The Story Structures are good so far, I can't wait for your next chapter

330411 my proofreader was sick, but I appreciate the advice. I will fix what i can when i get a chance. Have a pleasant day :twilightsmile:

The only inconsistencies that I see is that they were low on fuel. I didnt catch a time that they were flying, but sure as hell they should've had more fuel else why take off at all, if the targets are at the edge of your range. I know they were supposed to be near land but still, a normal procedure is to leave your carrier, carry out the mission, and then return.
The Raptors has an internal fuel capacity of 18,000 lbs. which translates to an estimated range of 2,200 miles est. (actual figure is still classified)
The external fuel tanks can carry anywhere from 6000 to 8000 lbs of extra fuel
6000= 733.33- nautical miles
8000= 977.7778 nautical miles.
I know that the F-22 can carry external fuel tanks, maybe you can include that they were faulty and so weren't channeling the fuel, so they still have some fuel.
Yes some tanks have been known to be faulty.

The reason that I am stating all this is the fact that I cannot sit back and watch such a beautiful bird be grounded before exploring its territory. It's a suggestion.

334987 you make a valid point. But, after accelerating to Target and performing high speed turns/dives, a lot of fuel is wasted. On top of that, they are in a radio blackout. So spending any extra fuel cross crossing the ocean puts them at risk of a no rescue water landing. He decided to land in what he suspected was friendly territory and possibly get fuel and reconnect with the Enterprise. He is trained, like any pilot, to primarily protect himself and his copilot from harm. His next objective would be to reestablish contact with command for instructions. Lastly, if he came accross enemy combatants he needed to have enough fuel to safely retreat or counter attack. I hope this helps. P.S. the reserve tanks aren't present becuase it was a carrier based launch and the added wait makes catapult launch impossible. Also, the plane gets it's to see more actions soon don't you worry I plan to utilize it a lot in this series. :raritywink::twilightsmile:

Good start but I see one big big problem. That problem is that the F-22 raptor can't do carrier operations, it is strictly a land based aircraft and it is a single seater. I suggest using one of these aircraft, the F\A-18 Hornet, F-14 Tomcat, both of which are twin seats or you you could use the raptor little brother the F-35 Lighting 2, which has vertical take off abilities, but is also a single seater. I suggest the Hornet cause it is our primary carrier jet, is multi-role in the same mission (going from bombing to dogfighting in the same mission), and to make it seem realer has notorious short range. Other than that it is a interesting story update soon please.

545678 my dad pointed that out as well....:twilightsheepish: I will address this issue in the up coming chapter "Mixed Signals":pinkiehappy: Thank you for pointing that out though and thank you for the feed back.:ajsmug:
