1,000 years ago, the Elements of Harmony were used to seal away the corrupted Nightmare Moon. However, one alicorn using the purest and most ancient magical power known to Equestria against her beloved sister shattered their connection with the Elements. Over the course of that millennium, without the power of the Elements to guide them to happiness, one by one the ponies of Equestria began to lose faith in their remaining princess and grow more and more discontent. In the present, there are six new bearers of the Elements, and Harmony has been restored. But it is too late. The seeds unknowingly planted 1,000 years ago are finally growing to maturity, and all of Equestria is faced with a growing crisis as the dissatisfied ponies unify and speak out for the first time. When Princess Luna vows to take these ponies under her wing and leave Equestria with them for the moon, Rainbow Dash makes an impulsive decision that will change everypony's life forever.

It'd be interesting to understand why they hate Celes' rule, and why she couldn't just take care of the problem herself... or give any useful information for that matter. And exactly why would she refuse to let them leave if it's obvious nothing good would come forcing them to stay?
Given Dashie's position in the picture, she could hypothetically end up on either side. She has reason to be loyal to her friends but not Celes, and she could be loyal to her old friend and maybe something else.
