,” Stone Wall said which made Flurry Heart laugh.

“I said don’t mock me!” Clover said as he set his blaster to max but it still wasn’t enough to match Stone Wall’s magic beam when he gave it more energy. “I’m a great warrior that was chosen by the Storm King to fight in his world conquering army.”

“You’re an over bloated thug that was working for a tyrant,” Stone Wall retorted. “He was defeated and you’re going to share his fate.” Stone Wall’s beam pushed back and went right into the blaster destroying it from the inside.

“No way!” Clover said as he grabbed his arm which was now injured.

“As a matter of fact, way. You’re going back to prison where you’ll stay put. Out of trouble and out of the pages of history.” Stone Wall then teleported right in front of Clover and blasted him at point blank, knocking him out cold.

“Yay,” Flurry Heart cheered.

“That wasn’t so hard was it. Now let’s go even the odds and put an end to all this. Are you ready to keep at it Flurry?”

“Yay,” she cheered again.

Elsewhere Discord was in an intense battle with Cosmos determined to stop her once and for all.

“Why keep fighting me, Discord?!” Cosmos said. “It doesn’t make sense.”

“Make sense? Oh what fun is there in making sense?”

“We were literally made for each other, we should be on the same side!”

Discord then grabbed her head plate and chewed into pieces, breaking 1 of the 6 crystal stars which contained her magic.

“You were made for the old me,” Discord said back. Discord and Cosmos then spun around each other creating a chaos tornado. “I’ve changed Cosmos. Besides, even if I didn’t it was never going to work out.”

“Why not?” Cosmos asked.

“Because you stopped thinking about what I wanted,” Discord answered. “You used me! You didn’t care about me, that’s not a friend.”

“You really have changed,” Cosmos said.

“Yes I have.”

“...I haven’t,” Cosmos said before wrapping around Discord and making herself look more frightening. “I’M MALICE PERSONIFIED! OF COURSE I USED YOU! What goes better with malice than chaos! And if chaos won’t join me as my companion, you can sit at my feet as my dog.”

“Not going to happen,” Discord said as made himself fire, forcing Cosmos to let go. Discord then made himself more frightened looking as well to match Cosmos. “I’m not afraid of you anymore, and I’ve met somepony else.”

“What?” Cosmos asked. Discord then attacked Cosmos hitting her with everything he could think up, even the kitchen sink. While he attacked Cosmos Discord also made sure to break the other gems that were holding her magic, weakening her.

“Time to finally put an end to this, and the chapter’s not even at 6000 words. We’re all making good time.”

“No this isn’t over,” Cosmos said. “You can’t get rid of me.”

“I feel like I’ve been here before, then again I doubt it’s the only callback we’ve done.”

“I’ll get my revenge,” Cosmos said. “Equestria will be mine!”

“No. We’re done. This is over.” Discord then summoned a proton pack which he used to seal Cosmos away in it. With his fight finally over Discord collapsed to the ground. “Well that wasn’t so bad, at least I’m not trapped somewhere.”

While he was rather open and defenseless, thankfully Discord wouldn’t have to worry about getting attacked. For the army of rogues were defeated by the army of backup. Before long Princess Eris was cornered by none other than Swift Sweep.

“No please,” Princess Eris said as she got into a pleading position. “I didn’t mean to cause any harm.”

“Well you could have fooled me,” Swift Sweep said, who was nowhere near in a forgiving mood.

“Please try to understand,” Eris said. “Chaos is in my nature.”

“And protecting the ponies that I love is my nature.” Swift Sweep then bucked Eris so hard she went right through a wall and was knocked out cold. “Stallions aren’t supposed to strike ladies, but this is definitely an exception. You are no lady.”

Swift Sweep then made his way to the dungeons where he was certain that his wife, Princess Luna was being held.

“I knew you would come to rescue me,” Luna said while hugging Swift Sweep and crying tears of joy. “I never doubted it for a second…Well maybe a few.”

“You were able to take out Grogar’s army?” Princess Celestia asked.

