Chapter 23: ....Stretch Far Away

Masai, Lavo, Mimic and Vaako left the volcano with Twilight, Rarity, Fluttershy, Pinkie, Applejack, Rainbow Dash and Spike captive. Masai and his brothers were still angry on how Ozymandias killed Vaako and Incognito and left with Sombra,

"Next time I see Oz I'm going to fucking kill him" Mimic said.

"Get in line" Lavo replied.

"I hope he gets mauled by timberwolves" Vaako uttered.

"Brothers, I want Ozymandias dead just as much as all of you, but we need to get away from this damn volcano" Masai told his brothers.

"Fuck sake, I hate this. Nito and Kephri are dead. Oz is gone. Sombra is gone..." Mimic continued.

"Mimic. Calm down brother" Vaako said.

Mimic closed his eyes and got down on his knees,

"He killed my best friend..." Mimic spoke, "He fucking killed Nito"

Masai went over to him,

"Mick. Listen to me, we'll get back at Ozymandias. I promise you. We'll also hold a funeral for Nito and Kephri, but we need to get off this goddamn volca.." Masai said before being interrupted.

The thing that was interrupting him was the ground shaking, followed by the roars from Lyth and Umberoth. Everyone became scared slightly, except from Masai, who remained calm,

"Lavo. Can you transport us out of here?" Masai asked.

Lavo shook his head, "There's too many of us. The best I can do is eight and there's eleven of us"

"Shit. Well, I guess we're taking the slope down" Masai said.

"Should we let the Elements of Harmony and the dragon go down first?" Vaako asked.

"I have a name you know!" Spike shouted.

"Shut up!" Masai yelled back, "Yes, Vaako that's a good idea. Lavo, when we get close to the HQ use your blindfold spell, you can still do that right?"

"Yes, bro" Lavo replied.

Masai looked at the ponies and Spike,

"Also when we get to the bottom of the volcano, use your chain spell on their necks and forelegs" Masai told Lavo.

"Sure, man" Lavo replied.

"Alright, you seven" Vaako said to the ponies and Spike, "Get moving"

Once the eleven make it down to the bottom of the hill, Masai and Vaako led the front of Twilight's group whilst Mimic and Lavo looked from the back,

"There's no use trying to escape. One of us will stop you" Masai said.

"Why are ya doin' this?" Applejack asked.

"Reasons" Masai replied.

"A very vague answer" Rarity uttered.

"What was the deal with your friend back at the volcano?" Twilight asked.

"Ozymandias? I'd rather not discuss it" Masai told her.

Fluttershy spoke quietly, "Why...wh..why did kill Discord?"

"I had no use for him anymore. I was going to do the same thing with Sombra, until he escaped with Oz" Masai smirked.

Rainbow Dash then flew in front of Masai and came up close to his face, looking angry and pointing at him,

"Listen here, jerkass" Rainbow began, "Me and Discord may not have had the best relationship, but he was still my friend. And was one of Fluttershy's best friends..."

"Get back in the line Da..." Lavo interrupted her.

"Let her speak, brother" Masai told him.

"...and you better not hurt a single one of my friends or..." Dash continued.

"Rainbow Dash. You're not threatening me, are you?" Masai asked in a sarcastic manner.

"So what if I am?" Rainbow Dash asked back.

Masai didn't care about Rainbow's threats, and just smirked at her. He then turned around to face Fluttershy, then approached her, with cruel intentions. He took hold of Fluttershy, who became scared as soon as he put his hooves on her. He gave one last glare at the frowning Rainbow Dash before kissing Fluttershy on the lips. Rainbow Dash tried to stop him but she was held back by Vaako and the rest of her friends were held back by a magic vice from Lavo. Vaako made Dash watch as Masai let in his slippery, snake-like tongue through Fluttershy's lips. Fluttershy felt extremely uncomfortable and tried hitting Masai to get him off, but to him, the hits were very soft. Fluttershy began to cry, and her friends couldn't help her, they could only watch as she was getting hurt by Masai. After about a minute and a half of kissing, Masai let go of Fluttershy and then came up to Rainbow Dash, who was still held by Vaako's forelegs,

"Because if you are threatening me, Rainbow Dash, then you shouldn't. In fact, you should really watch your tongue, it can get your friends in trouble" He told Dash before facing Fluttershy, who was lying on the ground crying, "Ain't that right, Fluttershy?"

Fluttershy didn't reply, she curled up and felt used. She was crying so much, it hurt for her friends to even listen to her,

"You better keep up, everyone" Vaako told the ponies.

Applejack and Rarity helped Fluttershy back up on her hooves,

"C'mon sugar cube. It's okay now" Applejack tried to comfort her.

"Fluttershy, just stay close to us, okay darling?" Rarity made sure.

Fluttershy nodded hesitantly, "Okay"

They all continued on the journey to the Brotherhood's hut. Fluttershy was still shaking from what happened and Rainbow Dash felt angry at herself, if she didn't threaten Masai then that wouldn't have happened to her.

