It's a stallion Ponyville...well it could be worse..

I don’t know what weird game Twilight is playing with this male thing and Spines with the female thing, but this is creeping me out…a lot! I am sincerely hoping for somepony to yell April Fools or something any minute now, preferably by Pinkie Pie.

So, right now, exploring Ponyville yeah! Living the Brony Dream!

“You ready, Joey?” Dusk asked me
“Born ready” I replied confidently
“You sound like my friend Rainbow Blitz” Dusk commented

Rainbow Blitz? Doesn’t Dusk mean Rainbow Dash? What is Dusk gonna name Pinkie Pie? Bubblegum?

The pair of us exited the library and there was it was: Ponyville! It has Rarity’s boutique, Sugercube Corner, Golden oak Library of course and Town Hall. I sort of feel like a giddy kid about to open his presents on his birthday, In fact I was smiling so much, someone around here might mistake it for a maniac…or Pinkie Pie.

I noticed one thing, there seems to be a lot of stallions around, like a LOT of Stallions. I’ve only seen about six mares. What? Did some random event happen to make Stallions want to come to Ponyville? I swear some of them look reeeeeeeaaaaall familiar too. AHHH, what am I even doing? Just go tour Ponyville with Dusk Shine and then you can go wonder about these things later.

“So, where are we going?” I asked
“Well, there’s so many places you need to go before you can truly say you’ve been here and believe me, I know. But the question is, where should I take you first? Oh, I knew I should have made a checklist!” Dusk wondered
“Well, why not meet this Elusive pony that keeps getting brought up?” I suggested
“That’s a great idea, I’m sure he’ll be glad to see you’re okay although fair warning, if he looks like he’s checking you out, he’s just checking your measurements” Dusk warned

Okay that’s awkward! Worst of all is Elusive must be Rarity! Weird Level: 99.9%

Here we are, the Boutique. This must be it!

KNOCK KNOCK!

Twil-I mean Dusk Shine knocked on the door.

“Elusive? You in there?” Dusk asked
“Just one moment” A posh male voice came from the other side of the door

About 3 minutes later the door opened and the white unicorn everyone could recognize as Rarity opened the door only like our dear companion Dusk Shine, Rarity had stalliony features which means this must be Elusive!

“Er…hello?” I said
“Oh, goodness! You’re the strange creature I found yesterday” Elusive said

Okay, her…his! His voice is way too posh, it sounds way too girly, we sure Elusive ain’t gay? What? It’s a possibility!

“Yeah, thanks for that by the way, I’m Joseph but everyone calls me Joey” I introduced myself
“I am Elusive, I specialize in fashion like making dresses and suits for ponies as well as finding diamonds. Say, you wear some clothes as well it seems, I can’t wait to design some clothes for you.” Elusive introduces himself

Well…it could be worse…believe me I know.

“Nice to meet you, Dusk here is showing me around town” I said
“Oh that sounds Wonderful! Ponyviille is a wonderful town once you get past its quirks and such, take it from a stallion who’s lived in Ponyville his whole life” Elusive replied
“Well, we best not leave you away from your work, so we best continue the tour, right Joey?” Dusk intervened
“Yes, there is much to do, I got an order from a higher-up Canterlot Elite and it needed to be done yesterday, well not really, but you get the gist of it” Elusive ssaid
“Thanks a lot” I said
“You’re welcome, Darling! Do come by sometime and visit sometime, I’m sure I’ll be less busy then” Elusive said as we took our leave

Okay, getting called darling by a stallion is weird! Especially Rarity acting like this Elusive character? What? Did Dusk mess up a spell and Gender-swap Equestria?

“Alright, where should we go next?” I asked
“Well, knowing Berry Punch, he’s probably onto your scent and knows you’re here, speaking of which, I’m starving, wanna go to Sugarcube Corner?” Dusk says
“Uh sure! I forgot to get something to eat back at the library anyway” I mentioned
“Oh, I’m sorry! How did I completely forget food? This will be one time and then another and then another and before long, BREAKFAST WILL CEASE TO EXIST!” Dusk was starting to freak

News Flash, Dusk Shine freak out over a simple breakfast. I guess I really shouldn't be surprised since I've seen Twilight freak out over a casual visit from Princess Celestia.

“DUSK! It’s okay! So we miss one breakfast, breakfast is overrated anyway and I doubted you had any bacon” I mentioned
“You eat meat?” Dusk stopped in his tracks
“Yeah and veggies, we’re…what do you call it? Om…Omn…Omavores?” I tried to remember
“Close, Omnivores is the word you’re looking for” Dusk said
“Before you ask, we don’t eat ponies, we eat non-sapient animals. The only way we would ever eat sapient animals if we were THAT desperate, code black hunger!” I mentioned
“Well, that’s a relief! Last thing I want is to be eaten in my sleep” Dusk wiped his head in relief.
“Well if we don’t hurry up getting to Sugarcube Corner, I may have to eat you right here and now” I said
“Okay, we’re going!” Dusk said
“HEY DUSK!” a voice called from Overhead

I saw it, the Cyan Pegasus with the rainbow mane: Rainbow Dash or if my luck is telling my anything it’s a stallion version of her.

Hey, Rainbow Blitz!” Dusk said as his friend landed
“So who’s the tall dude?” Blitz asked
“That’s our new friend, Joey” Dusk introduced me for like the 3rd time already.
“The name is Rainbow Blitz, fastest flier in Equestria and don’t let anypony tell you otherwise” Blitz shook my hand politely

So Blitz and Dusk were whispering things to each other and I trailed off in my own thoughts. Blitz was clearly Rainbow Dash a stallion…and it hits me like a train, a really heavy one with bitch slapping capabilities.

This world IS definitely Equestria but not THE one I KNOW, it’s a different universe where the Genders have flipped, so that explains why their names are different, they look the same only stallion-like and that’s why there’s a lot of stallions over mares! I am willing to bet my ticket back to Earth that Celestia and Luna are also male and called something else and the villains have all done so as well.

IT ALL MAKES SENSE NOW!! I can’t believe I didn’t see it before! Still, I can’t help but feel a tiny bit disappointed, I liked the female Equestria, the one we all know and love but beggars ain’t choosers. But any Equestria is good enough for me, as long as it ain’t an evil one or something, I don’t fancy myself as much of a hero.

“Joey, you coming?” Dusk snapped me out of my thoughts

I had just realized Dash…I mean Blitz sped off while I was in my thoughts. Man, I am slow!

“Oops, wasn’t paying attention” I said
“Er, that’s okay, anyway, to Sugarcube Corner!” Dusk trotted on

This may be a little weird and may take some getting used to but I can’t say this weirdness isn’t enjoyable…

Author's Note:

Honestly, i thought it would be better for the Male versions of the ponies to have a slightly different attitude but not completely different at the same time, there are a fair few things that would of been treated differently by different genders.

love these types of stories because we don't really get to see them that often but I'd prefer it if every character was gender flopped AKA the human being female but i'll take what I can get.

This isn't bad at all. It could use some proofreading/editing/etc., there are a lot of typos, grammar mistakes and such (you tend to forget periods at the end of sentences, for instance), but it's not too distracting overall. The plot itself isn't exactly new, but interesting nonetheless.

We hardly know anything about Joseph though, other than he's a brony, and supposedly an adult since he was driving a car. Developing his personality a little (but not necessarily his background story on Earth, as no one really cares about that in HiE stories unless it's relevant to the plot) would be nice.

So overall, this isn't a bad story, but not really a story in itself so far, more like a prologue. I'd like to see where this is going.

Also R63 Spike is Barb(ara?), and Pïnkie is Bubble Berry.