“See for yourself.” Swift Sweep said as he took the princesses outside and saw 1 army rounding up another. With help from Twilight’s backup.

“How were you able to do all this?” Princess Celestia asked as she was shocked and amazed.

“Star Swirl put some of his magic into this crystal so I could travel from universe to universe and use the bad guys' plan against them,” Swift Sweep answered.

“It was quite a challenge,” Star Swirl said as he joined the others. “But as somepony who studies the means to travel across other dimensions, I was able to figure something out.”

“He and I sat down and talked and Star Swirl really liked the plan. When the army of rogues attacked I jumped into the mirror and rounded up all that backup,” Swift Sweep said. “Sorry I took so long.”

“You have nothing to apologize for,” Luna said as she pulled her husband in for another hug.

“Now there’s just the matter of getting all these rogues out of here,” Cadance said. Suddenly she saw that Twilight was eating a rather large sandwich that she summoned with her chaos magic. “Uh Twilight?”

“Yes?”

“Is now really a good time for a snack?”

“Hey, I’m the one that carried my brother all the way up to the balcony and down here to the street,” Twilight said defensively. “Do you have any idea what it’s like for my brother to ride you while making obnoxious grunting sounds?!”

Cadance didn’t say anything but her pink face quickly turned red.

“Now I’m not hungry,” Twilight said as she made the sandwich disappear.

“So should we lock all these rogues up and take them back to their respective universes and then lock them up?” Shining Armor asked.

“Maybe lock them up and then put them back in their own universes,” Discord suggested. “But this climax isn’t over just yet.”

“Yes,” Princess Celestia added. “There’s still the matter of Grogar. I doubt he’s just going to disappear for millenia again. Especially with the Bewitching Bell still in his possession.”

“How right you are,” Grogar said from up above. The army of rogues and the armies of backup looked up only to have their power taken by the Bewitching Bell, making Grogar all the more powerful. Some of which didn’t get their magic stolen, such as Discord who teleported away. And Twilight, because Cadance got in the way and used herself as a shield.

“CADANCE!” Twilight telled as she went to check on her sister in-law. “Why did you do that Cadance?”

“Well,” she answered. “Shining Armor did it last time, now it was my turn.”

“Well on the plus side,” a unicorn from an alternate reality by the name of Miracle said. “We don’t have to look for that ancient ram Swift Sweep told us about.”

“Yeah,” his friend Applecore replied. “But something tells me he isn’t going to be easy to defeat.”

“All this power,” Grogar said as he transformed and started to hover over the armies he took magic from. “Not just from various ponies but ponies and other creatures from various worlds.” Grogar then looked at the portals of all the other Equestrias. “It’s going to make it all the more easier to conquer other worlds. All the power of the multiverse is mine to command! No creature in this or any world will be able to stand my way!”

Suddenly Grogar was punched right in the jaw by Super Stallion. Super Stallion hit him as hard as he could and Grogar was slammed right into the ground.

“Wow, did I time that right or what?” Super Stallion asked with gusto that caused many to burst into laughter.

“My my,” Grogar said. “Aren’t we full of gusto?”

“Yes I think Mr. Pioneer made that rather clear,” Discord said while rather off in the side.

“I rather like that,” Grogar said.

“You do?” Super Stallion asked confused.

“It’s gonna make it all the more better when I beat you. So I can see it all break into pieces.”

“Have you forgotten Grogar? Our power is equal, more or less.”

“It was. But I have achieved a new level of power.”

“New level? What do you mean?”

“Here, let me show you.” Grogar then used his bell to take bits of magic from the others worlds the portals were showing. Grogar’s body then started to change as he transformed once again. His horns, while shorter, became curled once again and while Grogar was smaller he had much more muscle on his arms and chest with a large red bot on his forehead.

“Oh no,” Super Stallion said before Grogar punched him right in the muzzle, happily returning the favor. Super Stallion flew right into the horizon.

“Wow, that looked like it hurt,” Discord said.

