The taste of victory eh? Hmm..... Victory tastes like fan service XD. Seriously though, love it as always. Keep it up Sidain. You make me wish more and more that I was part of this story. Despite how much my OC would fuck up the plot line and probably ruin this masterpiece. This story is just too goddamn good to not wish you were part of it in some way.
~The Rift Walker
Neve can get enough of this... But Come On!! You freeking tease! You just had to end it there, didn't you? I have literally been dying for some Spike on Cyclone action, and at the very moment before, you end it with the second most devious cliffhanger I have ever seen!! You've got great skill, but I still am expecting the next chapter to start with some dragon sex!
Please don't fail me, I beg of you.
-someone I can't remember, but I'm sure someone said it.
Great chapter!!! Keep it up! I almost forgot this was a mature story with how long it's been since a sex scene. Lol.
... Spike's element is kinda bad. Sacrifice is what you do when you cannot succeed without sacrifice. I guess I understand the concept behind it, because someone willing to sacrifice when they must is pretty good, but at the same time it's also what you do only when you must. It's especially frustrating since all chapter everyone except Cyclone is lambasting him for having it. What good is an Element that is explicitly one thing that everyone's going to constantly give him shit about? It doesn't seem very heroic.
Although, I think... another part of the problem is that the Ghost Heart thing has essentially been criticizing Spike for being too self-sacrificing the whole story, and this is true. He never got basically anything because he let everyone walk all over him. But now it this seems like the story is rewinding that and saying that sacrifice is good instead, and his character development wasn't about not emotionally being a pushover. That it was all about his physical strength and the direness of the situation, and not that constantly sacrificing himself was a flaw?
And, I know I harp on it a lot, but it's still pretty annoying to see the constant giving of shit going exactly one direction when it comes to Spike and Quill. I figured character development would even that out eventually... but I suspect that there will be no character development when it comes to their relationship.
It seems like Quill is the "grrl power" archetype, so prideful and "strong" and her strength comes out as being mean to others (and actually, mostly Spike) with the caveat that she secretly cares about them, but because she's a strong woman she is allowed to not act like it, and in fact act like she kind of hates Spike, because that would seem weak to make her sentimental. It's an archetype that, if she were a male, it would be a big deal that he learned to not be a jerk to his family he cares about, or not to do the thing Quill does when she's teased back: instead of accepting it in good humor like she expects Spike too, she doubles down and threatens violence because it must be one sided.
Of course, Veil finally comes around, and Spike finally tells Cyclone he loves her, so there's still some pretty exciting stuff going on with Spike.
Damn it! Why do you do this to me? I was getting so excited about the clop part of Spike, and Cyclone. Then, the worst possible thing happens to me : A cliffhanger just HAS to ruin the fun part.
I still enjoyed it nonetheless.
Well dang it a cliff hanger when spike was finally about to get some well it looks like I will have to wait (sigh) well hope you update some and keep doing a great job
