An Excellent performance there Zexis a good bit of quick thinking and planing. But unfortunately our situation is still quite dire and we will need to proceed carefully. But enough about that it look like we have another session with our host Eros which means two thing a opportunity for more lore which is always interesting and a chance to upgrade Zexis.
Unfortunately I have no idea what to ask about the lore to be shared so I leave that up to the rest of our fellow conspirators. However I do have a proposition about how we should improve Zexis. I believe it can be safely said that our habit of trying to make Zexis well rounded is starting to come back and bite us in the arse. All though Zexis has very few weaknesses and can preform to some degree in most area he has no Trump card. Therefore I recommend that we increase some of his current skill to the next level particular those which we can get to lvl 3 as the benefit and pay off from that lvl are quite large.
Personally I would like to see Zexis Plant affinity put up to lvl three as it is only one lvl off and hopefully will allow us to start taking control of the Everfree Forest which would be both an excellent ally and safe place to preform some of out more dastardly deeds. Next I think that either increase Intelligence or Dominant should be increased. Intelligence in order to help us understand what Twilight and Starlight magical tracker as well as hopefully making us avoid making such mistakes such as the one Zexis made when he got caught. Dominant on the other hand would make it easier and quicker for us to take over new ponies as our main method generally involves dropping the target willpower to a level were we can manipulate them also combine with the fact that with our trait Enhanced Dominance make this trait one higher than it current lvl mean that by increasing it once will effectively give us a lvl three skill which can still be upgraded further.
But these are just my thought I would be interested in anyone else's view on how we should proceed with upgrading Zexis. That it for now.
Your Sincerely

I'd like to make an observation that, while not hesitant in doing so, Tin Soldier seems to ONLY follow the orders Spoiled Rich gives him as they're EXACTLY stated.
Otherwise I doubt he would have missed Zexis slipping the pill into her tea, given that he's clearly not incompetent.
Correct.
You know, I actually like her a bit. This is one of the better written Spoiled Riches I've seen, she's not just a bitch, she's a SMART bitch.
I have a bad feeling about this.
Probably.
Filthy Rich.
I don't like this one bit.
I see.
You, have issues.
Definitely has a power fetish.
Ah, sleight of hand.
No worries, take your time.

For upgrades I still want to go for max intelligence. Because as far as I can see intelligence is an universal increase in the ability to understand and perform many tasks. Things such as speech, enchanting, alchemy and maybe most important of all Zexis' ability to improvise will be improved and seeing as things don't tend to go according to plan for essentially everyone, it would be very useful if Zexis could thing more for himself. Might also stop him from doing something as stupid as what he did with Scootaloo again, though that event did feel a bit like it only occurred because of plot convenience or because Zexis has gotten overconfident.... probably both....
That idea for lvl3 affinity for plants is also quite good, a safe place to experiment and possibly to build a safe house or take over Zecora's old home.
Also I forgot if we already took everything useful from Zecora's home.
As for my questions to Eros:
1 how does the levelling of traits work exactly.
1.1 Do the effects increase exponentially for each extra level or do they increase with the same amount each time.
1.2 With how much does the CP cost increase per level-up. Is it always the same amount like +1*base cost per level or is it different for each trait. As far as I can see up until now (mostly because we have not had the option to pick lvl 3 traits yet) it seems like it is just +1*base cost per level since every stat has doubled in cost to upgrade. At the moment we can only see the cost of upgrading to the next level of a trait but in the case we want to upgrade something twice we need to know how much the next two levels will cost and we don't know how that works yet.
2 Just a bit of clarification regarding the Arcane Tattoos. you stated Spells stronger than the enchanting ability of the user, can put enorm stress on ones body. Does this mean that the enchanting ability of the maker dictates the strength of the spells able to be used and that the enchanting skill of the user dictates whether casting it is possible. It may seem obvious but better safe then sorry.
3 Will we be able to have Roseluck become at least mostly back to a more... useful state of mind and what about Zecora. It would be very useful if we could at least get her to use her extensive knowledge on alchemy. (though any spell that would allow us excess to her memories would also do.)
The mist rolls back to reveal a large blue dragon with silvery chest scales and thighs, kneeling away from a throne of crystal, inside of a mountain.
“Eros, God of Corruption and Lust, I thank you for the blessings upon my kingdom, that I may be able to bring dragons back towards our true natures. I thank thee for the corruption of Tiger Agate and the wisdom you have given me. My faithful ally Fluorspar, tells me that the barrier to Tartarus is weakened for today. If that is so, please let me speak with thee to answer the question you have given me.”
Opening his eyes, the dragon’s amber eyes widen in glee. “Lord Eros, I am glad that I can communicate with you again. I must first thank you for the corruption of Tiger Agate, while she hasn’t let me claim her yet, but she is close. Fluorspar already sees her fucking her fellow dragonesses with glee. She tells me that, she will swear loyalty to me within the week. It will be great to see her become and ally.”
Getting on to his throne the Dragon Lord of the North speaks, “Now, you asked me last time, how I became the dragon Lord of the North.” The dragon snorts in amusement. “To be honest I never really planned on being the lord of the North. It was by extremely fortunate circumstances that I am here.”
“It all started in Raven’s pass, I just met Fluorspar, and she was able to confirm it to me that you, Eros, were real. I read little bit about you but it was always hushed. For her to actually show me that you existed, bound in Tartarus, but really existed. I was grateful to her, so I gave her a gift, the beauty she loves so much. I asked her how to free you. She said that the more creatures that accepted your ideals. The ideals of lust and corruption then the strong you would get and then you would be free. It was at that time a small idol in Fluorspar’s cave glowed.”
“It was a silly little replica of the ice heart bow, but it glowed. I asked Fluorspar what it meant, and she told me it was time for the choosing of the next Ice Dragon Lord. I took that glow as a sign. As the Ice Dragon Lord, I could be in contact with dragon’s through the north and possibly throughout Mundus. I told Fluorspar I would participate and would become the Ice Dragon Lord. Fluorspar agreed that becoming the lord would probably be the best.” The Northern Dragon Lord explains while pulling out a white and clear bow, that was shaped as two dragon wings combined with a dragon head were the two meet. As Fimbulwinter’s claw travels up and down its length the bow seems to cause a blue light.
The mist starts to roll in as the blue light grows strong until it pulls back, revealing a puzzled blue dragon.
“I’m sorry Eros, it appears that the bow was starting to weaken our connection sorry. Now, where were we? Before we got to the actual site for the trial, Fluorspar got a vision. It showed that without our intervention Permafrost would have become the Northern Dragon Lord. He would have solidified the teaching that Celestia gave to late Lord Tundra, Permafrost’s Grandma. I’m sorry, let me explain. I learned while I was in the Fang Monastery, that Queen Tundra was a big advocate for the Dragons of the North. She worked hard to make sure Celestia’s laws and customs were incorporated into our culture. Her son, and next King Lord Glacier, continued this during his reign. Fluorspar had a vision that if Permafrost became the Ice Dragon Lord he would reaffirm his family’s teachings and would make it much more difficult for me to bring dragons into your hoard.”
“That vision only gave me more resolve to become the Dragon Lord, but it didn’t make me reckless. Fluorspar gathered gems, while I designed one of my most favorite gems. The gem of Malathor. It took two days to make enough.” The blue dragon pulls out a a green, blue, and orange gem that seemed to be a combination of four pyramid shape gems. “It’s a very powerful sex crystal. It allows for a dragon to have multiple sessions of sex, without any recovery in-between, but all those recovery periods add up. So, let’s say after fucking five or seven times straight, you can’t move in the morning. I also made several Tarmakin’s Crystals, “Fimbulwinter grabs and orange rectangle crystal from besides his throne, its glow tinting the air orange. “which naturally elevate one’s lust. I also added into both some geo crystals. This will double the crystals output but they breakdown within 36 hours. Anyway, past my gemcrafting.”
“Fluorsar and I arrived at the trial grounds the day before the Trial of the Ice heart bow. The Trial of the Ice Heart Bow is like the Fire Dragons Lord’s trial with the Blood Scepter. The only difference is that the bow moves of its own accord into the mountains so now even the previous Dragon Lord doesn’t know where it goes or what challenges the contestants will have.”
“Now the days before the trail, while it wasn’t smiled upon, it wan’t uncommon for dragons to fuck to let of some steam. That was where our opportunity lied. Fluorspar and I placed both gems in spots where lots of dragons would meet up. Then I crafted two of the gems into a necklace and placed it around fluorspar. Finally, I used my Fleshcraft and gave Fluorspar a gift. Her pheromone output is about ten or more times stronger than any dragoness. Combined with an accident she can control what pheromones she can produce and the effect desired. The one she uses the most is for sexual appeal and lust, but she also has ones for appearing trustworthy, and even one for danger.”
“Fluorspar went to the gathering spot where Permafrost was at. He was the favorite to win, so plenty of dragoness were flirting with him, but none were having sex, due to his father ideals. All it took was Fluorspar to come by, talk to him a little, and he was on her like ice snow on the mountain tops. According to her, he fucked her for eight or more hours straight. I on the other hand was tired because of the fleshcraft so I was asleep by the time everydragon was fucking. I did wake up twice to see origes and humping piles. It was a good thing I was so tired, because if not I would have dived right in.”
“So, the next day came and everydragon was sore. The only time they didn’t show signs of fatigue was when Lord Glacier came and started the trail, but I think he knew something was off due to the way almost everydragon was walking afterward. It was a good thing to. I’m not the fastest dragon. In-fact Obsidian actually told me I’m one of the slowest, but because all the other contestants were fatigue I was actually in the lead part of the dragon. Where I did, shine was strength. I was able to collapse several tunnels, stop boulders, even pin three other dragons, and threw them down a cliff.”
“I still almost lost though. Permafrost knew that mountain range like the back of his hand. In the last five minutes it was a sprint between us. He got a head and went down the shorter path and collapsed it, so I was forced to take the longer one. I took a gamble and used my control over crystal to have them grow into a wall of gems. It was the last think I had energy for, I nearly collapsed, but it payed off. I still remember Permafrost’s face when I gabbed that bow before him. The look of unbelief that he lost. I wish I could show it to you Eros.”
“I learned later that a lot of my success that day was due to actions of Permafrost. You see that dragon, while receiving some of the best training for all things physical, magical, and mental he still wasn’t certain he was going to win. It seems like he had the guards run countless laps the days before the trail to make sure none of the guards, including Captain Obsidian would participate. In fact I think he even tried to poison Obsidian so he couldn’t compete. There were also some scrolls, where I found threats and orders to detain some of the strongest competitors. I guess I may even need to thank Permafrost for the throne, if he still wasn’t a pain.” The Dragons Lord’s eyes narrowed in furry.
“Since that day, he tried to blame his sabotages on me, and tried to cause a rebellion. Currently he is captured, but several of the lords of this land want him to be the Dragon Lord, and while they haven’t called for open rebellion yet, I have found signs of a silent rebellion. Tiger Agate is proof of that. Eros I have tried to corrupt Permafrost, but ever since the day he lost the trail his mind has been closed. Sure, Fluorspar may have caused him to spill his plans, but I can’t get into his mind. He even is resisting the crystal’s powers, because he knows they come from me. He saw how the crystals trapped him, he knows that they are under my control and so he resists them. I am at a lost.” The Dragon Lord’s head sinks as he admits his defeat.
“Is there anything you recommend for me to corrupt him? Should I keep him imprisoned and hope his will breaks? Should I try to almost bury him in Tamarkin Crystals? Should I show him of what I did to his father and hope that that breaks his mind and will. Or should I just risk an all-out rebellion and kill him? I am at a lost Eros. Please if you have any advice for your servant, show me how to bend that…. That…. LIZARD to your will, and have him stop being a thorn in my side. Have you ever dealt with a problem like this? How did you work around it?”