“Do you think Super Stallion is going to be okay?” Twilight asked. Suddenly Super Stallion came out of the other side of the horizon and landed in the exact same spot that Grogar landed.

“Why don’t you ask him?”

As Grogar laughed wickedly, Twilight and Discord went over to check on Super Stallion. “Are you okay Super Stallion?” Twilight asked.

“Well okay might not be the right word, but I don’t think anything is broken,” Super Stallion answered as he got himself up.

“Did you get hit so hard you went all around the world?” Discord asked.

“Actually I saw the sun rise and set at least twice, so it was a bit more than that,” Super Stallion answered again. Grogar then fired spells that all entered the portals. "What's he doing now?

"I planted chaos spells that while infect all the worlds I plan to control," Grogar answered. "When I'm done here I'm going to spread fear to all those worlds. My spells will help with just that, I even made it so the chaos magic will attack anypony that tries to undo them. But perhaps I'm getting ahead of myself.

Grogar then was flew right at the trio. Discord and Twilight used chaos magic to surround themselves with a large bubble that Grogar bounced off of. “Rather simple, but surprisingly effective.

“So what’s the plan?” Twilight asked.

“I don’t know,” Super Stallion said. “I could barely keep up with him in his 2rd form, how do I fight him now?”

“Well between the 3 of us we should be able to think up something,” Discord said. “If not he’ll take over the entire multiverse, no pressure.”

“How about you leave the wisecracks to me,” Super Stallion said before Grogar landed not too far away from them.

“It’s time to end this,” Grogar said.

“Fine with me,” Super Stallion replied. He then went into hyper mode and tried to blast Grogar but he blocked it with his arms and took little to no damage.

“That’s the best you can do isn’t it?” Grogar asked.

“Yes,” Super Stallion replied.

“But it’s not the best we can do,” Twilight said. Super Stallion, Twilight, and Discord then all fired beams of magic that Grogar managed to endure.

“We didn’t even faze him,’ Super Stallion said.

“What happened to all that gusto?” Grogar asked.

“I got your gusto right here!” Super Stallion charged Grogar and struck him repeatedly, but like the energy attacks they did little to no good. Grogar counterstruck Super Stallion forcing him into the horizon again.

Or at least he would if Discord didn’t make a giant glove appear in the sky to catch him then bring him down to the ground. “This doesn’t look like it’s going to workout for us.”

“Of course not,” Grogar said. “You cannot defeat me anymore than you can defeat fear itself.”

“Challenge accepted,” Stone Wall said. Grogar turned to face Stone Wall only to get pushed back by a beam of concentrated magic, though not by much.

“Stone Wall?!” Super Stallion called out, happy to see his old friend could help in the fight.

“Flurry Heart managed to teleport me out of the way right before that bell of his could take our magic.”

“Not to point out potential plot holes,” Discord said. “But that spell of yours rather hurt him, when our attacks were barely able to.”

“I was concentrating a lot of my magic to focus on just 1 attack,” Stone Wall answered. “Plus his guard was down, that’s also an important factor.”

“It’s going to take a lot more than that to take me down,” Grogar said, only for him to get sucker punched by Miracle. “What the? How can you fight when you have no magic?”

“Well,” the unicorn replied while trying to stand. “I don’t fully get what’s going on here, but you’re trying to control others through fear. I got tired of living in fear a long time ago.”

Seeing Miracle get back up to help fight inspired others to do the same. But Grogar simply made more copies of himself and was easily able to keep them at bay. Super Stallion tried to blast the real Grogar with a hyper blast but once again barely scratched him.

“You may have inspired others to fight, but it won’t last long when the sheer hopelessness of your struggle kicks in.”

“Why do you bad guys always try to talk me to death?” Super Stallion asked, to Grogar's annoyance. Grogar then made another copy that became a giant, only for Spike to fly straight at it and burn a hole right through it, making it vanish.

“What? But how?” Grogar asked. “With all the magic I put into it that copy was as strong as a mountain.”

“If you can’t stand the heat,” Spike said. “Don’t fight a dragon.”