They were on the outskirts of the Badlands, but yet, they were about seven miles away from the Brotherhood's hut. The eleven decided to take a rest,

"Okay everyone, if you need to stretch your legs, now is the time. We're going to take a rest, and maybe catch a glimpse of the dragons being released" Masai said as he sat down on the sandy ground, "Also, don't try to escape"

"Sit down" Vaako ordered the ponies.

Twilight and her group slumped down onto the cold and sandy ground,

"Now that we're resting. Now could be a good time to tell us why you're doing this? I mean a more descriptive reason. You're double crossing your own race and mine, you practically killed Discord, you're committing a crime so heinously big that you even had to get both Sombra AND Discord involved, you harass my friend, and for what?" Twilight asked.

"Reasons" Masai replied, being deliberately mysterious.

Twilight sighed, realizing he wasn't going to give a more descriptive reason for his plan,

"I hope Nikola is okay" Rarity spoke out.

"Me too" Twilight said.

"Where do you suppose he could be?" Masai asked.

"I have no clue" Twilight replied.

"You should probably eat something from Miss Pie's saddle pack, because it's either a good sandwich from there or some tainted meat from our freezer back home, and I know how much ponies don't like eating meat" Masai told them.

"Masai, what should we do with the ponies once we get back to the hut?" Lavo asked.

"Chain them, tie them to chairs, just as long as they don't escape and I'll be satisfied" Masai replied.

"Oh Masai" Lavo whispered.

"Yes, Lavo" Masai replied.

"Mimic hasn't said a single thing since the volcano. I tried speaking to him, he won't talk though. Can you try please bro? Maybe he might speak to you" Lavo asked.

"Yeah, sure man" Masai said.

Mimic was sitting a few feet in front of everyone else, just staring out into the distance, he felt awful, he missed Kephri and Incognito a lot, and they both died just forty minutes ago. Masai went over to Mimic and sat down beside him,

"Hey brother" Masai greeted.

Mimic took a while before greeting back to Masai, "Hi, Masai"

"You feeling okay?" Masai asked.

Mimic shook his head, "I feel awful. I can't believe the both of them are dead.."

"Hey, Mick. It's okay.." Masai began.

"It isn't. They were my friends, Nito was my best friend. And I thought Oz was my friend too" Mimic said, tearing up, "My family is dead, my best friend is dead, I don't know what to do now, Masai" Mimic sniffed.

Masai breathed out his nose, then said to Mimic,

"You need to hang on. We've all lost our families, Mimic. I lost my girlfriend and my brother, by blood, Vaako lost his wife and kid, Lavo lost his daughter and I know you lost your uncle. Kephri and Incognito did what they could, and you know what? They died for us, for the Brotherhood, and I will remember them as great friends until the day I die" Masai told Mimic.

Mimic quietly cried and nodded. Twilight's group was watching Mimic cry, they never seen a being that has done so many bad things and cry over two deaths. Masai came closer to Mimic and gave him a hug, Mimic clenched tightly onto him and cried into his shoulder,

"It's okay, man. We'll get back at Oz, I promise you. He'll die. Once this is all over, once Equestria is in ashes, we'll all be with our families and friends soon" Masai said.

Mimic felt better, but was still feeling depressed over Kephri and Incognito. Masai stood up and then looked at Twilight,

"You want to know the reason for why we're doing this, Twilight?" Masai asked.

"Yes" Twilight replied.

"Back when me and my Brotherhood were part of an army platoon, we were sent with Chrysalis to commit the Canterlot raid. You remember that, right?" Masai asked.

"My brother's wedding, yes, I remember that" Twilight said.

"There weren't many casualties on the Changelings side, there was none on the ponies side. That disappointed me, and many other Changelings. Before all this, they was more of us in the platoon, they would've been in the Brotherhood if they didn't die so early, among them was my brother, my real brother, by blood. He was killed during the Canterlot raid..." Masai paused, "...by you, Twilight, and Pinkie"

Twilight and Pinkie's eyes widened,

"Yeah, that's right. After Pinkie went all rapid fire with your magic, it hit many Changelings, including my brother, when we retreated it was too late, my brother died and we fucked up the raid. My depression kept on sinking in and it strained my relationship between me and my girlfriend" Masai continued, "A few weeks later, Chrysalis was still angry about the botched raid, she went nuts, and I mean fucking apeshit nuts. She ordered my platoon to go kill a bunch of villagers outside the hive, out of anger, we couldn't do it. So, what she did was, she sent another platoon, to kill everyone we knew instead. That's how most of the platoon were killed, same with our families, it's also how I gained this scar on my eye here. Chrysalis spared us and banished us, it was winter, we nearly died in the cold. We found a hut and planned Project Anarchy there. It was all meant to run like clockwork, until Ozymandias fucked all that up" Masai explained, "And here we are now, just sit back and relax and watch the volcano. It shouldn't be long now until Lyth and Umberoth are released"

A loud rumble came from afar, the dragon's volcano had exploded at the top. The six ponies and Spike watched in shock as they saw Lyth and Umberoth escape from their prison, Masai casually turned around and smirked at the sight. Masai then went over to Pinkie's saddle pack and got a bottle of water from it. Then sat back down and watched the dragons fly away and roar,

"It begins" Masai uttered.

Next chapter will focus solely on Ozymandias, after he left Sombra and Canterlot.