I knew that Spoiled Rich would act that way! Wooo! Praise Kek for autism!
Anyway... Lord Eros! It's a honor to work for you even if my loyalty in the end is to Lord Kek. But that makes me curious... Do you know Lord Kek? Do you know of him or have you even met him?! I only know him by his godly touch and through his messenger Pepe. Also, something I have been thinking about, what will happen to the avatar when his mission is completed? Will he remain or will he... Not? And if he remains, what will he be?
As for upgrades: 8577119 and 8577276 I am afraid I must disagree with affinity for plants for now as we do not know how powerful the Everfree is. It is just to risky. But lets ask that: Oh Lord Eros. Do you know about the Everfree forest? And then, how much do you know? Do you know anything that can be of assistance in determining if it can be handled? If there were a trait for wisdom I would argue for it but for now I agree with maxing out intelligence. Zexis is not a fighter but a trickster. If any points are left over, go for dominant or charismatic, which ever gets the most votes. This way we can gain more information about ponies by analyzing behaviors and action better. And knowledge is power. Dominant or charismatic is so that we can use the knowledge in a non-violent way.
That is all for now.

regarding the increase of intelligence to the maximum, which for now I assume is lvl 3, it may or may not be possible to do that.
This is also why I asked the question regarding the increase in cost per new lvl of a trait. if the cost doubles each time we will have enough, if it only costs one more per lvl we will also have enough but if lvl 3 intelligence requires 5 points we won't be able to pick that trait twice. though I do agree that it is a good idea to max out intelligence. it gives bonuses to everything... well at least everything that requires you to think.
this also reminds me,
Nohen could you update the chapter where all the stats are located to also display the cost of levelling-up a trait and the current level of the traits we have that would be really helpful. thank you in advance.
Will leave it to idiots who think their all for the female race, to screw up and get themselves boned. Can't say am sad or disappointed by it, she's a monster in a far worse way than anyone else ever could be. though underestimating her would be a mistake.
I have a few questions I just have to ask, though you have no obligation to answer!
First and foremost, have you had a good day?
So far you got versed in a number of our dear elements of harmony, what do you think of the ones you've managed to see thus far, any favorites?
Out of curiosity out of all our 'heroes' from From Twilight and company to Shining armor and Princess Cadence, which do you think is the most damaging to our goals? passively and if they found out aggressively.
Your agent and our dear friend seems to have gotten smitten by dear Princess Twilight, any thoughts of that?
Do you know and know the difference between Intelligence and wisdom?
Have you ever (,had forgive me for using such a strong word for this pathetic creature) an opponent like 'Spoiled Rich' that wasn't Celestia or Luna?
Did you ever find out how ponies can such uncannily accurate names?
Last one, Do you think yo- no WE will win, we fight for similar if not the out-right same goal. back to it at hand, do you think we will win?
Farewell, and I hope my questions greet you well.
Gentle breeze guide you path, a warm smile welcome you home.
8577531
I know. As such I suggest we upgrade it as much we can and spend the rest of the points in other things.
8577531
I updated the EXTRA - chapter, while I was at it.
Note, that I only wrote in the current price for the traits. What this means is, that it prevents you from upgrading a trait two times in a row. This has multiple reason, apart from balancing, that are essential to the story.
In general, you can expect a doubling of the price on a level up, but at the last level (which is not always the third one) it gets a x2,5 increase or more. Given that the last level of a trait can be quite powerful, this should be expected.
Also, there will be a new way to spend your CPs that will be introduced in the upcoming Interlude.
Hope it helps with your strategy.
I wonder if there will be a nemesis of Zexis...some pony, just a normal citizen, a smart guy, who actually figures uot, someone wants to destroy the Puruty Laws? And then the two of them would fight a long, exhausting mind-game to figure out the other identity. The nemesis of Zexis...like a stallion, who is very conservative and likes the way of the current things. Or maybe Cadence, the actual love godess, and the rival of Eros. Not Twilight, she is too naive to even realize those many changed ponies. Maybe Starlight, but Zexis is too carefull with her, so she cant be it. Maybe a friend of Roseluck, who want revenge on the pony, who turned her friend into a slut. I would love to see.
The mist rolls back revealing a blue dragon setting on a throne of ice. His eyes seems glassed over as if lost in another time.
"8577794, I believe the pony you are referring to is Celestia. Once ponyville is corrupted then she will be after Zelix. And she will have lots of resources and will be trying to figure out where Zelix is from. I understand you said normal pony. So you are referring to a minor character. If so that title goes to Starlight (Since she doesn't like Zelix,) or Spoiled due to her attitude to Zelix."
"Maybe, I'm not getting what you want exactly, but remember we are still in the level one area of this story. We will be getting plenty of obstacles and pure mares and stallions in the future. So ... I'm guessing I'm saying be patient. Zelix will be facing many of these characters soon enough. He already did with Zecora."
The mist closes in as the dragon's eyes close, offering him dreams of the past.
Spoiled really needs to be taken down a notch. Preferably, enough notches to invert that dominant trait of hers.
8577707
okay thats that helps.
now we can even see exactly when we are going to max a certain stat how useful
it might be a good idea to copy paste this somewhere where everyone at least has a good chance of seeing it. some don't read the comments or if they don't read them very thoroughly and would miss something like this and it is fairly useful information.
*the man's outline could be seen once again in the dark room. Once again leaning on his elbows on his desk and his chin on his hands. And once again only his red glowing eyes could be seen with full detail. The man then grinning a bit. Showing his fangs.
"Hello Eros. I would be courteous and say my name. But unfortunately I can't. After all"
Then his grin grew ever wider.
"I can't let the peaple over here find out out that one of their 'heroes' is supporting such an... 'Interesting' project."
The male then let it a sigh
