Huh, that went better than I thought it would. Though it was a bit of a surprise that Spike gave up on Rarity for so long and that he was scaring away her suitors. Though it all does make sense when everything is considered. Though I still want to know what is up with Rarity.
Let it goooooo (s'cuse me while I go kill myself)
also, Sidan is the creator of Isis
I hope Rarity never finds another...would server her right that she was so cowardly in never telling Spike bluntly that she would never ever court him, primarily because he is a dragon, but also because Spike is too young for her. It was so simple---just tell him, it wouldn't work, it's just a crush and that he needs to lose the crush for someone that would like him more than just a toy.
Is it wrong for me to kinda hope that? Obviously she is gonna find another, but part of me wants her to be an old maid, and it would be because somehow other stallions would know how Rarity would just toy with stallion's hearts because she knows that most stallions see her ass and her boobs before they truly saw her for her. Most stallions more than likely just want to fuck her, and I bet Rarity's the same way---the handsome stallions have to be wild horses in the boudoir as long as they use protection or restraint.....
Everypony in High Moon knows that Spike and Cyclone have feelings for each other......I really would like to see this through to the end. Spike deserves to finally have someone that loves him and will protect his heart as well as grow with him, and even more I am seeing that Cyclone is the catalyst for Spike finally letting go and improving his emotional well-being as well as his physical. It's shocking how he was still holding on to that stuff and how long he's carried that baggage, so I am very intrigued with how Spike recovers now that he finally has someone that loves him and that he's finally gotten the one thing that he's willing to protect. (ref: the chapter "She's counting on You")
And part of me needs to have closure with Rarity and the rest of the Mane 6. I have to say that none of them are gonna be really pleased that ultimately Spike ran away because Rarity broke his heart and even worse, did it while knowing what was going on, and did not do anything to make him get over it.
I just wanna see a pony die from diabetes
Yesssss... that's right. Stand up for yourself.
Have a you-mustache:

I'm not sure if I'm down with vengeance... evidence of Rarity growing from it, so she won't do it again, and an apology is enough for me.
Really, it seems like what happened with her giving the ruby back is her apologizing for trying to keep him there again. Metaphorically releasing the hold she felt she had on him.

You have a pretty good point.
And I'm sorry---the previous comment was pretty much a bash and a flame on Rarity, because all the stuff finally came to light. And to be frank, it fucking pissed me off all over again---but the anger was for Spike, and how much he suffered because he innocently had feelings for a girl that ultimately put him in the friendzone (and that's being very generous). I just wanted for something good to happen for him, and yes one of the things I wanted was to see that Rarity did have feelings for him but she was afraid of how dating him could happen. At that point, I can accept it and understand. But ultimately it got so bad that we have to worry for his well-being as well for his psyche. I can see that he has apparently finally moved on; the implications that Cyclone likes him and likewise for him with Cyclone are just the same as how Frost and Quill like each other---having some that loves
Maybe I'm channelling a bit of my own experience on Spike's situation. Maybe I'm still naive and believe that if Rarity had just told Spike the business at jump instead of letting it simmer for years, Spike would be in a hell of a better place, and so would Rarity.
........Sorry, I just have a really sore point with things like this. I honestly believe that they truth hurts, but it's good for you. Better to know the truth and cry a day than believe a lie (either blatant or by ommision) and let that go so long that everyone suffers. I know that you want to let people down gently, but sometimes I just have to say "I don't like you that way!!! Get over it!!" regardless of the reaction because soon enough the affected person will recover......
.........God, I look like such a heartless bastard, don't I?
EDIT: And I am really scared because it looks like Spike is gonna get his version of Quill to Frost, or Wolf is to Blaze, but I just think that he's gonna sabotage a promising relationship with Cyclone because of what happened with Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo (Spike broke up with both of them at a cost to himself). And he doesn't even know it. He's not actively doing that, but just things will happen that will turn things sour, and Spike's gonna be alone again, 0 for 4 in the romance department. And if it goes that way, I could see Spike just say "to hell with it" and just let ghost heart turn him into a wyvern......that would truly be a tragedy.

Yeah, Sparity always uh... I don't support it, both because of what it implies for Spike (given Rarity's waffling treatment of him. Sometimes it's wonderful, usually it's less than that), and for what it teaches guys: That if you are just supplicating and servile enough, she'll come around.
She won't.
I think her treatment of Spike would've been better if he were let down sooner. I think it's a teachable moment for Spike, when it comes to crushes. Use this opportunity to teach him manners, but also to help him understand what he might have done wrong, how and what to expect, and let him learn to deal with disappointment instead of letting it fester into bitterness and a self-worth complex. Just part of the basic treatment of the show of Spike as a tiny adult, instead of as a child that is still learning about things.
