This is a good short story, although barely above 1,000 words, I enjoyed it, thumbs up! :raritywink:

It reminded me of Napoleon Total war as well, and 3 shots a minute is pretty accurate for a very skilled musket user, but yeah, this reminded me of that game which I love. Kudos!

Not a crossover I ever expected to see, though in all honesty kind of disappointing with lack of interaction between the worlds. But still the crossed worked and it is a crossover I would like to see more of.

Not muskets, rifles and if you want to read more of the era the Sharpe's series is a good as it is both books and movies though the movies are far harder to find in the US. But yes three shots a minute is pretty damn good

Were guns machine rifled by the time Napoleon was around? Oh whoops I forgot so, because they began to use rifled muskets, even though the Minie Ball wasn't invented yet, variants of it predated it around Napoleon's time. Very interesting

Yep, rifled firearms had been around for a while though they really weren't used for actual combat until Bony tried to take Europe. In fact Sharpe's unit was the 95th Regiment of the Foot, the 95th Rifles.

Though if you are interested in the era, or at least that century you might want to take a look at reenactments that pop up in your area.

1800's are exciting for sure, War of 1812, Crimea War, American Civil War, Napoleon's Empire. However, I am more of a 1700's type of guy, it was so exciting seeing Prussia tough out battles it shouldn't have won, the British going all out empire mode, and the rise of the USA. I have great respect for these two centuries though, although the worst wars were fought in the 1900's.

Rev War and French and Indian War?

4458472 I highly appreciate your feedback, mate.

4458472 For Sharpe's "Bite, pour, spit, tap, aim" method actually sacrificed accuracy for rounds per minute. It wasn't ideal.

4458865 It was stated early on that they couldn't interact with anything else, it was basically a projection.

I didn't mean to say accurate when I typed it lol
I meant to say quick, as the quickest I ever got with a flintlock was 2 in a minute, but even though it was inaccurate a whole line of troops in formation doing fire and advance was devastating.