"As I stated before. I was watching from the very beginning. But refrained from fully participating until I was certain that this really have a chance of suceding. But now that I am certain of that. I fully intend of give my full help."
The man's outline could be seen tilting his head a bit. Fanged grin still in full display
"Though I have a small question. What is your endgame for the Avatar? What will be his fate when he completed his mission succefully? What then? As for the upgrades. My only suggestion is to upgrade his intelligence. He is taking too much risks that a person with good intellect could have foreseen coming. We need to increase our chances at winning this cold war and the main weapon being an overconfident idiot will only decrease our chances of winning"*
Okay, Interlude is next, and that means it will be time to vote on upgrades. (For new comers, you only vote in the Interlude chapter, don't vote in this chapter)
We got 6 CP to work with, and mainly upgrades that cost 2 or 4 points, so we got possible combinations to choose.
8577119
8577276
8578711
Nice to see some folks with the same thoughts of upping intelligence, though I have to agree with 8577414 for other reasons. The max cap of affinity for plants should really be help for dealing with the Everfree, but that's not the focus right now, and we need to vote on what can help with the Spoiled Rich/Apple Farm situation. Which I'm sure a greater intelligence will surely have.
As for the remaining points, I'll have to again agree with Makuta, dominant and charismatic perks. Greater intelligence, dominance, and charisma will be helpful in dealing with both the Apple Farm and Spoiled Rich.
Greater dominance for keeping Big Mac in control and combating Spoiled Rich's dominant nature.
Greater charisma for better working around Applejack's and Spoiled Rich's attitudes.
Greater intelligence for a better mind to plan against the obstacles. Not to mention the boost to gaining CP helps in the long run.
Choosing these base traits could help him if he is caught again in a situation where he can't use items or magic.
Zexis has only two days to come up with a plan to deal with the Apple Farm. Not a lot of time for any traits that require a lot of training to be properly incorporated into a plan that Spoiled Rich will find acceptable. Though a greater intelligence and charisma can help sell whatever plan Zexis comes up with.
I'm glad that Nohen changed it for Interludes to happen at times other than just before a battle. That allows any upgrades that require training/crafting time to develop for them to be effective when used.
The human reads over the latest chapter, laughing as he went as the giant gate behind him hummed with gathered energy. "Heh, I kinda like her. We'll have to kill or break her of course, but it's fun meeting someone who is also ambitious and evil.
But anyways, Q&A time.
My big one is do we lose points if we kill someone we've 'sacrificed'?
Do alicorns have auras that change and modify the ponies behaviors?
If so, how do you counteract it?
Where does Cadence fall in relation to you? After all, many loving relationships have a lot of lust involved as well.
Seriously, what's her whole deal?
Can we summon or control demons? Can they be summoned and controlled in general?
If Zexis had a child, what would they be like? Just a normal pony, or would they be another conduit for your power?
Anyways, moving on to the rest. I still think we should start specializing into charisma and seduction. Get the various addictive cum, and addictive sex, as well as boosting our Charisma and other social skills. "
The man finished dictating to his virtual screen before turning it off.
"Alright, let's see if this works. Begin start up sequence." He ordered. The humming energy built to a crescendo, and the air screamed as it was torn apart by the vast energies the machine was using.
"Great! Open Sesa-" The feed suddenly cut off in a burst of white light, before fading to static.
8579249
No, it just means you cannot vote for the same trait two times in the same Interlude. The question was how high the price was for the max level of a trait.
You can upgrade existing traits. You just can't skip one level, that is all.
8579277
Okay, so that means, for example, a level 1 dexterity cannot be voted to level 2 then to level 3 in the same Interlude. It would have to be upgraded to level 2 in one Interlude, then upgraded to level 3 in the next Interlude.
I've seen people trying to do that in past Interludes.
I'm writing this progression system out very clearly more for other folks who read the comments than for myself, just as a means of trying to keep as many people on the same page. Though I'm sure there will still be questions/confusion despite the efforts made to avoid otherwise.
a figure emerges from the shadows, wearing a Japanese schoolgirl uniform
ah,but eros is speaking to us once more!and this time, my plans can be shown. i wish to make a second one, a female, to be a...assistant to zexis.she'll be such a bright spark!ah! but they call me away once more
she fades into the shadows
Admist a stormy see a large pillar stands beneath a strang device. A single maiden stands chained to the pillar as a large onyx leviathan wraps itself around the pillar. Using his massive, scaly claws the levithan taps the woman and gills form at her neck as a wave of fear and excitement wash over his disciple. The serpant snaps the chains and tosses his newsest addition to the seas below. He turn his angular face to the device before commanding it to she its creator. Before the serpant stands an image of eros.
"So this is the corruption god the others speak of. I find your methods enticing to say the least but i wonder, why were you so pleased to see the collective chose a zebra? I understand your connection to them but wouldn't a pony work better? Would you at all have relation to the alicorn blood? If not just where does a beast like yourself come from?"
The serpant scratchs its chin, scraping a few gargantuan scales loose.
" all the same corruption is a fun method to the end of times. As a beast known for destroying worlds, what are your opinions on ending the world rather then corrupting? That is all i wish to know for now."
The device flicks off as the serpant crushes the pillar and retreats to its ocean home.
8577817
I dont know...Spoiled is not carefull enaugh, she belives she is in full control, so Zexis can take her out of the picture soon or later. I imagined a really minor character, omeone with less importance in the current story. Starlight would be a good candidate, but she's just too obvious to choose. I imagined a yet unknown character, who dosent even met with Zexis yet. Like Kira and L from Death Note.
Amidst the vast darkness of the Cavern of the Forgotten, the Ancient One is seen by their subterranean lake pushing a large mass of crystal towards the waters below. "Should be plenty for attunement, the moon is right as always... Ah well met Eros its good to see You!"
