Heroes have become villains, benevolent leaders now exercise their will on a whimsy, and a world of love and tolerance is just a pin drop away from an armed conflict the likes of which would make world wars pale in comparison. The balance of power is shifting, and every opportunistic pony in Equestria is more than willing to seize what might be their one chance at forging their way into the annals of history.

Twelve plans have already been set into motion, leaving a world's fate in the hooves of a washed-up former engineer, and a failed protege lost in the shadow of her past.
