Daaaaaamn... brought tears to my eyes. After a month of struggling to help her get better, my dog (who was 16 years old, a year older than me), who I had known my entire life was put down and just... damn. Sorry about your loss, man ;~;

Definitely hits hard for me. I lost the last 2 surviving members of my canine family last year, their dad the year prior and mom two years beyond that. My family raised the patriarch when I was a kid and the pups were an offspring from following litters. I had memorialized a few in one of my stories