They say with great enthusiasm. " I must say your avatar is in quite the pickle, not one he cant work himself out of-course, but still." They say with mild worry but quickly changes to a lite tone. "But beyond that I must ask two things can the Zebra bimbo provide any use for his efforts and two have you ever encountered any simpleminded ignorant mares like this 'Spoiled Bitch' as it were?"
8577119
8579203
8578711
About traits, as always, we are faced with two strategies: Taking advantage of what works well for Zexis, or counteracting weak points.
Overall, I am left wondering what an increase in plant affinity will do for us at this moment. Zexis hasn't made much use of it since communicating with the Everfree. Would a higher affinity put it more under his control? He has yet to experiment with his powers as he was asked to as well.
On the other hand, he is using his charisma and his dominance again and again, and his smarts sometimes, as he did here. Perhaps it makes sense to focus on what comes more naturally to him?
8577191
Unsurprising. Her disdain for men overall is quite apparent.
That, and he seems unfazed by what he's witnessing; neither the new school teacher fucking one of his students in the schoolhouse, nor his mistress not taking it to the guards without evaluating what she can get out of it and openly talking about her desire to take over the town. Curious, considering his corruption trait is only at a two.
8580144
I would imagine Princess Cadance would do everything in her power to destroy our puppet if she ever gets to truly know him. She might sense how he is perverting the very concept of Love.
Agreed about Spoiled. She has never dealt with anything like Zexis. She overestimates her cleverness. This will be what leads to her downfall. We shall see how much the title "Spoiled Bitch" will be accurate once Zexis is finished with that one.
8579418
Yes, I would like to know as well if Eros has the power to create more life with Ponyville's rising corruption. Not on the level of another Avatar, perhaps. A lesser divine servant? Mayhap a demon slave created just to aid Zexis in his quest?
8581174
*facepalm*i just need a supporter!then i would create the second avatar! this is why I don't usually comment.
8581359
With or without support, you first need to know if it's even possible.
8581359
8581392
I am afraid, it is not. Eros will go into detail storywise, but in gameplay terms it would just not be viable. This story is about Zexis and creating a second avatar would detract from him and also not work out on multiple other levels.
Now, when it comes to inserting a new character into the story, I would like to point to my OC-Contest. These are the ones, where you readers can put in your ideas of characters that should appear in the story and with some luck, I will grant you that wish. Derbspy here was the lucky one in the last contest. Tin Soldier is his creation.
So, nightmare lover, if you want to bring in your ideas about a character, wait for the next contest. It will probably arrive around january/february.
8581670
so be it. there are other equestrias, other chances, I will find someone else to support it.i will if i have to find an empty world of nothing...interesting and work my own way, heading in there myself.enough chatter here.
I really like tangible traits rather than ones like intelligence that are intangible. I think we should get stuff like addictive cum or more fun things that Zexis can use his existing intelligence to create plans for. I am glad more intelligence won't be an option this time around.
Come on every pony! lets choose fun traits!
8582172
First of all, intelligence is an option to upgrade. Since the current cost is 2 CP, that makes me think that Zexis has a Level 1 intelligence, meaning there's still at least Level 2 and Level 3 to obtain; the current max cap for most traits is three. Though I could be wrong about the current intelligence level, since, if I'm remembering correctly, it was one of the traits Zexis was given when he was built. So like affinity to plants, intelligence had a discount in price to upgrade. So intelligence may be currently level 2. While on that thought, Nohen should probably add a "LV #" beside each trait where Zexis' traits are listed at the top of the Extra Sheet. That way we can keep better track of things, since a story project like this can go a long time, and we can forget things as things go on.
Regardless, intelligence does have a CP price, so that means that it's available for upgrade.
Second, an intangible trait like intelligence can boost tangible traits like alchemy or enchantment. That's what makes base traits like intelligence, charisma, strength, etc. so useful and great to have, since they can aid/boost other traits along with their own abilities they add to a character.
Thirdly, choosing only "fun" things instead of what Zexis may need for the situation could result in a "game over", and we don't get any redo's. So unless the "fun" things you want can be arguably used to help Zexis' current situation, you need to think of what can get Zexis through the obstacles so that the story can continue onward, instead of towards a quick end.
Thought I shoot this comment towards you, Nohen.
After responding to another user about intelligence being an option to vote on, it got me to thinking on where you have the list of Zexis traits at the top of the Extra Sheet, you might want to consider putting a "LV #" beside each trait (examples: intelligent LV 1, Affinity for Alchemy LV 2), just so readers have better way of keeping track of how strong a trait is currently. Since a story project like this can go on for long time, readers can forget things, so having a quick level note can be helpful.
I, myself was having trouble remembering Zexis' current intelligence level.
Is it level 1 or 2?
At first I thought it was level 1 since the current price is 2 CP, since (fast and tough for example) 1 CP acquires a level 1 trait, and 2 CP unlocks level 2. However, I then remember that when building Zexis, he was given level 1 traits like intelligence and affinity to elements (plants). Since affinity to elements (plants) had a discount to level 2 as a result, then that meant intelligence had some discount too. Meaning for intelligence, the 2 CP cost will unlock level 3.
See what I mean about having the level listed with the trait. Readers may forget what the current level is, and become confused as a result.
oh, you are right. I misread what eros said, I though he said that we couldn't vote for the same trait as we did in the last interlude, but he actually said we can't upgrade the same trait twice in the same interlude.
Still, I want to again reiterate that it will be more interesting, and arguably more useful if he has a wider variety of abilities to combine with the traits he already has, than if he is handsome, intelligent, strong, charismatic, ect. That is like the gary sue vote or something. I hope my side wins in the votes ^.^

