Besides 'the plot' what reason would Dash suspect that Gilda would be the one on the other side of the door?

She never did. It was a surprise when Rainbow opened the door and saw Gilda there. Rainbow was contemplating who could be on the other side, when she actually opened the door and was surprised at Gilda's presence.

Jeez, dude, the unexpectedness is off the charts! Please find other words to use; I feel not enough unexpectedness can be contained in one bloody synopsis!
