Cadance expects a nice night on the town. Chrysalis expects a feast of love. They both get what they want, but in a way neither of them expect. The only question is how long can they keep it a secret?
‘In a few months, this whole city will be wrapped around my finger and the Princesses will be none the wiser. The Hive crown is as good as mine.’
Normally perhaps, but here's the thing. Plans like this can be unraveled by a single idiot.
That position required patience, precision, and a firm grasp of power, things that Widow spent years to cultivate for when she became Queen.
She has a point.
A sinister grin creeped onto her face as a familiar plan began to form. “So many easy, exploitable mistakes.”
Oh dear.
I'm taking a page from Wanderer D'sRangerfic(godDAMN I love that fic)and I'm going to try to write shorter chapters from here on out. Writing and editing 5k chapters is a pain in the ass with all the studying I'm doing so 1-3k chapters should make it easier to get things out. That much I can easily do if I'm on a roll. Even as I write this, I have another chapter that's nearing completion. Might be done before finals.
8852566 Indeed. Ponyville, particularly the 30 hoof radius around Pinkie, has the supernatural power of "what the fuck was I doing again?". Next thing she knows, she's helping Fluttershy feed the animals with no memory of how she got talked into it.
The funny thing is that I don't care about this section of the plot. Seriously, for me at least there is enough conflict and complexity around Shining, Chrysalis and Cadance to make its own story.
Now it is split between a complex romance and thus side plot of Chrysalis' sibling and quite honestly after so long I don't really feel like I want to read anymore if I am only going to be scrolling 1k chapters to get what I am here for: Chrysalis and her evolving relationship with Cadance.
I'll slide this down to "tracking" stories but this was over for me in about two minutes.
8855109 I’m sorry you feel that way. I hope you’ll come back to it eventually. If I knew what would happen to this story, things might have taken a much different turn, but this is where it’s going and I don’t feel like rewriting it again. If it turns out crappy, then so be it, but I’ll still give it my best shot to finish it, even if it means piece by piece.
Chrysalis' sibling in Ponyville? Pinkie Pie surely will be happy while Twilight need to buy another stock of aspirin.
Holy, SHIT!
I can take shorter chapters with more updates. Good to see this back, and a true villainess for the series.
"It lives!"
Jokes aside, nife to see it back.
It's alive!
And that visit can only end well.

Oh dear.
Hey man, you do you.

Oh, she would definitely prefer REAL sugar. Artificial Sweetener has a funny aftertaste.
But... my pitchfork is soo shiny and pointy..
It's been a while since I read this, but I'd forgotten how enjoyable I found your variation of Chrysalis to be.
She's not evil, but is rather sympathetic while also being a bit hostile to ponies...
Just a fun character, to be honest.
Is it even theoretically possible to use the words bland and Pinkie Pie in the same sentence?

Two words:
Baked...Bads...

I stand corrected.

I wish you luck.