Well, Zexis trait currently is "intelligent". No addition to it, which means it is level one.
In general, traits that have been upgraded have further additions like "high", "big" or "huge". Best example: Zexis got "big dick" as one of his starting traits, you then chose to upgrade it further making it "huge dick" (level 2). Most traits can be analyzed this way. The bigger the superlative, the higher the level.
Tin Soldier has the trait "extremely tough", which indicated that is at least level 3.
I don´t like to put numbers behind traits like this, because I find it jarring story-wise. I will think about putting them in the EXTRA-chapter, but until then this should give you a good idea how high Zexis traits are.
And if nothing else, you can always check the last Interlude and the chapter after it, to see how Zexis traits got upgraded or added.

Unless you make that distinction, like you did just now, most people are not likely to pick up on that method.
You would need to make a note somewhere that properly explains.
For example:
no word addition to trait = level 1
"high", "big", "huge" = level 2
"extremely" = level 3
Also, without some note for explanation, there's the issue of people not knowing that different words mean the same thing.
Some folks could think have thought that "big" and "huge" are not the same. They could have thought that "huge" indicates a higher level than "big".
You need something clear cut to make sure that others will certainly be able to understand.
You don't need to put "LV #" in the actual story narrative, never said you had too, but you could place them in the statistic areas like the Extra Sheet, or the footnotes where other character statistics are at the end of a chapter.
But yeah, definitely consider putting something in the Extra Sheet.

