I'm just a writer who really enjoys slice of life stories.

During a girls' day out, the princess of love, Cadance, decides to share the story of how she and Shining Armor first started out as a couple. It is much more awkward than Twilight and Luna thought it would be at first.

This story is a slice of life thread cutting between a spa day for the princesses of Equestria and the series of events that led to Shining Armor and Cadance beginning to date. It is much more heavily slated toward the latter than the former.

This is about as 'slice-of-life' as a Slice-of-Life fic can get. Cute, straight forward, to the point; heck, it was paced well enough that I found myself thinking that one could actually probably make a pretty decent MLP episode out of this. The fic as is would probably clock in somewhere around a 22 minute length.

Watch the purple prose; describing three of the princesses by their coat colors at the beginning was unnecessary since most anyone reading this fic will presumably already know what they look like. The sole time coat or mane colors should be described is if either you're introducing a completely new character whose important enough to warrant having that much detail about how they look described, OR if the mane or coat are being focused on enough with an existing character in that particular moment that it would make sense to describe the look of their mane or coat.

Overall, this is a very solid, cute Slice-of-Life fic with a pretty good message, although I was surprised that it was LITERALLY about the very, very, VERY beginning of Cadance and Shining Armor's courtship. The description made it sound like we'd get something that at least went through their first date, but I don't mind that this didn't meet expectations, I think that may have even partly been intentional on your part. Well done friend, sorry it took me awhile to get around to this!