“Enough of this. Time for fear to smash hope.” Grogar charged at Super Stallion but Discord wrapped himself around his father in an attempt to slow him down.

“Come on now dad, if this is about what he said a minute ago you have to admit he has a point. You always were a talker.”

“I’m also the one that created you,” Grogar said as he struggled to get free. “Why not stand by me so you can finally flood this land in chaos like you’ve always wanted to.”

“I grew up dad, I learned there’s more to life than controlling other creatures and plotting revenge. Why don’t you try it?”

“How about I try this instead?” Grogar then grabbed Discord’s chest and suddenly pulled his chaos magic right out of him. This caused Discord to fall to the ground and he started to fall apart. Once he was freed he grabbed Super Stallion and pulled him up.

“DISCORD!” Twilight yelled as she went over to see him. “What did Grogar do?”

“He took the chaos spark back. That’s what he used when he created me.”

“My gosh,” Twilight said as she couldn’t help but tear up. “How could he do this to his own child?”

“Dad was never the affectionate type, speaking of affection.” Discord then surprised Twilight by kissing her right on the lips. “Something I’ve wanted to do for a while but I guess I ran out of time."

“Discord…Don’t go.”

“Don’t cry Twilight. Chaos never really dies, it just fades away for a while,” Discord said before he crumbled away into dust and various animal parts.

Meanwhile up in the air, Grogar was forcing Super Stallion to watch his copies round up the others still trying to fight. “Look around you.”

“Don’t you mean under me?” Super Stallion asked.

“All the others are being taken down and once I defeat you, their hope will be destroyed by my fear. Then they will be under my control.”

“I’ll fight you until my very last breath.”

“Have it your way.” Grogar then let out a series of chaos blasts on Super Stallion. Suddenly Super Stallion was surrounded by a pink bubble that pulled him back to the ground.

“Golly, we sure missed a lot,” Cozy Glow said, who was accompanied by Princess Amore and Shard Seeker.

“Seems things have gotten worse,” Princess Amore added.

“Much worse,” Shard added.

“Even more meddlers? It doesn’t matter, you will all give into fear.” Grogar then caused black lightning to rain down on the ground causing panic.

“Please tell me you found something,” Super Stallion pleaded. “We’re really running out of options.”

“Yes,” Cozy answered. “Don’t look at him Super Stallion, it’s the source of his power.”

“What? How can I fight him if I don’t look at him?”

“You have to fight internally, some evil can only be fought with the heart.” Suddenly more black lightning hit the ground and 1 of them hit Princess Amore causing her to turn into stone. “Not again! Listen Super Stallion, you have the magic to beat him. In more ways than 1.” Before she could explain Princess Amore was fully encased in stone.

“More ways than 1?” Super Stallion, while confused, looked up at the portals and remembered how Grogar transformed after taking magic through the portals. While also remembering he had some new magic from Celestia and Luna’s mother. “Could that be what she meant?” Super Stallion then flew right up and looked around the portals.

“What is he doing?” Grogar asked.

“Okay Celestia and Luna’s mom, whose name I never got, I want to say Lauren. If your magic can help me fight Grogar, now would be a really good time.” Suddenly magic flowed from the portals once again and went into Super Stallion.

“WHAT ARE YOU DOING!?” Grogar asked.

“I think the proper term is leveling the playing field,” Super Stallion answered.

“It’s like I said, “Swift Sweep added as he was watching Super Stallion transform. “Turnabout is fair play.”

Super Stallion, like Grogar, had become bipedal. On top of that most of his body became light blue and his eyes were black with a thick flowing golden mane. To the others watching he looked like a cosmic being. “Now let’s try this again shall we?” Super Stallion then closed his eyes right before punching Grogar and sending him flying.

Grogar flew back and blasted Super Stallion with chaos magic, but this time Super Stallion was able to endure the attack and once again closed his eyes. After focusing on where the attacks were coming from he hit Grogar dead on again.

“Now’s my chance,” Twilight said as she flew up by the portals. “Super Stallion! Keep Grogar away from the portals.”