I think you forget that most traits grow exponentially in effect each level, every level 2 trait will give a bigger bonus then the level 1 trait. Also the type of character you want to make (a jack of all traits) will never be able to beat a specialized opponent. Even if you are much more versatile you will find that after a while we will walk against a wall where we would need at least level 3 in something to make it through the encounter. To be exact we have already walked against such a wall, not a very large one but still a wall. With this I mean of course the fact that Zexis didn't have the intelligence to understand Twilight's magic. Other walls might be the need to be more specialized in alchemy or enchanting or the need for more charisma just to name a few.
8582692 indirectly names another one of these walls for intelligence. The ability to learn, build and decipher. If Zexis gets good enough at alchemy and Enchanting to start working on the more difficult enchantments and potions but isn't intelligent enough to even understand the recipe we will have a problem. Especially when someone doesn't want anyone ells to know a recipe and has written it in code, something many paranoid individuals tend to do. Especially with alchemy it is very easy to hide recipes in the form of a cook book or a book about pretty much anything that needs ingredients.

Like I explained above, it's also not just what is useful, but what is used. Case in point:
Up to this point, Zexis never had sex with a mare not already under his control in some form. Addictive Cum probably wouldn't have helped any. It might even have been detrimental because his slaves would be even more fixated just on him, meaning they might be less effective at working on others since all they really care about is being fucked only by Zexis.

*Entering incognito mode*
I got some questions about the world. What is Mundus creation... Myth I suppose? What was the Sin War? Were did the Gods and Demons come from? What about Tartarus? What is its history? Is there a "heaven" or a opposite to Tartarus? What can you tell us about it if so? What happen when you die? Who are the First Dead, the Worst Sinner and the Greatest Fool? How does one become a god? Oh and is there a risk that the other gods or even the Overdeities can intervene in our mission? For good or bad? So if demons destroy and/or pervert things then are there demons that corrupts "bad" things like war? Are there "good" demons so to speak?
I am curios :)
But yes that is all for now.

Ok I am done now. For real this time.

its gotten better since the start though! Read on.
Also I think there might be some refinements to the early chapters upcoming, but I'm not certain of that

*"Quick question then. Can intelligence eventually be upgraded to Genius?"*
8583329
A jack of all trades character is much more fun to read about because you never know what they will do to solve a problem, whereas for a character with a few level 3 abilities, there is a readily available solution for most problems that is quite predictable. With level 3 traits, it becomes, "is my level3 trait good enough for this situation?" A jack of all trades character allows for more creativity. Low level abilities aren't overpowering, but they are still useful.
I would vote against upgrading zexis to the point where he understands every single thing, because I think its detrimental to the story. A character shouldn't understand everything. I am not worried about zexis being killed off, I think he has enough tricks that its unlikely to happen, and even if we don't spend points on basic attributes, the points are still being spent. It's not like they are lying around unused. For intelligence, he just thought of a clever scheme to sneak a pill into spoiled richs' drink. He isn't stupid right now.

