Cadance is a happy mare. She is the niece of Princess Celestia, an alicorn, she cares for a sweet little filly names Twilight, the parents of the filly are among her closest friends, and she even has her eye on a special stallion who is kind and noble. She needs and wants for nothing; she has her whole life in front of her.
But one night a question starts to grow in her mind- exactly how long is this life she has ahead of her? And how much heartbreak will she have to face during it?

Very nice story!
I definitely would not label it dark though. It is not dark in any sense of the word. Maybe the sad tag would be better although it doesn't have a 'sad' ending but it is a tearjerker. Consider changing the tag as people might give this story a skip because of the erroneous tag.