“On it,” Super Stallion said.

Twilight focused on getting rid of the magic Grogar put into the portals. The magic fought back as she tried to remove it.

“Twilight stop!” Stone Wall said as he tried to levitate himself with his magic.

“No I can’t.” Twilight then summoned not just her friends, but also the pillars and the student 6. They and many others around her started glowing. “Grogar seemed impossible to beat but Super Stallion somehow found a way. We have to protect not just this world but all the worlds he tries to harm. There will always be darkness in the world but there will always be those who find the light.”

The pillars, the mane 7, and the student 6 all shot out harmony beams that went into Twilight who in turn fired beam after beam into the portals. Grogar’s magic attacked Twilight but she endured and continued firing beams until every portal was clear of Grogar’s magic.

“She did it!” Spike called out. Twilight then started falling until Spike caught her and placed her on the ground. “You did it Twilight!...Twilight?”

Elsewhere Super Stallion and Grogar continued their battle, each hitting the other with powerful attacks that shook the planet they were flying all over. Super Stallion was still able to have the edge throughout the whole fight by not looking at Grogar. He did this by either using reflective services near him, focusing on where the attacks were coming from, or just sensing his evil presence.

“Time to put an end to this fight. The others are probably going to need my help cleaning the giant mess you made.”

“You can’t beat me. I am fear!”

“And that’s why I can beat you.”

“What?!”

“It’s like you said, I'm a symbol of hope. Light is more powerful than darkness, joy is more powerful than misery, love is more powerful than hate, and hope. Hope is more powerful than fear will ever be. Fear isn’t infinite, hope is infinite. Getting this form made me realize we all have the power within us to overcome fear together. And for the sake and hope of every creature in this and every Equestria, I’m going to strike down the symbol of fear.”

Super Stallion then concentrated most of his new found power and shot it straight at Grogar. Grogar tried to use his bell, but the bell’s power was nullified. Grogar’s entire body was blasted all the way back to Canterlot.

“How many craters is Canterlot going to get today?” Swift Sweep asked.

Super Stallion flew down and was staring Grogar down who was trying to stand up.

“Don’t look at him, Super Stallion,” Cozy Glow tried to warn.

“It’s okay. I no longer fear him, and without fear, he has no power. Time to defeat you once and for all so we can all live without fear!” Super Stallion blasted Grogar 1 last time reverting him back to his original form but shortly afterwards Super Stallion reverted as well.

“Super Stallion are you alright?” Princess Celestia asked as she went over to him.

“More or less,” Super Stallion answered. “I guess channeling all that power can take a lot out of a stallion.” Super Stallion then noticed the princesses eyes were rather red. “Princess, have you been crying?”

“In a moment this whole world will be crying,” Grogar said.

“Are you still going on?” Super Stallion asked. “When will you quit?”

“When you’re all dead,” Grogar answered as a shadowy aura surrounded him. “And in about a minute that’s going to be the case.”

“What?” Princess Celestia asked.

“Super Stallion may have taken all my new powers, but I stored a powerful curse inside me before the fight. It’s going to work as a bomb and take out this entire mountain.”

“What?” Princess Eris who overheard asked. “You’re going to take all of us out? That’s insane!”

“My vengeance will be complete, even if it costs me my life. You may have defeated me in battle, but you’re exhausted. Not even you can stop it.”

“Are you kidding me?!” Stone Wall said. “After everything and all we’ve fought for, we don’t even get a happy ending?!”

Super Stallion looked around and saw all the others sad and afraid, but then he looked up at the sky and knew in his heart what he had to do. “Celestia,” he whispered so only she would hear. When she turned her head to him he kissed her as passionately as he could. “I love you Princess Celestia, until the end of time.”

“Why are you telling me-”

“You’re right, Grogar,” Super Stallion interrupted.

“What?” Grogar asked, surprised.

“I can’t stop you, but I can move you.” Super Stallion then picked up the father of monsters and flew into the stars. Not too long after that Grogar blew up and for Super Stallion, everything went black.
