Chapter 32: The Idiot King
Morning came for Ozymandias and The Diamond Dogs, a bleak morning for them. The clouds were dark around where they were, atop of a hill very near the Crystal Empire. They were preparing for the raid. Ozymandias stood alongside Rover, Spot and Fido as they looked over the quiet empire in the gloomy morning,
"Run by this plan with me again, Ozymandias" Rover ordered.
Ozymandias turned around, facing away from the empire and walked away, he expected the Diamond Dogs to follow him but they didn't. The three Diamond Dog leaders didn't want to turn away, they've never seen so many gems and jewels, it was a glorious sight for them to behold,
"Walk with me, Dogs" Ozymandias commanded.
They then followed his order. They hesitantly turned around and followed him,
"I was able to pick up a powerful spell from my former brother, Lavo. It's a spell in which I put all over the empire, it makes all the ponies magic useless. Quite a strong trick if you ask me. It will make them weaker, however, they are still strong, be sure to kill them quickly, rip to pieces like you animals do" Ozymandias told them.
"You said there wouldn't be any killing" Spot pointed out.
"I lied to you, of course we'll need to kill some of them, not the Prince or Princess though, they and the rest we can put in the dungeons" Ozymandias said.
"You lied?" Fido screeched.
"Yes, but you want the crystals, right, Fido?" Ozymandias questioned him.
"Yeah..." Fido honestly replied.
"Then you will kill" Ozymandias instructed him, "Tell the rest of your men that, because we'll be heading forward in half an hour"
"Yes, Ozymandias" The three responded.
twenty minutes later...
Celestia flew herself quickly to the Crystal Empire to talk her niece and nephew-in-law, she didn't pay attention to anything in her sights. She quickly galloped to the front gates and the guards instantly let her in. She entered the palace and made her way to the throne room to meet Cadence and Shining Armor,
"Aunt Tia. Thank goodness you're here" Princess Cadence said as she approached her aunt.
"I needed to get the word across to you in person, Cadence" Celestia told Cadence as she hugged her.
"We got word of the Dragons" Shining Armor said, "Have you got any word on Twiley?"
"I'm afraid not, Shining. I don't know if she's okay" Celestia replied, "She and her friends are being held captive by a group of Changeling terrorists"
Shining Armor sulked in worry for his sister and her friend's safety. His wife tapped his shoulder to get his attention, and give him a small smile, which was a way of saying she's probably fine,
"What else has happened, Tia?" Cadence asked her.
"Canterlot has burned down. Sombra has returned..." She told them.
"No!" Shining Armor shouted, "H-he can't be. He's dead"
"No, he was resurrected by the terrorists, he was meant to be killed though, the terrorists were going to betray him along with Discord, he's dead. Luna told me this" Celestia explained.
"Where did she get the information from?" Cadence asked.
"From an inventor by the name of Nikola Tesla" Celestia replied.
"I've heard about this Tesla guy, Twilight seems to like him.." Shining Armor said, "She told me about him in some her letters"
"She admires him very much, so does the rest of her friends" Celestia told him.
"Is Chrysalis not involved in this?" Cadence asked.
"No, she isn't. It's seven banished Changelings who are just wanting to cause mayhem" Celestia told her.
The three members of the royal family's conversation was halted when a guard burst into the throne room. He was gasping for air, and sprinkled with blood,
"My lord! Diamond Dogs are raidin-" The Guard began.
A sharp spear flew through the guard's neck and ended up lodged in his throat, he choked as blood squirted out his neck, he collapsed as Shining Armor, Cadance and Celestia looked out the throne room door and down the hallway to see the Diamond Dogs charge towards them. Shining took immediate action and stepped in front of his wife and aunt-in-law, and prepare for an attack, he tensed himself up for a spell, but only sparks flew out of his horn, he looked at his horn on his forehead and spoke out,
"What the heck?"
Ozymandias appeared from the crowd to face the three royals. The Diamond Dogs circled them to make they didn't escaped, some of the dogs carried corpses of guards, others held them alive. Ozymandias looked at Shining Armor with intensity then glanced at Cadence and Celestia, some of the dogs carried spears, drenched in blood and pointed them at the royals. Ozymandias smirked and then began to talk,
"Well, it's a surprise seeing Celestia here. I thought you would have been helping your sister" Ozymandias said.
"My sister can handle matters on her own, I wanted to pay my niece a visit and tell her what you and your friends were doing, face to face.." Celestia told him.
"Well, I'm not with my brothers anymore. Two of them are dead, thanks to me. Oh, tell me, is Sombra dead?" Ozymandias asked, wanting a confirmation if he killed him or not.
"No, he lives. But he's weak, he's slowly dying. The doctor's say he'll die in seven months" Celestia told him.
"Where's my sister, jerkass?" Shining Armor wanted an answer.
"With my brothers" Ozymandias said as he approached him, "I noticed you tried to do magic when we stormed up the hall, you're wondering why it didn't work?" Ozymandias questioned.
Shining Armor frowned and nodded at him,
"I enchanted the entire kingdom to not use any pony magic" Ozymandias explained, "So you, nor your wife, nor Princess Celestia, can not use any magic"
Ozymandias then looked at Cadence, who jerked her head away as Ozymandias looked at her,
"Speaking of your wife. She's a pretty thing, ain't she?" Ozymandias smirked.
"Stay away from her" Shining Armor ordered.
"Fido. Spot. Please restrain Celestia and Shining Armor from what I'm going to do" Ozymandias told them.