The problem with the jack of all trades thing, is that.....
WE CAN LOSE. ZELIX can be kidnapped killed or put in prison. Sure Nohen told us he would warn us if we put Zelix in that situation, but not everything will go our way. So giving him everything, as a jack of all trades, doesn't mean an interesting way for things to go well for Zelix. We need to be smart, and choose and level up traits we need. We need to specialize. and then diversify slightly.
Its like college.
We choose a degree and work towards that degree with the class.
For example a scientist is going to take chemistry and biology. Maybe physics and engineering. But he won't learn english and history. If he did, there would be more years of college, and not all of it is going to be used in that degree.
So lets choose a path, build up that path, then diversify from there. Lets not cover generals. Lets get a bachleors or an real degree we can use. Not generals, and be a jack of all trades.
8584440
okay let's see if I can get a better example of the most likely result of a Jack of all trades character. For this example I shall use D&D 2nd edition, not quite the same but you can create a true jack of all trades character in D&D 2nd edition that is most like what a jack of all trades Zexis would be. You can make a character that has multiple classes, in theory you can make a character that has all classes and is unspecialised in all of them. The downside to making such a character is that like here with traits the different classes level separately as all gained xp is divided and given to each class separately. This results in your character levelling a lot slower then those of other players. the problem with this is that when the rest of the players advance to level 5 (and have thus become a lot more powerful) you will probably have just levelled your classes to level 2 and the distance will only become bigger and bigger. if given enough time your character might become strong but you will need to spend a lot time with that character and that is time the other players won't give you. you might be able to do everything but when fighting anything the other players can take on by the time you get to level 3 you might be better they they were at level 3 but doing everything they could at level 3 isn't good enough if you need to be at least level 10 in something to even be able to hurt your opponent in a way that is actually going to hurt it.
What I want to say is that given time we can make Zexis into a jack of all traits but that is time we don't have and will cost points we don't have to spend. It is why when playing things like MMO's or really any RPG you have classes and often fight in a group consisting of various specialists. We can't be good at everything and keep up with more and more threats, we can't deal with threats if we don't have the traits we need to deal with them and eventually we will run into a wall when we can't corrupt anyone any more because all the ones we could corrupt with basic traits have run out leaving only the ones that need more then just level 1 of everything.
Also as to why intelligence and charisma are so popular in the current situation. With these traits we can gather other specialists around us who can fill in our weaknesses and give us the time to expand our own set of options. We need to specialize until we have maxed out a few things and then we can expand into other traits.
This has more realism than a DnD adventure. More complexity in planning is available, more courses of action than "try to damage with x skill". You're right about video game or RPG adventures, but in this case, there is no group of specialists. Zexis is on his own. A specialist will do what he specializes in, and zexis specializes in corrupting people. However, the more tools he has in that regard, the better. In video games, a level 1 skill may not be useful, but in this case, I feel it would be useful, particularly because the max level on things in this is pretty low to start with.
Maybe I am not as concerned about the story ending as the average reader. I fully believe Zexis can find a way through any situation! Am I overconfident!? The fact that he has a silver tongue alone is enough to get him out of the vast majority of situations. It is not enough for me that ponyville is corrupted, but also the way it happens. Zexis deserves to have many tools to use!
8586598, Zelix has many weakness. First of is his strength. Secondly money. Third standing in the Community. Fourthly power. And that isn't including the effort it takes to corrupt ponies. Look. 8585225, is right. We have used our intelligence and charisma to cover obvious flaws. For example. We have Big Mac. He covers our lack of brutal strength. He have Birdhoof who has given us more resources. Both of those ponies. (Three total) was allowed us to take down Zecora. If we didn't have any of those three we would have lost. So we need to strength Zelix in corrupting skills such as intelligence and charisma, and then gain other allies who can help us in areas we lack.
I do have to agree that this story is different that DnD. But, remember! Nohen has told us, we can LOSE!!! Not just start another campaign, if all characters die! Besides, I don't think anyone of us want to see Zelix dead or imprisoned.
What I'm saying that there is no guarantee of Eros returning. There is no guarantee that Zelix will fuck Celestia. Heck there is no guarantee that Big Mac, will remain our ally as long as he is fucking his sisters.
If there was such a guarantee, then the issue with Zecora would have never happened. Because we focused on the School, hospital, apples, and the castle of friendship, we neglected Zecora. So became stronger and almost won. If such a guarantee that Zelix would still win, regardless of strategy or what skills we chose to power up, then Zecora wouldn't have powered up. And Zelix could have beaten her by himself.
But, if you want another example of why a jack of all trades is bad. Think of the following example. If we were to corrupt everypony at the same time, with suggestions, and use the slow gradual corruption that each individual has shown, then Zelix wouldn't have corrupted anyone already. By gaining key figures, you gain access to influence and power, which if you corrupt those ponies in power, they can corrupt others. Leading to many people on the job. But that means you focus on few ponies, and make sure they are completely corrupted and loyal to you. Because if you don't then, everyone is just half ass corrupted, and no true change has occurred.
Sorry if I rambled, but I just feel like I'm not explaining it, but I'm trying so hard to make it seem clear, but I feel like you stil don't see what I'm trying to say.

Branching out is fine. But I believe it should be done with a strategy in mind. We have left Zexis quite often with vague orders and guidelines, though it needs to be said he tends to sway from a particular path quite often.
Do you have a specific thing in mind you wish Zexis to accomplish with his new skills?

I got an idea, from a different story I read. It is more of a safeguard after we conquer ponyville. Its suppose to stop visitors like babs seeds.
