Christ, has it been a year already? It feels like an eternity since I sat do/say thank you to everyone who read it, and a special thank you to those who commented on it and left both condolences and praise. It's hard to believe that something I wrote so quickly and rather sloppily was so well received. Thank you again to all of you, and happy month of Halloween!

On Thursday I published "Goodbye, Ol' Girl", a fic dedicated to my dog Zoey. And let me tell you guys something.

I honestly cannot believe how well received it was. I literally wrote it in less than an hour, didn't edit it and had to submit it TWICE and it got 14 upvotes on DAY ONE?! Honestly, I was half expecting to post it and get absolutely terrible feedback. But, it was apparently good enough to bring tears to at least one readers eyes, something I didn't count on.