Fido and Spot nodded and quickly went to them. Fido held Shining Armor whilst Spot held Celestia,
"Stay away from her. Stay the fuck away from her, man!" Shining Armor shouted as he tried to break out from Fido's vice.
Ozymandias approached Cadence and made her feel uncomfortable. He put his face right in hers, and then intensely whispered,
"Do you know who I am?"
She shook her head, she was scared of what he might do,
"My name is Ozymandias. I'm the new king of this empire as of now, do you understand that?" Ozymandias made sure.
"Yes" Cadence replied as she rapidly shook her head.
"Say my name" Ozymandias told her.
"What?" She shook.
"Say my name" Ozymandias told her in a more demanding voice.
"Ozymandias" Cadence replied.
"My full title" Ozymandias said.
"Yes, King Ozymandias" Cadence responded.
"Better" Ozymandias uttered.
Ozymandias backed away from, and she gasped for air in relief. Ozymandias then looked at Shining Armor with a sly smile,
"You thought I was going to rape your wife?" Ozymandias asked, "Maybe give her a kiss or something? I don't like ponies, so she's safe"
Shining Armor wanted to hit Ozymandias, but couldn't through the Diamond Dog's powerful grip,
"Why haven't you got a crown, Shining?" Ozymandias asked.
"I don't like to wear them" He replied.
"Every ruler needs a crown" Ozymandias told him.
"I earned mine, but I didn't like to wear it. You don't deserve it, you don't even go out of your way to even earn it" Shining Armor told him.
Ozymandias looked at him with a hint of anger,
"I do deserve a crown, I deserve everything that's coming to me" Ozymandias replied.
"You deserve to be executed" Celestia uttered.
"I want my death to be bombastic. And if I do die, I want to die before you, Princess" He explained to her, "Dogs. Take them and the remaining alive guard to the dungeons. Once you've done that, feel free to roam this kingdom at your own leisurely pace"
two hours later...
Ozymandias sat on the crystal throne, he's had a busy morning, and spent the night prior making his way to the city. He closed his eyes and breathed slowly and dozed off, right before something came into his vision,
"Hello Ozymandias" The Truth greeted.
"Oh shit, you again" Ozymandias uttered, "Well, what do you want, Coffin Jockey? Are you going to criticize me again?"
"No, not yet. Ozymandias, you actually done pretty well, you took the kingdom and you imprisoned the royals" The Truth said.
"Yeah so?" Ozymandias asked.
"What next?" The Truth asked back, "What are you going to do now, that you're king, and hell, I use that word loosely. Are you going to exploit your power? What are you going to do if the Dragons come here, or worse, what if Masai comes here?"
"Masai can't do anything. He's busy enough as it is" Ozymandias told him.
"Busy enough as it is? You're kidding me. Oz, Masai has only accomplished one part of his project. Word will get to him a certain Changeling has labeled himself King of the Crystals. Lavo can get him here..." The Truth told him.
"And I'll wait" Ozymandias interrupted him, "I know Masai well, I've known him for years. If he comes to me, wanting to kill me. I'll be ready"
"What about Sombra?" The Truth asked.
"I thought you were smart, Truth? You know he's weakened by me, he's dying. If he comes here, he won't be able to use his magic against because no one can, except me" Ozymandias replied.
"He won't need magic to slaughter you, Oz. Sombra has killed ponies with other methods" The Truth argued.
"You know what? Fuck you, I don't actually care if he does come to try and kill me" Ozymandias cursed as he stormed off the throne.
Ozymandias paced himself angrily back and forth, not paying attention to The Truth. Ozymandias was muttering to himself as The Truth made his way to the throne. Ozymandias looked at The Truth, who was now sitting on the throne. Ozymandias' expression grew sour and his frowned intensely,
"Truth, what the fuck are you doing?" Ozymandias asked angrily.
"You tell me, Oz" The Truth responded, "What am I doing?"
"Get off of my throne" Ozymandias coldly commanded.
"No" The Truth calmly replied.
"Get off" Oz began, "Now!"
"Make me, Your Highness" The Truth said.
"I'll kill you, then get you out of my life for ever" Oz threatened.
The Truth let out a single muted "ha" before saying,
"Good luck with that"
"That's my throne" Ozymandias told him whilst pointing to himself.
"Last time I checked, it was Cadence's" The Truth replied.
"Why are you doing this?" Ozymandias asked.
"Because I want you to understand that there is a storm coming for you, Ozymandias" The Truth replied.
"I told you I don't care. I sent a message to Luna and Masai that I've taken the Empire. I'm admitting to being ready for everything, Masai will come, that's inevitable. But Luna will negotiate for her family's safety so..." Ozymandias explained to him.
The Truth banged his hoof off of the arm of the throne, making a loud thump that echoed in the room, shutting Ozymandias up,
"Your stupidity that led me to do this, son" The Truth interrupted, "I'm going to tell you that keeping members of the Royal Family hostage, nor Sombra wanting you dead, nor Masai also wanting you dead are the worst of your problems, Ozymandias. Hell, even the Dragons aren't the worst of your problems. You were meant to find out the worst of your problems yourself, but you've driven me to tell you anyways"
"What is going to be the worst of my problems then, old man?" Ozymandias asked with curiosity.
"Nikola Tesla..." The Truth replied.

Good one. What's your opinion The Truth (the character in my story, not from A Few Good Men)? Just that no one has mentioned about what they think about the guy, I'm just curious to know

I think he's living up to his name, seeing as how he seems to be the most knowledgeable of all the characters. Though why he seems to be favoriting Oz befuddles me at the moment. So far I really like him because he gives Oz his daily dose of cold reality.
