The Pony Dead - Duhad8

Five friends, vacationing together as tensions rise between them. A Cabin, located far from civilization, deep within a dark forest. A book, bound in human flesh and inked in human blood. An evil, long dormant, now awoken. An ax. A word, Groovy.

4259562 Heh, very nice!

I love it, this is great. I seriously got creeped out and tense a few time while reading this. Good job. Not sure where the comedy was though, aside from Lyra's moments of horror movie instinct.

4276957 The comedy bits are more in the camp aspects of the horror. Sorta there to remind people the the story is to be taken less as a straight serious horror tale and more as a over the top B movie style creature feature.

Also I have a very dark sense of humor and found the metal image of Colgate trying to give instructions to Lyra, while being chewed on darkly ridicules.

:twilightoops: I know, it dose not make ton of sense and really seems sorta psychotic, but that's just how I interpret it. Not saying that's the only way or even the right way to read it, but its my way and I got to pick the tabs. So nah! :rainbowwild:

Seriously though, I am glade you enjoyed it! Comments like that make the whole thing worth while to me!

Here's the proof you asked for :pinkiehappy:... Okay, I've never seen Evil Dead (I do know the scene you mentioned though) but regardless of that, this was pretty good. Certainly not the best Fanfic I've ever read but a hell of a lot better than quite a few of the ones I've read. (especially 120 Days Of Blueblood :pinkiesick: and Living The Dream :twilightangry2: ). I've gotta admit, it was creative as far as MLP Fanfics go. I've seen crappy gory shit and crappy horror shit but this wasn't crappy nor shitty. Sure it has its share of minor issues like in the authors notes there are occasional things spelled wrong (like using "seen" instead of "scene") and the fact that you said that Lyra's ankle was bruised when I'm pretty sure ponies don't have ankles, but those are details that can be easily overlooked. Overall, a pretty damn good story.

4498710 Thank you very much!

And I did double check that and they do have ankles apparently. Its the same area of mussels that you have near your foot, but they have four of them and no wrists.

4498756 wow :rainbowderp: I never would have guessed they had ankles. I would have sooner guessed Kickass222urmom had malaria... and I wouldn't have guessed that.

4547477 (Chapter 4 eh?) Oh no! I would never do something that horrible to Bonbon... yet.

4582070 Oh my god, I never even thought of that! :derpyderp2:

4581961 There probably illegible because no one edits my dyslexic misspellings in the author's notes. :twilightblush:

4754041 And that is the point where it all go's just so dame wrong...

How did you do the picture?

4863006 Well it was my friend Gene (Cotton Candy) who drew it. He did do a time lapse of drawing it if you have ten minutes.

I also gave him a pretty detailed list of details to get the right, "movie poster" look. If you look near the bottom you can see I am listed as the Writer/Director, my original editor is listed as the Editor and the artist is listed as the Special Effects Artist, along with all the Hasbro names being given as the "Actress" names for the characters.

I was going to play the joke even further by having all the authors notes be behind the scenes clips and directors commentaries on the fake movie, but that didn't pan out well so I dropped it.

I liked all three of the Evil deads so I will check this out.
