The Call

Crimson Blade is the owner of 'Crimson's Tavern'. As he goes to shut down for the night, he receives an unexpected call. But when the voice says they're trying to call a suicide hotline, he's forced to do whatever it takes to stop them harming themselves. But how far do you risk your own life, just to save one?

The suspense in the middle of this is easily the best part, and I wish you'd concentrated on that. The setup is interesting, too, if a bit grim. Where the story falls down is in its un-Equestrian feel -- why would an Earth song like "What's New Pussycat?" be playing? -- but mostly in the wildly OTT ending, not least all that "And again" repetition.
