When Spike's adoptive mother, Hope Healer, escorts a patient to Canterlot things are not always as they seem. Hope is hiding something just as much as her cloaked associate and Spike is the only one who knows what. Now it seems that the past is catching up to the princesses of Canterlot and for once the chaos isn't even caused by Discord! Can Hope's knowledge of the royal family help her and the others save Spike when he's kidnapped by an ancient race known as the Nightmares, or will she fall while trying to bring her family back together?
